The one staff member I saw during my visit was very helpful and polite. I stayed previously in the heat and the room was ok even if no aircon. This time the room was very hot, the wooden floor was hotter than underfloor heating. The room itself had no side lamps so couldn’t read in bed and the light switch was the other side of the room, there was wood missing from the side units, a stain on the curtains, the bathroom door didn’t have a catch so couldn’t close fully unless locked from the inside - so light came through the bathroom door in the morning. There were 4 very loud bangs during the night that woke me startled and struggled to get much sleep at all. Very disappointed this time.

My son and I stayed here for one night in the summer holidays. The hotel was nice and the room/beds were comfortable, albeit a bit stuffy in the heat. No fans and the window had restricted opening. Staff were helpful and welcoming. There were a couple of downfalls for me hence 3 stars overall. We had stopped at Wembley for the Pixar experience and a walk around the shops etc on our way up, so when we got to our room we wanted to kick off our shoes, get comfortable and relax for the evening. However, our phone in our room wasn't working to be able to order room service, so I had to go down to order it. Which isn't a huge deal, but kind of takes the point away of wanting room service so you can be lazy and not move from your room 😅 when the food arrived, my sons steak turned up first, but without any cutlery, so by the time the lady came back up with my food and the cutlery, his food was actually cold. Which was a shame! Had he been given his cutlery at the same time he could have tucked in straight away. The breakfast wasn't the best and because we arrived at the later end, nothing had been refreshed, so the hot water for tea was lukewarm. Just small attentions to detail like this could make a big difference. Overall the stay was pleasant. It was quiet at night and the staff were lovely. But I would be unlikely to stay again.

Lovely friendly staff. Relaxing communal areas. Beautiful gardens with relaxing dinning experience. Excellent food reasonably priced. Spacious if a little dated rooms. Only issue was very hot in room. Fan provided and window open but stuffy.

Friendly Staff is the best feature of this hotel. I personally wouldn't rate this hotel as a four star hotel. Best way to describe this hotel is tired and in need of refurb. The carpets are stained and the curtains are tatty. Bed old and rickety and in need of maintenance. No cold water bathroom basin taps, both run boiling hot. As mentioned already the staff are helpful and friendly.
