Travelodge by Wyndham Roanoke

I don’t normally leave reviews, good or bad, property was not good. Very old and not kept up. We didn’t stay, left after seeing a couple of rooms. We had just stayed in a Wyndham property elsewhere, but after change of plans we needed another night. Graduation made it unaffordable elsewhere. Prices here were much higher than usual here as well, I get it, supply and demand. Thought Wyndham brand meant a decent product, so didn’t spend time reading reviews. My mistake! First room had such a strong smell of cleaning fluid we couldn’t breathe. Second was just no. Hole in the wall, The man at the desk was patient, explained that the rooms are old and it’s costly to pay for housekeeping and repairs. But

First of all, this was an inexpensive room, so I didn't expect the world. But the floor was dirty such that it left debris on your feet. The bathroom had no lock and could not even engage to remain shut. The ceiling fan was pulled out leaving a hole and part of a disconnected mechanism. The faucet had almost no pressure. It was a non-smoking room but had leftover smoke odor. The towels and linens were clean but threadbare. About all I can say is the bathroom fixtures and counter were clean. The property needs maintenance that it is not getting. Wall repairs were rough, unfinished. Room need a deep clean to get visible dirt build-up out of corners.

The place is horrible. I would expect more from Wyndham. Shane on you for putting your name on this property

People just hanging in the parking lot made it to sketchy I didn’t feel safe leaving my motorcycle and when I told the guy at the desk he said I could park inside the room which made me feel even more unsafe so I asked for a refund. Was told I couldn’t get one so in the end I paid for a room that I never stepped foot in

The place was gross. Dirty floors and black mold in the bathroom. Literally couldnt sleep because my husband and I were coughing nonstop. Left at 3am, not returning.
