Residence Inn by Marriott Williamsburg

Great location. Friendly staff. Big room. Kids loved the ice cream at happy hour and the basketball court.

Interior appears to updated. Could clean the corners better. Exterior is horrible. Ripped screens, dirty exterior, exterior door by my room was filthy, exterior plantings need to be maintained. I walked around the building numerous times. The back is nasty. Needs to be painted and/or pressure sprayed. Disappointed in this Marriott property. Not up to beautiful Williamsburg standards.

Our stay was nice. The property is definitely starting to show its age. We could hear the room next door like they were in our room. There was also a lot of dog noise. Probably due to prices and the economy but the breakfast has really gone down hill. Barely any choices and the quality of food was rough.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was super friendly & kind. The grounds needed to be maintained a bit, otherwise, it was a great a value, easy to find, & perfect for our little mini-vacay.

All was good except the room across from us had a dog that was left alone all morning and barked non stopping. It was not pleasant at all to be waken up because of it. The hotel MUST reconsider the pet policy and either ban it or fine the people who did not care to disturb the whole floor. That was unacceptable.

Our shower curtain was moldy. My comforter had large brown stains on it. While using the gym a HUGE cockroach crawled across the floor. The pool was absolutely disgusting. Cloudy, moldy walls, moldy filter, hair floating, stains everywhere. Disappointing when you choose the hotel because it has an outdoor pool. Was happy to be leaving and Definitely would not stay there again.

Nice place, rooms were clean and big. Parking close and area was safe. Walking distance to chilis restaurant and several others. Decent breakfast included.

Place was absolutely perfect for the six of us and or pet. Everyone was so polite and friendly Enjoyed that you had a breakfast every morning and snacks throughout the day and for the pets as well. An A in our books

My stay here was great! I was alone visiting my boyfriend, and it was easy for me to go pick him up and come back whenever I needed. The room was pretty clean, but it wasn't "perfection." There was some dust buildup and crumbs under the bed and behind the table. I only noticed because I dropped some things and saw it all when I went to retrieve my items. I opted out of housekeeping because I wanted privacy for the weekend with my boyfriend. Also loved the easy and very early check-in! I was checked in by 11 am with minimal issues (My card declined and my bank was giving me issues. Not at all the hotel's fault and they were very understanding!) Also, love that it is 18+ check-in minimum since both my boyfriend and I are only 20 years old, and it is so hard to find places to stay since most are 21+. My only complaint is I did find a couple live roaches in my room by the last day...one I found alive in my water bottle (SO GROSS) and another I found later crawling on the wall when I was getting ready to check out. It could've been because I didn't have any housekeeping come in, but I don't know. The hotel is pet-friendly, and you could hear a couple of dogs barking down the hall, but the rooms are pretty soundproof because it is so large! Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely be back if I ever needed!

I have stayed here several times over the last two years and this time the room and overall facility was disappointing to say the least. - no shower curtain - door to room and lock was broken - the breakfast was dismissal ( no grits nor oatmeal, no waffles, eggs were premade rubber circles, potatoe la were greasy and had sausage that looked grey, the cereal was stale, the hot water was Luke warm) - staff looked tired and were in their personal phones - the room I stayed in had home made paper signs warning of the smoking fine - the shower was not cleaned and the shampoo and conditioner containers were not filled (empty) - no soap - the hallways and overall facility needs a deep cleaning - never saw a cleaning crew - the room had one roll of toilet paper had to go to front desk and wait for 5 min for someone to appear to be given one roll The front desk when I tried to discuss the shortfalls they were unable to do anything “It is what it is” Tried contacting Marriott as I am a long time member and never heard back.

The property was clean and well kept and the staff was courteous and helpful.

Noisy HVAC, could not tell soap from shampoo(green on green lettering), never got room made up.

The only issue was the smell in the room, it smelled damp

Nice big room, but the amenities were lacking. Had to ask for more towels, kitchen towels, liquid dish soap, and a television remote. The staff was very accommodating, but it would have been nice to have those things in the room already. The kitchen was sparsely furnished compared to other RIs. The hotel is older, but overall I liked the location, the large room layout, and would stay there again.

Waited 10 minutes at front desk before we saw anyone. Got to room, no toilet paper, returned to front desk waited five minutes until front desk worker returned. I fixed the toilet in the room as it would not stop running, it was running when I got to the room. Shower curtain torn, fixture of some sort hanging from bathroom ceiling, rust on bathroom fixtures, no turn down on second day no replacing linens, $500 for two nights… oh yeah and there was a barking dog (at least that reminded us of home). Not a real good look

The deposit takes to long to get back on your account. You have to call this location several times before someone from the front desk answers. Room was nice, clean.

The staff was super accommodating. We arrived well before check-in time and since there was availability we got our room right away. It was so great to not have to check our luggage and come back later.

Breakfast was ample and pleasant, with hot items such as eggs and waffles. Property was clean and free snacks from 5-8 pm were nice. Only negative: requested extra pillows for pull out bed and was told "No, housekeeping doesn\'t like to give those out," from the front desk staff, which was a surprise and disappointing. Overall a great stay.

Excellent staffing. Desire, Chad, Matt, red headed lady and blonde haired lady at desk as well as kitchen staff thru maintenance. Very good customer service.

The room was incredibly warm 76 degrees, the comforter on the bed was dirty..looked like dried up coffee, breakfast is served until 10am there was no coffee or main entree at 9:35..we were told they’ll check or working on it. Some Food was brought out 15-20 minutes later. Check out is at 11am and 10:45 we found ourselves locked out due to key card being cut off.

We arrived at 9:00 pm. We waited 1/2 an hour for someone to arrive check us in. When they went to check us in our room wasn’t ready and they said we would have to wait more than an hour for it to be done. Again, it was 9:30 at night.

Very good location for Williamsburg activities and restaurants. Shows aging and needed attention to upkeep…damaged refrigerator, ceiling shows edges of wallboard, etc. Very expensive for the quality. Breakfast is quite average even by US restaurant standards.

Rooms are a bit dingy and breakfast was crowded and hot temperature-wise. Trash fans are too small in the room and glad there is recycling. Front desk staff was friendly and nice!
