1 of the two elevators werent working. Overall room was not to what a Hampton Inn should be. More of an average room nit what a king size bed room shoyld be. Breakfast was rather skimpy when it came to choices and sekection.

This was the absolutely worst experience ive had staying at a hotel in Charlotte NC. On March 8th my vehicle along with other patrons vehicles, we were broken into and many items were stolen along with window breakage. The hotel only offered to comp my room for the previous night. My truck recieved alot of vandalism damage, not to include stolen propety from inside. The police came and made reports and after weeks i recieved a phone call from the hotel ensuring me that they were not responsible for any vandalism or theft to my vehicle per hotel policy. I would suggest that no one stays at this hotel unless your going to be your own parking lot Security.

The hotel was under my expectations for the price. It was crowded and one of the two elvators was not working. Had to use stairs. Bath towels were clean but one stained. Breakfast ok but had to wait for coffee. Front desk responsive but desinterested. Missing that smile to customers.

The hotel is fairly priced, breakfast buffet was really good. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and nice and the exterior seemed secure requiring you to scan your key card to get access to the building during the night hours. 9 minutes from PNC Music Pavilion. Will be back.

Place was very dirty. Staff was rude. The room was not only dated but very dirty. Fingerprints in bathroom, on walls, the most uncomfortable and unsanitary place I’ve traveled!! Went to work out in fitness center and there were no towels, water, cleaning wipes, NOTHING. Totally disgusting and when I told the girl at the front (she was busy on her phone texting) she acted like she didn’t care. Very rude. Floors were nasty and sticky. Nobody cleaning coffee stations. A very very bad look for a Hilton property. Do not stay here!! Fire station and police station are near along with a train and all of them went by in the middle of night with sirens. Just a terrible and unpleasant experience.

Would I be returning? Probably not but I do want to mention that the staff was pretty good. The issue with me was the cleanliness especially for the price of the room. Sheets were stained with yellow, a cockroach was dead on the wall when we walked into the room aside from that it was fine. The breakfast was ok but one suggestion I would give is adding some kind of protein. Overall it was an ok stay

I booked this based on location and reviews, however resulted in a terrible case of bed bug bites. These did not come from my belongings. I was a bit hesitant when I arrived in my room with stains on the walls and bed frame, toilet not cleaned properly. Elevator was filthy and AC was either too cold or hot. I’ve usually have no issues with this chain but this one was terrible.

Our room was not very clean. Housekeeping should be more focused on the small details. There was spatter of things on the walls and at the bottom of the bed. Dusty vent in the bathroom and the bottom of the trash cans are nasty. Also, I may should have said something about this I’m not sure if it’s all rooms but in our room, the hot water in the shower had its own setting and you could not lower it and my 1 year old and I had to shower in super hot water.

I had a great stay at this clean and comfortable hotel. The staff were very friendly and had us checked in quickly, which I really appreciated after a long trip from Delaware. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise with plenty of options and I especially loved that they served grits! My only complaint is that the toilet was a bit too low for my liking, but overall it didn’t take away from my stay. I would definitely consider returning.

The A/C unit didn’t have a fan-on setting that kept it running all night. It made a very loud sound whenever it turned on. It also didn’t seem to cool very well. The breakfast wasn’t good, but my kids liked the waffles.

Started off with our digital key not working, we didn't get the room that we picked thru the app. Air conditioner/thermostat did not cool off room and it was so loud clicking on and off every 10 minutes making it hard to sleep on the not very comfortable beds. The ceiling was also peeling off in patches and you could see water ring marks on ceiling. Hotel seemed outdated and in need of repairs. We usually don't have any problems staying at Hampton inns but this one was a let down .

The bed was terrible very uncomfortable, kind of broke down and coming off of the base. People hanging out around the entrance of the hotel smoking cigarettes/looking like riffraff. Unfortunately the hotel is across the street from the police station and the fire department and each night you could hear sirens.

Clean. Good, quiet location. Not up to usual Hampton Inn in some ways. Very strange front desk/check-in experience (no one there for a bit and then flat and unresponsive). Wi-fi worked fine but was slower than most, no free outlets in the room (had to unplug a lamp, the clock and the coffeepot to get charges for laptops and phones), no closet or iron, no "please do not disturb" door hanger (we weren't disturbed), and weirdly, when you sat at the desk, the underside was so rough and unfinished that it left abrasions on our clothes. That's a new one. We travel a lot and stay in many hotels.

My room air condition was extremely noisy which didnt allow me to sleep during my 2 night stay. And pillow are too soft for my preference. I plan to return there for work and would really appreciate to get those things fixed for the next time.

This was the second time I’ve booked this property. The front desk was helpful and friendly with each interaction- checkin, checkout, and each time in between. The king bed was pretty comfortable, and everything was clean and tidy in the room. Largest refrigerator I’ve seen in a hotel room, so there was plenty of room for my beverages. It was easy taking the stairs in lieu of the elevator. The workout room was small but was able to get in a good sweat on the elliptical machine. The breakfast setup was nice and the workers very friendly. The food selection was good, but I stuck to cereal, juice, a banana and a danish. My stay was great and will definitely book again if in town for a UNCC event again.

Everything was great from the breakfast to the sleeping arrangements. The overall hotel itself was nice and was in walking distance of lots of restaurants and it was pretty well kept. For the most part staff was friendly. The only thing that I did not like was when it was time to check in to pay - the front didn’t seem to know how to process payments between 2 cards - was splitting the charges with someone and they ended up charging my card for the full stay which put me in a real bind with other stuff scheduled to come out on the same day the payment posted which wasn’t on the day I checked in but a couple days later. The point in paying at the hotel and split it was so I didn’t run into this issue. Maybe they need more training but other than that everything was fine.

Due to my international travel and a flight duration of about 26 hours, I was unable to check in on the scheduled date. I contacted the hotel to request postponing my check-in by one day, but they refused. Unfortunately, there was no flexibility offered, and I was not given any discount or refund. I was disappointed that there was no flexibility extended in this situation, nor was I offered a partial refund or discount, despite the circumstances being beyond my control. As a guest, I believe reasonable accommodation should have been possible, especially given the length and nature of my travel.

The stay was great! I just wasn’t told about the $50 deposit that you guys take out. So, it costed me some extra money at my bank. As long as I get it back, it’s fine. But, you need to tell your employees to make that clear at Check in. I hope this helps. Everything else was great! Thank you.

I gave lower stars due to the fact this is a questionable area according to my cab driver, though it is the university center. As an older lady this concerned me. But the coffe is good here in the lobby and the sheets are lovely and the room smelled fine.

The property and people are fantastic. Had an issue which forced a room change, and the staff could not have been more kind and accommodating. Great continental breakfast. One thing potential customers should be aware of before booking is that the property is directly across the street from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, a fire station, and a light rail crossing. That can cause a bit of a ruckus in the wee hours of the morning. Otherwise, fantastic.

Room was super clean and quiet. Only a 5 minute or so drive to Charlotte Motor Speedway. Breakfast had different variety every morning. (Waffle flavour changes, eggs are different style and then the protein changes daily) Only problem we had was the hot water in the shower wasnt hot enough. Felt more lukewarm than hot. But that was honestly our only complaint. Loved the spot so much that we rebooked for next year.
