Lovely host with a very inquiring mind. Room was spotless and very well thought out. We were visiting my daughter and grandchild and this was an excellent base and very good value

Nice room and well maintained , Breakfast suited me but my partner prefers cooked , but still great value for the cost , the Bed was have me a lovely nights rest , will stay there again if we are in the area .

I stayed in the Deluxe double room with garden view + private bathroom. Very tasteful decor, without being overwhelming, both in bedroom& in downstairs guest lounge- breakfast room.Useful ledge by bed with sockets below so charging up phones etc easy. Desk+ chair,also large tv and small radio. Cupboards for clothes with plenty of hangers either side of bed.Windows have wooden blinds and curtains- so various options to control incoming daylight which could be an important consideration if guest was jet lagged. Small lobby just outside bedroom door with coat hooks on wall + plenty of space for outdoor shoes, boots, surplus luggage.Lobby door is lockable. 2nd door leading off lobby leads to a spacious and bright bathroom with large shower head over big bath. For anyone with minor balance difficulties when getting into bath there is an adjacent very robust towel rail - very useful to hold onto if needed. Rubber mat in bath. Room fridge with bottles of water+milk for making tea and coffee. Fridge is completely quiet (unlike some places I have stayed where the fridge noise disturbs the guest). Outlook onto garden very pleasant & as per photos. Area tranquil just birdsong and then around 7.00a.m. the very,very distant hum of morning traffic elsewhere. Breakfast - good choice of fruit,yoghurts,cereal,pastries,toast etc. Exquisite china and crockery. Downwards tarmacked slope to front door. Host is very pleasant + welcoming. A high standard in decor, provisions & functionality.

A very pleasant stay. Comfortable room, a warm and informative welcome. Lovely to make ourselves at home, have breakfast at leisure or early. Lounge and garden space all spotless, peaceful and an added bonus in the home from home experience which was just what we needed
