Easy check in, asked and reserved a non-smoking room, but could tell the room had been smoked in. Not real bad, just faint enough to know. Breakfast, grab and go Continental style. Noisy, but hotel is highway side. Traffic noise. Overall decent for what we needed and would try it again.

Parking lot at the property was undergoing a resurfacing, which left folks scrambling for parking in a congested area. This made late-night parking difficult as folks were concerned where they could park safely.

I was very pleased. Daman was friendly and helpful at front desk. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Location (Civic Center for Conference) was ideal. Room was clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay there again when in Roanoke.

Great place for my dog and I to stay overnight during our road-trip home. Place was super clean and bed was comfy. The place is dog friendly with a $20 pet fee.

We selected this hotel since we were looking for an affordable hotel to sleep in and relax for one night between two 13-hour drive days. We also chose it since it had positive reviews for an affordable hotel, which turned out to be accurate. The check-in was extremely pleasant since this hotel is managed by a lovely and very friendly couple of East Indian heritage. The room was very clean and comfortable but is in need of some upgrading. This hotel is also located next to a very busy thoroughfare which can be noisy. However, as stated previously, if you are simply looking at getting an affordable hotel for one night while passing through Roanoke, then it is recommended. The breakfast which is included in the price is adequate. Conversation at breakfast though was priceless as we engaged in very interesting conversations with the lovely managing couple and other patrons.

Breakfast was off brand honey buns and old cereal😭 beds were kinda gross too but it is what it is my little ones. I love you

Parking was good.

My own mistake was not checking if this hotel had an elevator, but nice lady who had came into office to get a working remote helped me carry my bag up the stairs as I have many health issues that making stairs hard just getting myself up let alone carrying a bag up too. First room had a person staying next door that was smoking outside the rooms which the Air Conditioning was pulling into my room, so I called the front desk and lovely young man was able to move me to another room. Overall okay place to stay with helpful staff .

Breakfast was decent. But it was next to a noisy street. Everything else was ok.

The amenities in the room would have been better than average, if they had worked correctly. The refrigerator was larger than average and included a freezer. The microwave worked, but the timer was broken. The air conditioner was very noisy. It was beyond control of the property that it was on a busy road and noisy roadworks were underway at night. It is pet friendly and we were able to bring our beagle on the trip.

Enjoy my stay each time Im in Roanoke. Basic hotel but clean and well worth the rates. Great location.

Check in was fine. The clerk was nice, but thats all that was good about this hotel. The entire facility was rundown and in need of some serious renovations. The room smelled terrible, even after the clerk grabbed his can of air freshener and went and sprayed the room while I was checking in. There was black mold all throughout the room and bathroom. There were used syringes scattered all over the parking lot. Stayed here because it was cheap and I was on a budget, but my recommendation is to spend just a bit more for somewhere thats at least halfway decent.

The room was quitet, clean and comfortable. I ws able tonrest and record 2 songs there.

A horrible experience was bugs in bed

Room was not very clean. Little trash on floors. Stains on walls and doors. Also, I had my cat and was told by front desk staff that I would have to change rooms after 4 or 5 days because of the cleanliness. Mind you, the room was cleaner once I cleaned and sanitized it even with the cat. I was staying for a work assignment. It seems that there are many people who actually live on the property.

The check in was a smooth process. The staff is very friendly. The room is exceptionally clean and quiet.

Bedroom was tidy and clean, bathroom was very moldy

People were very nice. Room was extremely clean and bathroom as well. I got least expensive room which had 2 comfortable beds, decent TV/wifi. Good climate control. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. It had a mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave in the room as well. I didn't spend much time in the room but I couldn't be more pleased with how it functioned for me. I can't find a better deal for the price.

Everything was fine. However, the cigarette smell in room #57 was so bad. The smell was bothering me all day.

I was disappointed with this hotel. It looked to be in disrepair. I was not sure just how clean it was. The TV did not work either.

Just a little bit seedy, but once inside the rooms they were clean and adequately comfortable. No USB chargers, though!

Two out of the three drawers of the dresser handles were missing. The traffic noise was overwhelming and something, possibly a water pipe issue, would make a ghost like screech every five minutes for hours on end. Made it very difficult to sleep. The room and bathroom, in general, were very clean and we always got new towels every day.

It appeared the sheets and wash clothes had not been changed. Their was an ashtray on the table and ashes on the pillowcase. When i went to the front desk to simply ask for a change of sheets and new bathroom towels, i was told that if i didnt like it there i could, "find somewhere else to stay".

What I didn’t like is that I put a reservation With expedia.com for a room, but I chose the wrong room a non-smoking instead of a smoking and when I got to the hotel, there was a young man who charged me 65 dollars to switch to a smoking room So you might want to be careful going to the Econo Lodge because I think I’m a start going up the street to the comfort cause I thought $65 was a little exorbitant just to switch to an ashtray

I got in very late and the owners helped me. They were lovely and accommodating and the room was very clean.

Staff was very friendly and helpful during check-in and gave recommendations on where to find a place for dinner! Very accommodating with our room requests. Rooms were clean and comfortable great value for our overnight stay in Roanoke.

The property owner insisted on seeing papers for a service animal. I informed them that it is illegal to request that, as the paperwork contains personal and medical information. Legally they cannot ask for this. They demanded it anyway, threatening to charge me $20/per night for my service animal if I didn't share sensitive and private information with them. This is highly illegal and offensive.

As a solo woman traveler, I was too afraid to even walk up the stairs to my room. There were two homeless people walking out of the parking lot as I pulled in. There was a loud drunk man on the balcony yelling down to me about my rear end as soon as I got out of my car. Then either someone under the influence of drugs or schizophrenia came from around the corner and started shouting at me about my dog. I went to the front office and told the manager and he kept telling me everything was fine and I was safe. I told him I didn't feel comfortable walking up the stairs by myself to my room and he was the only person on duty so it was not able to offer any assistance with escorting. Kept telling me I was fine and just go to my room... I let him know that I was uncomfortable staying there and would rather just continue driving on my journey. He told me because I booked through Expedia that I was unable to receive a refund through them and I would have to contact expedia. I reached out to Expedia who called the hotel and spoke to that man at the front desk. That man told them that I lied and that no such incident happened! Expedia will also not refund me. So I will also be reaching out to the choice hotels headquarters. Do not stay here. It's not a nice place. It's full of drunks, drug addicts and homeless people.

The room was fine, but there was night construction on the street in front. I checked in at night alone and the guests were loud and attempting to talk to me. The noise could be heard all night within the room. I was warned by a rideshare driver that this was a sketchy part of town and to be careful of people in this area. You definitely get what you pay for.

I was pleasantly surprised that all the units have been totally renovated with new fixtures amenities. highly recommend. Host were very nice and engaging. Nice quick breakfast. Would definitely stay again when in area

The room was comfortable and clean with a comfortable king size bed. Housekeeping was there every day to clean our room and leave fresh towels. the continental breakfast was also good. Overall our stay was excellent and the staff very friendly. would recommend this motel and when in the area i would stay there again .

The staff were very nice, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the internet worked well, the fridge in the room was bigger then expected and had a freezer, the rooms looked to have been remodeled recently, the breakfast was a typical continental breakfast.
