During my stay there pool heater was broken and for the first few days staff stated it was a temporary issue that was going to be resolved the following day. On the third day after speaking with a different employees one of them finally stated that they do not know when it will be fixed because no one has looked at it yet. The hotel rooms are in need of an update. They were dark, dingy and not reflected by the photos. They also needed to be better cleaned. When asked for housekeeping front desk staff said they come by everyother day but on the third day of my stay I had to call and remind staff to come by to clean and empty the garbage. Also when I requested additional towels I was told there as no one to bring them so if I want them I need to pick them up myself. Overall hotel location is convenient but, I was disappointed with the conditions of the hotel and overall service.

We checked in at 2:30 AM as it is the halfway point of our trip. Staff was great already had paid online so no problem. However when we got to our first room there was live cockroaches on the furniture dead ones on the floor. My 3 year old had a plate with some food on it and within 3 mins there was 2 cockroaches crawling in her plate of food. Went to front desk again very nice and accommodating. There was only one room left a king with pull out couch on the top floor. We went to that room and the entire floor was a huge difference in cleanliness and decor also never seen one roach. However these rooms were like “suites” with jacuzzi tub. I am not sure if booking online they give you a crap room on purpose. However it was 6AM before we got our 2 5 month olds and toddler in a room feed cleaned and in bed. Very dissatisfied with Hilton.

The room was very dated and in horrible condition. AC made noise the entire night, mini fridge making a horrible noise in the middle of the night to the point I had to unplug it, bathtub stained, ironing board burnt. The carpet in the hallway of the 5th floor was filthy and stained.

The property could use a good cleaning all around. The elevators were dirty, the ice machine on my floor didn’t work, the jets in the tub were filthy and the room smelled so strongly of chlorine, mind you, I was on the 3rd floor. The rooms are a little outdated, but get the job done. I specifically wanted a tub with jets, but had to buy cleaning supplies myself before I’d ever sit in it.

From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive. Always smiling and saying hello as we came and went. The room was clean, stocked and plenty of room. No smells. When checking in, I waited almost 2 minutes before anything was said to me at the counter. The clerk was looking down, looked around and still didn’t say anything. I couldn’t understand why, maybe I was invisible. Finally she(Courtney) said, “how can I help you” I said Heey I would like to check in, how are you? Courtney proceeded to say our systems are down so we can’t check in so you can have a seat. I then asked but couldn’t finish it before she cut me off by rudely saying I’m not sure I just got here so on and etc. So that’s when I asked her name because her badge was not there, just her Hilton shirt with jeans on. Told her to calm down it’s ok, I was just asking to see if there was something else I could do Jeesh. She just looked at me and I went to have a seat, not believing what just took place. As I was sitting I watched how she treated the other guest and all I could do was shake my head. I’ve never been there before nor have I has any previous encounters with Courtney. Not to mention the toilet had urine on the bottom, towel racks rusty and I had to at least spray the bed because I’m sure that was half cleaned as well. I went from being charged $126 to $157 now to $127.94. The checkout was pleasant as the lady that morning was very friendly.

The staff was nice, but for what we paid, we never got our room cleaned in 3 days. We had to go to the desk multiple times and ask for fresh towels, etc. sometimes never getting the things we asked for. The shower was out of bath wash and we asked for that, never got replaced. I usually would not write a bad review, but would not recommend this hotel. The hotel was nice, but service not so much. Breakfast servers were nice. Today as we were checking out, someone was finally knocking on our door to clean the room.

The check-in was a disaster. We had worked all day outside in the extreme Columbia, SC heat helping a relative and really needed a room and shower. We arrived around 4:30pm and had to wait until 7:15pm for our room. The lobby was packed with others waiting for a room. Not good!!
