Great place to get away to get for a few days, enjoy a slower pace and get some rest and relaxation. Scenic area by Lake Whitney and several parks, deer visit property in morning and evening, a variety of birds visit the feeder all day and beautiful wildflowers blooming all around the large wooded property in April. The home has a large deck in the back with about every variety of seating you could want and several tables. The game barn is fun with a ping pong table and a selection of sports equipment including corn hole toss. The home itself was really nice. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Nice thick towels and cloths in the bathrooms. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, cups, utensils and various supplies. The kitchen table is large and seats eight. If you aren’t sitting outside there is plenty of seating in the house. Would definitely enjoy visiting again.

Home was absolutely fabulous ! Very Clean, well maintained, and a very peaceful / restful location in the country ! The kitchen is marvelously stocked with everything imaginable that you could need to cook anything ... FANTASTIC !!!!! Just bring what you want to cook, they have all the equipment needed !! Beds were extremely comfortable. Living Room has good sized Smart TV and is easy to operate. Best part of the house might just be the back yard patio and the Restful and Soothing "quad wooden swings" !! Hosts are really wonderful hosts to work with. They are excellent communicators -- maybe the best we have ever dealt with. You will not regret booking this VRBO !!!!!

My sister and her family and I absolutely loved our stay. The home is well equipped, sits on 3 beautiful acres with some of the most stunning sunrises and sunsets. We were even witness to an amazing double rainbow while sitting on the huge deck. We had deer who visited every morning and evening along with beautiful birds and bunnies. Access to the private lake cove with fishing topped off the trip! When in the area, we will definitely stay there again. The hosts were most helpful. It was worth every penny!

Such an amazing trip! The property was absolutely beautiful! Plenty of room for guest and our boat. The house was full of all the necessities we needed for our stay! The game barn was fun loaded with every game needed to keep grandson busy! A perfect weekend for a break from the hustle and bustle. The host was very attentive to my messages. Very kind people! Will definitely stay here again.

Stayed at the Bridgeview Lodge for the 4/8/24 total eclipse. Could not have asked for a better experience. The house itself was perfect for two families with teen and college-age kids, with plenty of room to spread out and was very comfortable. The adults had private, nicely appointed queen bed rooms, while the kids had a huge loft with multiple beds and gave them a space of their own as well. The barn full of outdoor toys kept everybody entertained, and the huge back deck was perfect for enjoying the view of the eclipse (which was spectacular). Kitchen was well-stocked and convenient for putting together family sized meals at the huge dining room table. Our host Melissa went above and beyond for us, answering all of our questions quickly,both before, during, and after our stay. She even checked with the local sheriff to see if a burn ban that was is in effect would prevent us from using the firepit (it didn't). Just a very memorable experience in a great place. Highly recommend!

The cabin was very cute, comfortable and fit all of our group! The back patio is amazing! We enjoyed barbecuing and then eating altogether at the large kitchen table! Beds are comfortable towels are soft. We had everything we needed. And bonus points we saw two baby deer and a mom on the property every day! Thank you so much for sharing your home. Hopefully, we will be back soon!

We loved the cabin atmosphere! Great for our 3 different couples! The property had so much to offer! The house was cozy with a very equipped kitchen! All so perfect for our Christmas celebration. The property was beautiful! We enjoyed the deer, the swings, the barn activities, and household games! The walk to the cove at the lake was delightful!

Property as described. Clean and spacious. Only issue was that the lake was low and the boat ramp was unusable for us but that is not to blame on the property. Ended up using the ramp 12 mins away at Cedron Park. Deer every morning and evening. Very quiet place to relax.

Myself and 5 buddies stayed here fo a weekend and were very happy with this cabin. Probably the best stocked kitchen of any rental I’ve stayed at, even had stainless steel baking trays! They have the same Weber grill I have at home. The back porch is an awesome place to hang out! There’s 4 swinging benches surrounding a fire pit(solo stove thing) that is super relaxing. This was a great spot for a weekend hey away. My only disappointment was that the listing does make it seem like it’s a little more secluded than it is, there are neighbors on either side about 100 yds away, we did our best to be respectful, but we weren’t exactly quiet and I didn’t receive any complaints(hopefully the owners didn’t either lol). On the morning of our departure the backyard was full of deer not 30ft off the back porch that hung out for awhile. I heard some feeders go off in the woods on the property so I bet it’s high odds you’d see some too! 10/10 would stay again and you should too!!

We loved staying at Bridgeview Lodge! The private cove to launch our pontoon boat was awesome. The house was exactly as described and had extra household products like toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, etc. The back porch was our favorite place to hangout in the evenings. The firepit with the swings was a huge plus, very cool to sit around and catch up while stargazing. Thanks Steve and Melissa for sharing your wonderful lake house with us!

We had an enjoyable family weekend here. The cabin was very clean and well kept. They also provided so many nice amenities that are so helpful. The location was perfect, so peaceful. Loved seeing the deer pass through the property and also enjoyed fishing at the private cove. We would totally recommend Bridgeview Lodge.

I tried to contact the owner prior to our trip to inquire as to whether we needed to bring beach chairs and did not receive an answer. Turns out, there were only two and we should have brought more. There were also sharp stickers from outside that were everywhere and required that everyone wear shoes all the time as they were not easy to see and ground into carpeted areas.

Some members of my family and I stayed 2 nights at this house. The house location was beautiful. Grocery stores and restaurants were a short drive away. We saw deer every morning and evening. The yard was big and well maintained. My 5 and 7 year old granddaughters loved the tire swing. We didn't have to worry about their squeals and shouting bothering the neighbors. There was plenty of comfortable seating on the huge deck in the back yard. The kitchen had everything needed and was very well stocked. We had 3 vehicles and there was plenty of parking. If staying in the area we will definitely want to stay here again.

This property was absolutely perfect for our family/friends weekend getaway trip! Our little ones loved all the space to run around and play freely and the neighborhood cove was so much fun as well! We will definitely be rebooking for another trip asap!

This place is absolutely perfect! From the deck, to the fire pit and the location, I can’t say enough good things about it. We are already planning more family trips here! It was me, my boyfriend, his mom, brother and our two dogs, there was more than enough room for all of us. Our dogs LOVED running around on the property, they took full advantage of the 3 acres. The deck on the back was perfect in the morning for reading and drinking coffee, and the fire pit was perfect in the evening for dinner and s’mores. There are deer all over the neighborhood and they even made an appearance every morning right in the back yard! The house inside is just as perfect with everything you could need, new appliances and super comfy beds. I could keep going on, I honestly have nothing negative to say about this place.

This is my second visit in 2 months ;) I love this VRBO! It’s so peaceful and quiet, plenty of wildlife to see and the view is amazing. Wildflowers blooming everywhere was a nice bonus this trip. Thanks again, Steve and Melissa!

Such an amazing trip! The property was absolutely beautiful! Plenty of room for guest and our boat. The house was full of all the necessities we needed for our stay! The game barn was fun loaded with every game needed to keep grandson busy! A perfect weekend for a break from the hustle and bustle. The host was very attentive to my messages. Very kind people! Will definitely stay here again.

Stayed at the Bridgeview Lodge for the 4/8/24 total eclipse. Could not have asked for a better experience. The house itself was perfect for two families with teen and college-age kids, with plenty of room to spread out and was very comfortable. The adults had private, nicely appointed queen bed rooms, while the kids had a huge loft with multiple beds and gave them a space of their own as well. The barn full of outdoor toys kept everybody entertained, and the huge back deck was perfect for enjoying the view of the eclipse (which was spectacular). Kitchen was well-stocked and convenient for putting together family sized meals at the huge dining room table. Our host Melissa went above and beyond for us, answering all of our questions quickly,both before, during, and after our stay. She even checked with the local sheriff to see if a burn ban that was is in effect would prevent us from using the firepit (it didn't). Just a very memorable experience in a great place. Highly recommend!

Our daughter and her bridesmaids stayed here the night before the wedding. They all said it was disappointing they had to leave- it was so beautiful and the extra touches were just perfect! Great communication with the owner! Loved it!! Thank you!

I tried to contact the owner prior to our trip to inquire as to whether we needed to bring beach chairs and did not receive an answer. Turns out, there were only two and we should have brought more. There were also sharp stickers from outside that were everywhere and required that everyone wear shoes all the time as they were not easy to see and ground into carpeted areas.

The property was perfect. Our gathering was at my home and this was for family members to find a bit of peace in order to rejoin the group rested and restored. Steve & Melinda Henderson covered every possible base to make it a wonderful experience.

We had an enjoyable family weekend here. The cabin was very clean and well kept. They also provided so many nice amenities that are so helpful. The location was perfect, so peaceful. Loved seeing the deer pass through the property and also enjoyed fishing at the private cove. We would totally recommend Bridgeview Lodge.

Some members of my family and I stayed 2 nights at this house. The house location was beautiful. Grocery stores and restaurants were a short drive away. We saw deer every morning and evening. The yard was big and well maintained. My 5 and 7 year old granddaughters loved the tire swing. We didn't have to worry about their squeals and shouting bothering the neighbors. There was plenty of comfortable seating on the huge deck in the back yard. The kitchen had everything needed and was very well stocked. We had 3 vehicles and there was plenty of parking. If staying in the area we will definitely want to stay here again.

My sister and her family and I absolutely loved our stay. The home is well equipped, sits on 3 beautiful acres with some of the most stunning sunrises and sunsets. We were even witness to an amazing double rainbow while sitting on the huge deck. We had deer who visited every morning and evening along with beautiful birds and bunnies. Access to the private lake cove with fishing topped off the trip! When in the area, we will definitely stay there again. The hosts were most helpful. It was worth every penny!

We enjoyed our stay. This house has everything you need to be comfortable. We normally stay right on the water but the house has great views and was a quick 6min ride to the water, with the perfect private beach and swimming location. We had a great time floating and laughing. Really enjoyed the swings and firepit. The deer and roadrunner were a great treat. My only tip to visitors would be to screen shot the door code or wifi password before you get all the way to the house lol. None of us had service way out there and had to drive back up to the main road to get service and see the instructions on how to get into the door lol. We got the information in plenty of time it was totally lack of planning on our part. Happy floating!

Our family is frequent visitors of the Lake Whitney area especially during July 4th. This property was absolutely amazing. From the moment we pulled up to the property we were greeted by deer, they are everywhere and it was absolutely amazing. The Bridge View Lodge provided a nature wildlife cozy type feeling and the back view of the property was absolutely amazing and you can see the Katy bridge over Lake Whitney. The inside of the lodge provided a comfort at home like feeling and has everything you need. We were extremely happy with this property and can’t think of one con. We will be back forsure and we definitely recommend.

Property as described. Clean and spacious. Only issue was that the lake was low and the boat ramp was unusable for us but that is not to blame on the property. Ended up using the ramp 12 mins away at Cedron Park. Deer every morning and evening. Very quiet place to relax.

We loved staying at Bridgeview Lodge! The private cove to launch our pontoon boat was awesome. The house was exactly as described and had extra household products like toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, etc. The back porch was our favorite place to hangout in the evenings. The firepit with the swings was a huge plus, very cool to sit around and catch up while stargazing. Thanks Steve and Melissa for sharing your wonderful lake house with us!

We have stayed here before during our family gatherings at Cedar Shores. We enjoy this house and its perfect for what we need. Checj in is very easy. Kitchen is great, especially the toaster! Beds are comfortable and the views are great to wake up to. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks!
