Good- location close to casino, a few restaurants and a Food Lion. Bed was comfortable enough and the shower water pressure was good. Bad- the room was damp and musty smelling, but the hotel was at capacity so we could not switch. There was a box of baking soda next to the air conditioner, which was their "fix" for the musty smell I guess. The hotel needed updating as some of the rugs were torn in the hallways and in general it just looked tired. The pool was closed for the season, although it was 88 degrees and the middle of summer. In addition, the soda machine in the lobby area was out of order. Seems like the place is not well taken care of. I would not stay there again.

The property is a great location for the Casino. I checked in their is a sign on the door the elevator is not working. Then I had to walk up 3 flights of stairs to my room.and when i walked in the room the weed smell was so strong I had to go back and ask for another room. I have stayed here before but the service here has declined a lot. The receptionist was very nice though. My suggestions would be to check your rooms before opening it up to your customers.

Our stay at the Microtel was good. Holly was very friendly and helpful. The grands enjoyed the pool but not the lack of WiFi. It was convenient to “into these hills” and the village. Very clean. Breakfast was a little sparse.

We chose to stay here given the limited options on New Years Eve and the close proximity to the casino. The hotel was very dated and looks as if it has not been updated since the early 90’s. That is not a major issue but for the $200 or so we spent for one night, we expected it to be a bit better. The elevator door got stuck mid way but then seemed to be functioning okay later. It was very old and you could feel it jump a bit. Our kids preferred to use the stairs vs the risk of getting stuck. On the morning of departure, we woke up to find a dead roach on the desk. The water pressure in the shower was almost non existent. When using the hot water, it would actually flip to start filling the tub because there was not enough pressure to keep the shower on. One positive note is that the internet was pretty decent which is sometimes a challenge in the mountains. Overall, we will not be staying here again.

The hotel was off the parking lot of a grocery store, strip mall however parking for the hotel was limited. The craziest thing is how strick the staff is on issuing more towels. They only wanted 1 per person but they were small thin towels and when washing my hair I need a second towel. They made you sign out a pool towel and had to promptly return it to the desk when done.

There was no housekeeping. My family of 4 was given 2 towels. If we qanted more, we had to carry souled ones down to 1st floor and exchange them. We chose the property so kids could swim,- and pool is not even in service. Water is green.

Why have a vending machine if it doesn't work? When I arrived they informed me they moved me to a different type of room. I was fine with it as long as the new room had the same amenities I needed and paid extra for. (I reserved a suite because I needed a microwave and refridgerator.) I was told the new room did not have those items and I could come to the lobby for a microwave.

It is advertised as no pets allowed, but there was a cat roaming the lobby. The floor microwave was filthy, as well as the welcome mats in the lobby. The extra lock on my room door was broken. The television reception was horrible and the sound was so low you couldn't hear it. Poor choices for breakfast. There was a disturbance in the parking lot that required 6 police officers. The check in worker was never at the counter. They were always outside smoking. We checked out a day early and they charged us $155 plus fees/taxes. What a waste.

I didn't like anything about the property they had remodeled the bathroom and the shower curtain rod had fallen down they patched that on both sides it just felt dirty damp and I know the floors were dirty because it was carpet and I had to wipe my feet off every night before getting into bed. My feet got dirty just by walking on the carpet it was that bad. Wi-Fi kept going in and out it was never strong enough to do anything and the TV was even blurry. We left a day early it wasn't worth it I will never go back I would never recommend this place. The carpet was chewed up too like they had an animal in there before but it was a no pet room it was just disgusting the hotel looked rundown.

This place is a hidden gem! The hotel is clean and well-maintained. Breakfast is good, and the options are individually wrapped, which we loved during the flu season. The staff is charming and helpful. The Food Lion grocery store is right next to the hotel, which was very convenient for us. There is complimentary tea and coffee available 24 hours in the lobby, on top of what you have in the room. Definitely will be back.

I would stay here again. It was overpriced for what we got. The shower head sprayed everywhere but on you (no adjustments). The bathtub was very clean but the jets didn’t look clean so I didn’t use. The water drained out of the tub the whole time, but the water was hot and amazing!!! The carpet was ripped up so we put towels down to make sure we didn’t step on any nails. Two night stay was $400. The room was clean and smelt clean. The sheets were clean and the bed was very comfortable!

They have basically a click bait photo, I booked a queen studio suite, from the picture it shows there is a jetted tub in the room, when I checked in I was informed my room did not have a jetted tub I showed the receptionist the picture of the room I booked and she apologized and said there was nothing she can do they didn’t have any trouble their rooms she isn’t sure why that picture was on the re but the room I booked did not have a jetted tub, falsely advertising their rooms be aware

Our stay was very good, staff was very friendly and beds was comfy. My only complain is that the air unit was loud but other than that the stay was good. Restaurants and supermarket right next to hotel. Walking distance!!! Casino jist a mole away……

When we arrived to check in, there was no one at the desk. Ringing the bell did no good. After about ten minutes one of the housekeeping staff told us they were very short-handed and to come back later. We came back about two hours later and checked in along with three others who were waiting. The clerk was very efficient and pleasant, but obviously stressed by the lack of help.

Did not have any washcloths , did not have but two bath towels and there was 3 people. The attendant in the hallway looked at me like I was asking for the moon- I was ignored. Next morning I had to bring down a used one to get a clean one. The front desk people were per nice but I would not rec inn and this place.

The staff could not have been more friendly and were extremely helpful. It was a very positive experience. The hotel is just minutes from the casino and is located with walking distance to numerous restaurants and a grocery store. We’ll definitely stay there in our next trip to Cherokee!

Overall, very nice for the money. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly at the front desk. The common areas and the hallways were very hot, and the temperature outside was only in the 70- low 80’s. The complimentary breakfast was bagels, muffins and drinks. Would stay again.

The free breakfast was terrible! The breakfast was not really breakfast. It was stale muffins, yogurt, apples, water & coffee. When you say free breakfast it should be just that! We had to go to the Waffle House!
