Upon walking in to the hotel I realized there was no air conditioning in the hotel lobby/breakfast area. It was terribly hot and a few loud fans were running. Hotel appeared to be clean overall. Once in our room, at first glance it was clean. However, once I took my shoes off the floor felt wet, like it had been cleaned and a residue was left behind. My daughter and I each picked a bed, One was so soft you literally sunk down into the mattress, the other one felt better, but after sleeping on it for two nights, I woke up with so much back/shoulder pain it definitely was not a good mattress. The room had 2 bath towels, they were so small you could not wrap it around your body. The shower had brackets for what I knew to be for soap, shampoo and conditioner, however there were no bottles present. When I went to the “Market” to see what they had to purchase, it was completely empty and looks like it is used for storage. The hotel receptionist stated they had no shampoos to give. I asked to borrow a pair of scissors too, and of course they didn’t have any either. The breakfast “buffet” consisted of a waffle maker, bread, butter, syrup, froot loops, corn flakes, plain oatmeal and if you were lucky enough you may get a yogurt before the few they put out were taken. A typical juice machine and coffee were the only available beverages. The hotel advertised a game room - I was never able to locate it. I never went to check out the pool, so I can’t comment on that.

I was upset when I got there it was a hundred deposit cash ONLY. No credit card. What an inconvenience. My plan was to get up and leave for work and not checkout to get my hundred dollars back. I was only staying one night because my job had a workshop in Columbia SC. I stayed here before an it was reasonable and clean. And the deposit was on a card. I told him if i known this I would not have reserved the room. But I walked away and another person with the same issue. He booked her so I waited and he book me with no deposit. My opinion, my credit card has more than one hundred dollars... why ask for cash? The lobby was hot with no ac. The lobby had fans. The room was hot and clean. The ac did work in the room. It was just cut off and hot in the beginning. The couch needed to be thrown away! It was dirty and worn out. No pool. The pool was green. Bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was decent... Dove products. It did it job for one night for me. The workshop was a 5 minute drive...

The facility is extremely outdated. The pictures are not up to date at all. Everything is the gym was broken and had two random dumbbells. No arcade anymore. Pool closed. They didn’t have an actual hot breakfast as advertised anymore either (however they did have a waffle maker).

Love the people working ther , nothing in the gym worked and most of the property is due for some upgrading, but overall the pricing was appropriate and I appreciated that.

Property could use some updates and the elevator don't work, no working ice machine, The hot water didn't work , the balcony is very dirty and no handle to open or close the door that barely works very hard to open and shut , overall a good place to stay and affordable.

I left my room that I paid for because of how bad it was. I requested a new room due to power issues in the bathroom. The replacement room was not clean. All three rooms I had, had plumbing issues with the toilets. This has been the worse experience I’ve ever had with a hotel. Staff were rude and blamed Expedia for the service. Expedia has been awesome. Baymont was rude and lazy.

The room was adequate, but the bedsheets were dirty and there were roaches that were visible (dead in the room and quite alive in the lobby). The bathroom was dated. There were no eggs for breakfast, which included waffles, bread and cereals.

Arrived at the hotel, checked in and went to the room. The room was nasty, hadn’t been cleaned properly, dried up food stains on furniture, dirty linen, bed falling apart, dirty cotton swab behind the mattress, hair in the bathroom and shower, door was falling apart, hallways reeked of smoke or devils lettuce (despite being smoke free hotel), staff was unhelpful and made me wait 15 mins to inspect the room after I reported the issues. Then initially offered to clean the room for me, IT SHOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN CLEAN!!! Only offered me a change in rooms because the toilet was broken and just constantly running, which would have made it difficult to sleep, especially since this was a business trip 😡

This hotel was absolutely disgusting. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. We did not stay. The first sign was the bugs that were crawling on the check-in counter. The hallways were littered with trash and stains. There was animal feces in the hallway. When we got to the room, the furniture was covered in stains and there was BLOOD on the curtains. Please do not book a room at this hotel.

Overall staff was good, the room looked like it was in the process of being renovated, our A/C sounded like it was going to take off and it smelled like someone prior to our stay smoked in the room. I believe they have potential, if and when they finish renovations.

We had issues with the shower, we turned it on and could not adjust it at all. No maintenance on site. It was was running hot water, steamed up the room. We couldn’t take a shower and was inconvenienced by changing a room and was late to our event

I was pretty disappointed with my stay. I have been traveling for 8 days and this was the worst of all the hotels I have stayed in at thus price point. 1. There was no USB port to charge my phone. 2. The king size bed was over used and had a big divit/depression in it I had to sleep on the other side of the bed away from the tv. 3. Cleanliness was not good. The soap dish was dirty and the corners of the bathtub were dirty. 4. When I went down for breakfast, they were out of coffee cups and apple juice. I had to get a cup from one of the maids. They had no cream cheese for the bagels. 5. I had a massive headache and called to see if I could have a late check out and they said no, and that if I did not check out by 11:00am I would be charge a deposit fee. The whole visit just seemed cheap and low class. I do not see myself staying in this chain again.

My gripe with this property is that the walls are far thinner than what one would hope, to the point I can hear my neighbors if they so much as breathed too deeply. Because of this there is no sense of privacy, and that is my number one priority when staying somewhere I’m not familiar.

Bed was comfortable. Our sink didnt work unless water was turned on underneath and then only ran extreme hot water that burned me. The faucet was barely attached also. Toilet ran constantly unless handle was jiggled a lot.

When we arrived they wanted a cash only deposit, then after giving it they refused to give me a receipt. Then when we got to the room it was disgusting. Very falsely advertised on here. DO NOT book this property. Sheets and towels were stained, everything was rusted and it was very run down. There was even a booger on the phone. I am thankful the guy at check in was nice enough to give me a full refund because I could not stay there.

Got a room with a toilet that does work and toilet water all over the place i asked for another room he said no more rooms available but was still checking people in a giving them rooms. The charge a $100 deposit cash which wasn’t said from the beginning when i booked on Expedia. Ended up leaving early and wasn’t able to get a refund cause we wasn’t able to use the toilet.

I paid $550 for a dump. You have to have a cash deposit of $100 and of course itself not stated at booking. I was there for a week and only got fresh towels once. If I wanted more I would have to go to the front office. The couch and chair was completely dirty with visible stands. This is not suitable for people coming in from out of town.

The owner/General Manager is extremely rude and strictly about money. What Normal hotels do to provide adequate customer service, he refuses to do. In example…I shows to switch out my towels because I used one to clean my mouth and hands from food. The others I used as bath towels. He gave me permanently stained towels. I allied him if I could have towels without stains. He replies, if I bring him clean towels, them I get clean towels in return. If I bring him dirty towels, I get clean permanently stained towels I'm return. Enough said. I'm never going back.

I called to let the front desk know that I was a late arrival. I was told that the system was down and that they could not guarantee my two bed room. When I told them that Inhad already paid for two beds I was spoken to very rudely and then hung on. When I got here I was further and blatantly met with rudeness, unprofessionalism, and told that they could just cancel my reservation. I was then told the elevator was broken, and they put my room on the 3rd floor. The hallway had caution tape everywhere and the stairwell smelled heavily of urine with food and dirt everywhere. The room's bathroom had little roaches in the tub and crawling on the bath towels. This was the worst experience I have ever had.

Where to start with this place. They are doing renovations, which is looking pretty good. The area around is pretty slummy and run down. Upon walking in it was hot and humid and not very inviting. The check in process was long and drawn out. They didn’t know how to check people in, and ended up charging my credit cardS three times for the deposit. Which I’m still waiting to see drop off my accountS. I made the reservation which one card and when I got there decided to pay with another, hence the cards. Both cards have charges on them. I have yet to see them come off 24 hours later. The rooms were decent and cleanish. Curtains were tattered and torn, bedding had dirt marks on them. No sign of bugs in the beds. Air conditioning in the rooms work well. My husband doesn’t normally come with us on trips but I was grateful to have him when we went here. It was a sketch area and not somewhere you would feel safe alone. I won’t be going back.

If I had known it was this far from where my activities were a I wood have started closer also, no air conditioning in the lobby area. My room was good, but the lobby area was very, very hot and uncomfortable.

This place has some of the rudest staff and dirtiest rooms I’ve ever stayed in while traveling. The “breakfast” shouldn’t even be called that as there was nothing but old waffle batter available.

During my stay we found mold in the mini refrigerator and around the sink, the covers were covered with blood and other bodily fluids noticeable to the eye. The counters and chairs were really dirty. During our 2 days eating breakfast the waffle machine didn’t cook the batter properly, lack of options for breakfast. Other than those issues the staff was helpful and very friendly.
