Hotel was clean! Staff was friendly. Breakfast was great! However, air conditioning didn’t work and needed to be reset, ice machines didn’t not work, tv needed to be reprogrammed. Everything was fixed but was a little inconvenient and surprise considering this was a nice hotel

Everything about this hotel was amazing, the rooms were cleaned top to bottom. The beds were so comfortable and cozy I didn't want to get up. This was one of the best hotels I have stayed in. I will definitely use them again. Check in service the lady was amazing and professional and facial expression was inviting. It was very late when we checked in and she still had a smile on her face. The kids loved the pool. I will be back.

I loved the size of the room and the location right next to the mall. The towels had a strong odor of bleach and were dingy. Had to switch towels twice. no more bleach odor but blah odor. Bought towels outside and brought in. Bedding was dingy and had slight odor of bleach. I think they need new washers with extra rinse cycle? Or instruct staff to properly wash linens? Parking lot in the back of hotel needs lighting indoors. Scary for us at night. Excellent location!

The desk assistant Latia was great! Very helpful and kind, she made sure we were happy with the suite. Bryana also checked on us and got us a remote for the living room. Our time at the pool was enjoyable but cold.

When I pulled in, I nearly left. The parking lot looks pretty bad. Scary even and certainly not like a doubletree in that area should. Also the tub would not drain. I’m trying to take a shower, you were up to your ankles in water. We were only there overnight, so we didn’t figure this out until the day we were leaving and reported it at check out.

Overall it was a very nice property room was spacious and pool was great. We arrived in our room to a very strong mildew smell. I would have complained or asked for a different room but we were out at some other locations during a majority of the day so we only really slept. However, each time we came back it was very strong and overwhelming. I am not sure what was wet but seems like not a great room to put people in if there is in fact mildew or mold growing somewhere in there. It was not a result of us as this was the smell on our arriving to the room initially. I would have someone check on it because it is really bad. Room 249 to be exact.

Check in was a nightmare because the hotel double booked me with another guest. Parking is so limited you have to make sure you get back to the property before 10:00 pm to find a spot. To top it off I was devoured by bed bugs and may have potentially brought them home.

Right next to a mall, this place is at a great location, but the facilities are outdated and in desperate need of renovation. The musty, mildewy smell is unforgettable. Fitness center and pool was reasonable and the staff did try their best to provided excellent service despite the inadequacies of the actual rooms.

The front desk staff was very friendly. We have stayed here many times over the years, mainly because of the location. But the hotel needs a facelift. We were in room 662 and there was water damage and mold on the ceiling by the sliding door. The sliding door was extremely difficult to open. There was mold in the bathroom. Along the tub and floor. The bathroom door was dirty and needed painting. We requested room service after our first nights stay. We told the lady at the front desk- even mentioning there was a spot of blood (or something red) on the comforter. Housekeeping never came. We had to go down at 10:30pm to get more towels. For such a nice location, you would think the hotel would be cleaner and renovated.

This hotel was beautiful and I often stay here when I am in town. My only negative feedback is that the king size adjoining suite - room 314 there are dips in the floor. There were no dishes to use in the kitchen. No pots or pans for the stove top. Also the ac unit is in the closet of this and it’s really loud. Overall it very spacious and accommodating. I would stay here again but I think it’s time for a facelift!

Only here for one night. It took us about 20 minutes to get here from Carowinds. Check in staff was wonderful and friendly. 2 bedroom suite is very spacious. Pull out couch seemed comfortable for my son.

Spent $500 for two nights and to be honest I could’ve prob stayed at a nicer hotel for cheaper. The walls are so thin you literally can hear everything. There was someone staying at the hotel celebrating their birthday and we could hear them yelling and screaming and partying until 5 in the morning. Then we could hear someone get up at 6 in the morning I’m assuming to leave but they were literally dropping what sounded like their suitcases on the floor and throwing stuff in it. Needless to say, we didn’t get any sleep. The hotel is older, you can tell but there’s not a terrible smell. It just looks a little run down. The beds are super comfortable and it’s in a great location.

Room was spacious and well decorated, hotel location was convenient, lobby was nice. However upon check in, we were met with a very rude staff member who mocked us, watched TV on his phone instead of tending to customers, and spoke very rudely throughout our interactions. We also saw him behave rudely to other customers and act in an angry and unprofessional manner for multiple days. Definitely surprising considering the restaurant staff, housekeepers, and late night/early morning front desk staff were very kind.

Everyone we dealt with was incredibly polite and welcoming. We had an issue with the ac one night and maintenance came right away to fix it. We ordered room service twice and both times the food was good and fairly quick as well as friendly delivery. Overall would definitely stay here again! The only negative feedback I have is that pulling out of the property onto the main road can be a challenge during busy times but not really something they can control either.

Other than the gentleman that checked us in the other staff members were rude and not helpful. We only had two towels for four people so I called housekeeping many times but no one would pick up so I called front desk 3 times over the course of the day asking for 2 towels. I finally went down to the front desk to plead for two towels as we had to get ready for a graduation. The two individuals at the front desk could not have cared less. They said call housekeeping. I said I did three times. I said could you just get me two towels so we can get ready. The male staffer said no housekeeping is on a different floor. There was two staffers at front desk and no customers around so I could not understand why they couldn’t help me. They made me stand there for almost 1/2 before someone went to grab me two towels. At that point we were then made late for the graduation.

Stayed for overnight to make going to an early business meeting easier. Excellent front desk service, an incredibly comfortable bed with lots of pillows, and a shower with great pressure. Free parking that was easy and convenient was a bonus. I chose to try the on-site restaurant due to time/weather; limited options, but excellent service and tasty meal. Highly recommend, and I know I will return again.

Overall enjoyed my stay and would stay again. Just issues getting towels for pool and room, no one came to change trash. Front desk and housekeeping wouldn’t answer phones when trying to reach them for items we needed.

We came in around 1pm. Our rooms weren’t ready. Which is understandable. The Young man told us to go grab lunch. So we did and some shopping. Came back later on that evening to check in. We were told our King rooms that we had booked months in advance were no longer available and we were given a Queen. Placed on the 4th floor and when we came off the elevator it didn’t smell it STANK SO BAD!!!!! We were given our 1st room and it STANK!!! Went downstairs to tell the Young lady and she acted like oh well. Then she told the middle aged man the issue. He told us they were having a wedding party and they didn’t have anymore rooms. But then the found us another room on the same 4th Floor that STANK!!! this room was actually clean with no stank smell. But found our Cousins a King room. I guess that’s what I get for speaking up. Anyway………….. Coming off the elevator there were dirty dishes sitting outside the rooms from the time we arrived to the time we left. (2 day stay) Still no King size bed the entire time we stayed and that’s what we paid for months in Advance. The hotel where you first come in is Beautiful but that 4th floor needs deep cleaning and repairs. I took pictures as receipts. Please do Better Double Tree

Staff will wake you up by coming in the room at 8am even when you requested late check out. We were on our way out and there were cops everywhere from an incident and it took forever just to be able to leave the parking lot

The DoubleTree at SouthPark Mall in Charlotte is where I most often stay when visiting the area. It feels like a hidden gem right beside the mall. There are many great shopping and restaurant options within walking distance or a short drive.

My stay at the Double Tree SouthPark was amazing. From the moment we arrive, through the check in process, and our departure. Property was well maintained and cleaned. Beds were comfy and rooms very spacious. Service was outstanding in every interaction. I will definitely be coming back on my next trip to Charlotte. Definitely recommend this property, super and amazing location!

Had an awesome time at the DoubleTree! The staff were super friendly, check-in was quick, and the warm cookie at arrival was a nice bonus. My room was clean, comfy, and had everything I needed. Beautiful hotel and excellent location in SouthPark. Close to shopping, restaurants, etc. Checking early wasn’t an option and I showed up 3 hours early. Check in time isn’t until 4:00. I did get to check in around 3:30. So, just keep in mind to not show up too early. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful common areas-courtyard, pool with waterfalls… lots of elevators located around the premises. My one bedroom suite has a full kitchen tucked away-with full size refrigerator. Spacious living room and dining area… large bedroom and nice bathroom. Big screen tvs in LR & BDRM. One complaint was the restaurant was not open except for the buffet for $17 and it wasn’t great. The website stated —as well as the scan on the menu— that we could order other items than the buffet-and that it was open for lunch. They said since Covid, they didn’t have those options… that should definitely be changed on the menu to reflect as such. Otherwise, it was a fantastic experience!
