The elevator broke for most of our first day there, so we had to climb 6 flights of stairs each time we went out, plus the room beside ours woke us up at 4:30 am talking very loudly. I had to bang on the wall twice and eventually had to call the front desk, but it continued past 6am.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Gabriel for 3 nights. It was perfectly located on Ocean Drive right across from the beach. It was easy walking around the area or catching an Uber if we wanted to go somewhere farther. We loved the outdoor area around the pool and outdoor bar. It was nicely decorated and updated. The restaurant was good, too, and offered some nice drink specials for happy hour. The hotel staff were always very pleasant and honest. We didn’t feel like they were trying to sell us anything. There was a mixup with our room and another guest who had the same last name, but the manager promptly resolved the issue and made up for it. The hotel has two pools, one is on the rooftop of the adjacent building and offers beautiful views. The other pool is on the patio and has ample seating and umbrellas. Going to the beach was super convenient as well - you simply walked up to the kiosk and they set you up with chairs which is included in the price of the hotel. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in the heart of South Beach. Hopefully one day we will be back!

The valet service was extremely slow and disorganized. We waited over 30 minutes to check in our car and another 15 minutes to get valet ticket by text. All that and you still pay $48 night. The service was so bad they should have comped us. Fortunately the check in and room were better. Valet, wouldn’t recommend

Hotel is in the heart of ocean drive where there was lot of activity going on and very close to the beach. lobby and the restaurants are really good. Had a complimentary electric bike and the room was cleaned everyday. Not sure the type of room I had the bathroom had only half covered with glass and all the water was spilling out and the bed was not that comfy. And the WiFi was not working well. Other than that really enjoyed the stay. Would go back

The property was a classic art deco style hotel that was built in 1934, which made it very charming. However, it was still in a very updated and good condition. The rooftop pool had a beautiful view and the other pool was very hip and had a fun vibe. All the restaurants were wonderful, but very expensive, which was normal for the area. The accommodations were clean and pleasant. Our ocean view room with balcony wa very spacious and beautiful. The balcony itself was huge also. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Just dirty. The floor in my room was so dirty. Like they need a good steam cleaning they were so dirty. The grime was visible on floor. Every pool cushion and pillow had visible grime and mold stains. For the amount I paid for a 4 star hotel I could have stayed at the Hyatt which is actually clean.

The hotel is noisy at night, the windows are bad, there is no sound isolation. The staff was nice, but when you call for a service from the room it goes to some call center in India, and you never get what you asked for. I had to walk to front desk any time anything was wrong. On the first night they didn't put extra bedding for the third person - I booked the room for 3 - after waiting for hours had to go myself and get it. The floors were dirty in the room, even after they "cleaned" it. The faucets had water marks, although the bathroom itself was clean.

We were very excited at first We got checked in early, staff was kind, room was gorgeous but then we noticed the refrigerator was leaking water then went to get ready for dinner and none of the electrical outlets worked in the bathroom and some did not work in the room. Then when we returned from dinner we discovered TVs did not work. Guest services said there would be no TV functionality until next week…we laid in bed and watched our tablet not ideal at $300 a night!

Well, although you could see the ocean from the sealed window (partial ocean view) in fairness this hotel is not ocean front. The room was ok, but not good. I could go on about the cleaning procedures but that’s another story. The staff at check in was very friendly, however at check out not at all. They were of course busy, it’s Miami. I was told at check in that valet would be $8 and be charged at check out. They of course wanted a card on file for coincidental ( the initial charge was $300) we didn’t charge anything to the room while there. At check out apparently the charge ~$22 for something (maybe valet both ways? Plus tax? They also charged ~$53 for something else? They didn’t give a receipt at check out just said, “you’re all good” Eric was kinda rude at check out, but I guess that’s just Miami? Anyway we won’t be stopping There on the way back home. By the way. The city of Miami was super fun, although some people in your party might get to drunk.

The hotel was very nice and clean. Everything was modern and the rooftop swimming pool had an amazing view. The staff there is very nice and accommodating. We also received a complementary 2 hour extra check out time which was very thoughtful. There are cvs, walgreens, and targets around the are within a walkable distance. The valet parking is not free unfortunately. The middle of the building where our hotel room is all open, so the bar can get quite noisy at night around 12-2 am. Early and light sleepers should reconsider this hotel due to noise, but everything else was amazing.

Check in & check out was a breeze. My room was clean, quiet & comfortable. I was a bit annoyed by the resort fees but it does come with 2 chairs on the beach daily, a 2 hour bike rental & choice of 1 on demand movie. The view from the roof pool was spectacular & the gym was clean & had nice equipment. Timothy at guest servjces was phenomenal. Very professional, friendly & knowledgeable about the activities around the area. I would definitely return to this hotel. Truly enjoyed my stay.

My wife and I stayed at the Gabriel to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The staff made our stay beyond memorable; Tanesha at check in was sensational! She made our stay one to brag about. The food and beverage manager Sena clearly defines what 5 star means to a hotel , she went above and beyond to make my wife and I feel like we just got married. Last but definitely not least Keki who engaged with us at the restaurant and provided exceptional food and drink recommendations is what every hotel should strive to have on their staff. His personality, customer friendly approach & overall engagement provided excellent customer experience. I would highly recommend the Gabriel if anyone is looking for a 5 star feeling in a boutique hotel.

The beach is walk across the street, very convenient. There isn’t a view of the beach from the room, however our room overlooks the pool. The hotel is on Ocean Drive which is the most popular street in South Beach. If you’re not a fan of crowds and non stop activities this might not be the spot for you. It’s a very beautiful location. The room was large enough for my husband and I. It was clean and tidy. We would stay again.

The hotel was wonderful, but the restaurant service and food was way below par. In fact one of the dishes, Lox and Bagel was so bad that it had to be sent back to avoid being sick. We eat out often and I cannot recall when we last had to send food back. The restaurant service was so bad. We had to ask for our coffee 3-4 times after the food arrived. They did take the coffees off the bill and didn’t charge for the Lox and Bagel. We were not looking for a bargain in price and that is also why we picked the Gabriel Hotel. Nice stay, but please go to one of the neighbor restaurants for food.

I cannot say enough about this hotel. Firstly, the customer service is second to none. Nora and the rest of the staff go out of their way to accommodate their guests. Second, the location is amazing. Right in the middle of all of Miami’s most delicious eats, and directly across the street from the beach. Also, the restaurant in the hotel is so great. Wonderful selection of drinks and food. I will keep coming back and refer all of my friends.

Not too bad for an old hotel. For the price next time I’ll book big hotel . Food wasn’t great at property. Service was good okay. Not much going on at pool during day or hotel in the evening. Needs a facelift and revamp.

At Restaurant, hostess told us they have %50 off whoever stay in hotel and if they eat in hotel restaurant. Then we sit and ordered many foods, when we get check they apply %15 and we asked why don’t u apply for %50 she said I never said 50 I said 15, I and my partner are sure she said 50, it was the reason we ordered little extra food for try to other food. Basically they are scamming, then other day we sit for hookah I ordered most expensive hookah ($100+$20tip). I ordered around at 11pm. Before I ordered I asked restaurant what time you guys closing? She said around 1:00am ( if we have customers we are closing late could be 2am ) so he brought my hookah after 5 minutes he brought check( we didn’t ask) he come back around 11:50pm and said we are closing at midnight I paid check and i asked can I still smoke he said yes. At midnight(12am) he came back again said I have to take hookah and he took it, I complained to restaurant manager. He have to tell us if they close before restaurant, so manager come and listened us and said he have to let her know before he goes. And she refunded half of the money. So she was really good and helpful she apologized. But overall hostess and hookah server were not professional at all.
