We stayed here because many of the hotels were sold out Due to the hurricane. The staff was polite upon checkin. The grounds were not clean and the trash was over flowing. The room was basic but smelled like pet urine. The air conditioner didn’t work. It was a room That slept four but we were only allowed two bath towels. I was told this was standard and the laundry was closed at 6pm. There were three of us on the room and we had to share towels. It was a miserable night with the hot room. It was noisy and smelled like cigarette and pot smoke.

Everything about this property was dirty. The parking lot had trash. The stairwell smelled like urine. The entire area (outside and inside the room) smelled like pot. The rooms had dirty pillowcases. Even the area where I walked my dog was full of trash all the way around the property.

I stayed with my husband, 2 kids and dogs while we were driving across country. We arrived and there was no one in the lobby, apparently the girl left early before the next girl arrived. The girl who arrived to start her shift (on time) was shocked to have a line waiting for her. We discovered dirty drug needs and paraphernalia in our room I was EXTREMELY upset by this as the safety hazard to my kids seemed pretty extreme. We spoke with the front desk girl who apologized profusely and switched our room (it was late and we could not switch hotels) the second room was also dirty and had rotting food in the fridge. There was banging on the walls and noises all hours of the night. The parking lot and dog area were ABSOLUTELY FILTHY there was a mattress and stove just sitting in the grass and TONS of trash. The next morning we spoke with manager who also apologized profusely. But in all reality there is zero excuse for the drug paraphernalia and the trash everywhere. You can tell from the outside they clearly do not take pride in the property.

The room was so filthy. The floors hadn’t been mopped could see the show prints from previous stays, walls dirty, toilet never cleaned, bed sheets dirty. Filthiest hotel I have ever seen. Trash everywhere as if they don’t empty. When telling the clerk she didn’t really seem to care. She only cared about that I paid thru a third party.

The room seemed okay at first glance, until we went in the bathroom. Shower curtain had black stains on it, tub was dirty. We encountered 4-5 roaches throughout our stay. Never staying at a Red Roof Inn again.

The cleanliness of the room was horrible. Me and my family had came down from panama city florida to see a relative graduate from the army so we ended up staying at red roof inn. Worst experience ever if i could give 0 stars i would honestly. I dont know how many times i seen roaches yes roaches!! Crawling up the walls the fridge was disgusting and dirty, the a/c unit only ranned cold air and no hot air. Which we was not aware that we had to use the weird thermostat on the wall to control the heat which we had to wait hours for the room to get warm mind you it was 30 something degrees outside and we had a newborn and toddler with us. The whole room was awful they honestly need to shut the whole hotel down if i was the owner that's not how i would run my business. NEVER AGAIN would i book with you guys.

I got what i paid for that’s for sure. Smelled like cigarette smoke, no toilet paper in our room, shower was FILTHY, toilet ran all night and the room was so hot but wait the air was SO LOUD you couldn’t run it.

This place needs a complete upgrade. Staff was friendly though and AC worked well. Our non smoking room smelled heavily of smoke, the toilet was not level, the paint is peeling.

The property is extreamly old and out dated. paint scratched on all doors, day light around entry door and a 1/2" gap at th bottom. Was to be a smook free room, but still smelled of smoke. In the photo it showed 2 chairs, one at the desk and a chair beside the bed. there were none and when inquired the desk said there were none to be gotton. The toilet may have been new but was not secured to the floor properly. I'll never stay at a Red Roof ever again and I'd recommend you taking them off your listing.

Room needs some basic maintenance and cleaning of "out of the ordinary" spots, but it is fine for a one-night stay with my pet. Comfortable bed; linens, pillows, towels and floor were clean with signs of wear. Local restaurant adjacent to the property has fantastic down-home cooking and there are plenty of chains nearby if you prefer. Staff was welcoming and professional. Would stay again.

I checked in a little late being closer to 11:00 at night but was still greeted with a smile and friendliness. The room was very clean and even the smell that sometimes you get that lingering hint of a mildew was all gone I think they went around and cleaned all the air conditioning units and it freshened up a lot I recommend to anybody looking for a simple affordable place to stay... this would be it. Thanks!

Room was not thoroughly cleaned. No Tv remote, room phone was not connected to make call to front desk. Went to front desk and no one was available nor picked up phone when i called, twice. Had a very unpleasant experience.

The hotel was not the cleanest and I was there for 3 nights. No one came to clean the room the entire time I was there. They have families staying and the children were very loud and running late at night screaming. There were others that partied right outside my door without any consideration for me or their noise level. I was without power for 6 days and needed a place to stay, but will not stay at the Red Roof Inn again.

The hotel clerk Trinity was absolute doll! When I arrived after driving for multiple days she couldn’t locate my reservation due to Hotel.com not providing it . Instead of just turning me away she spent over a hour assisting me with dealing with hotel.com it was truly refreshing The hospitality and understanding provided when telling hotel.com representative that booking it again when it’s already paid for is not acceptable service. When back in the area I will for sure stay in my trip this is the only hotel that kept at 100% not claiming it something other then what it is!

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. At dark the area outside was a little sketchy had some guy walk up and bum cigarettes and one guy was in the dumpster but I didn’t feel unsafe I had my daughter, grandson, sister and 3 nieces with me and never felt unsafe. Overall I would stay again if I needed to. Very convenient to stores and eating places. Also very close to Fort Jackson that was the main reason I was there to watch my son graduate bootcamp… No Bugs so super plus

Check in was ok room was old was not that clean once the ac was turned on cockroaches started coming out all across the room. Look like prostitution is at this hotel and drug dealers too while trying to get a refund girls with basically no clothes kept walking in and out or around the office

This motel has a good location, right off the interstate, and the room was clean and spacious. However, the bed was old and lumpy, and the room was hot! We thought that was because we were in South Carolina. We turned on the AC, but it was very loud and rattled too much for us to sleep. The AC unit also said it provided heat, so we didn\'t think about there being another heat source, until the next day when we checked out and I mentioned that it was hot in our room. The clerk said, "Oh, the heat must have been on in your room," and she and another clerk there laughed. It turned out that there was another heating source. It must have been set at 80 degrees!

The bed was way past it’s prime you could feel the springs. I found someone’s shaving cap on the shower. Someone’s car was broke into right in front of me. The attendant was beyond rude and unprofessional

Hotel was nothing like the picture on their website. Ridiculously small room, of course, roaches. Peel and stick tiles on the floor, that were peeled up, musty, moldy, bed was atrocious. Holes in the walls/doors. The area around the hotel was riddled with drugs and it was sketchy. I would never in a million years go back there.

first room was not clean. food container trash beside microwave. dead beetle on headboard of bed. luggage rack broken and laying on ground with chips and other food particles along the corner of baseboard by luggage rack. medicine bottle trash on floor behind door and bathroom sink had stains that weren’t cleaned after dumping something in sink. changed rooms easily- front desk staff was super helpful and friendly. second room had not been moped so stains on floor to be of some sort of food or drink spill. linens were clean, bathroom was clean. old property so reasonable for the area, however left before bedtime as i didn’t feel safe as my husband had to return home for flooding ( massive storm in the area). so i left as well.

The furnishings are worn out and disgusting. Bathtub severely damaging and unpleasant visually. Missing microwave. No room coffee. No morning breakfast seen at 6.15 next morning . Check in staff not informed enough for first day on job. Strong smell of smoked marijuana in registration area. The juice dispensing machine had “broke” sign on it and staff not aware of morning breakfast. Was not impressed with this stay
