Hampton Inn Charlotte-Uptown

The pool was closed due to maintenance with no advance notice to guest. I booked this hotel so that my kids can enjoy the pool during the day. Unfortunately, I had to find other ways for my kids to enjoy their stay. I was called multiple times about a noise complaint as I watched a movie with my kids. I was told by the manager that he did not hear any noise other than a TV but requested to lower my TV due to the noise complaint. I find this extremely unprofessional. Overall, it was not a pleasant stay. I recommend families with children to book elsewhere.

Overall great experience. The only complaint ia thebhotel shares parking with an adjorning hotel via parking garage which is super tight for larger, bulkier vehicles. They ran out of parking after we returned from a football game however the front desk and security officer got us parked wuickly after being alerted. The room and bathroom were both clean. The bed and pillows were also comfy. Front desk staff were polite, attentive and engaging. We will definitely come back!

Ummm, the hotel is quiet and the front desk and cleaning staff were outstanding. Location - this hotel is near the convention center and nascar museum. It is not located near all of the charlotte restaurants. But, they are about a 10 minute walk away. There is a Starbucks nearby as well. There is more regarding the property. They were working on the pool and there was a strong chemical smell for most of our entire stay. Epoxy, maybe? We were on the 10th floor & could smell it. This hotel also offers breakfast. Items were constantly running out and refills arrived slowly. The hotel was busy, that made the free breakfast challenging. Lastly, this was weird - we spoke with a few of the other guests. Some, like us swore we booked the Hilton, not the hampton Inn. I can’t prove it, but for reasons that happened at another hampton during a different stay, I try to avoid them.

Our room was clean and comfortable. We loved the blackout shade. The only thing wrong was the indoor pool was very over chlorinated and would not get in due to the top of the water having a film over it.

Parking alone might drive you crazy. This is two hotels that share a Parking deck. The problem is that the signage should be better as to which door leads where. This made checking in stressful and exhausting!

Staff were great. Breakfast was great. Room was on the second floor and street noise and AC unit were relatively loud. Pool was a little disappointing with a film across the surface that we were told was a safe disinfectant, but was a little gross looking.

Book it this room to use pool when I got there find out that the pool was not open I wish it said this at the web page when renting the room Shower was slow draining sink was slow draining also almost clogged

Hotel was great. Parking at 35 a night a bit ridiculous

The rooms were clean. The 25.00 parking fee should be included with your stay.

The pool was closed and smelled like spray paint really bad.

Cleanliness was an issue with this property- had to immediately have the bed turned over, floor was an issue. Nice location and breakfast met expectations

Checking in was smooth and easy. Once we arrived to our room we saw a dying roach (not a water bug) on the floor next to the bed. I went down to check-in and let the gentleman know what I found and he told me that they were fully booked and could not give me another room so he said he would not charge me for parking during my stay. I agreed and went back to the room but when we were removing the sheets and the comforter from the bed we found a dead bug between the sheets and comforter. I went back down to check-in and told the gentleman about the bug we found in between the sheets and comforter and how we were not comfortable staying in that room. He was able to find us another room but that room was very dirty. The sheets and comforter had stains, the pillow cases were dirty, the countertop sink in the bathroom was dirty, and the carpet was stained and dirty. We had to run to target to get sheets, pillow cases, a comforter, towels (we did not trust that the towels were clean), Lysol, raid and Clorox wipes. I would not recommend staying here it was awful. The location is great but the hotel was not worth the price. I had to pay for my hotel stay AND cleaning supplies plus sheets etc. to feel comfortable. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere if you’re planning a trip to charlotte.

Maid did not clean my room before checking in. Went to the bathroom and noticed it hadn’t been flushed. It was full and stopped up. Called front desk they brought me a plunger for me to take care of a problem that was left there before I checked in. Not happy. Normally Hampton inn is pretty reliable but this one is below average.

Carpet was wet due A/C unit

Property is not bad, but, my room was roach infested. Room 214. Nice size room, plenty of space. ROACHES EVERYWHERE!!! Not returning unfortunately. This was my second stay too. No issues the first time 2 years ago, but now ROACHES!! 👎👎

I've always stayed at Hampton Inns in the past but this time was a bit disappointing. There was no one at the reception desk when we arrived and when I called out for someone, he seemed bothered. He was not friendly as I would expect someone at the front desk to be, but he was efficient and the check in process was quick. We were only there for 2 nights, but we left the room at 9:30am and returned late afternoon and our room wasn't cleaned and the beds were not made.

The room was spacious and very clean. The staff were very attentive, and it was a really nice location

Walls are paper thin. We were woken up several times by neighboring guests. Blood on sheets. Found a pill and hair pins on floor. Got woken up at 725 and 755am by a wake up call we never requested. Went downstairs to request this be taken off for our second morning and were assured it was fixed. Nope. Got woken up twice on morning two as well. One star for the bathroom storage and counter space. It made getting ready super easy.

The bathroom door would not close, the toilet kept running. The bathroom could have been updated. Nothing but a tiny trash can for trash. A pretzel was left in the refrigerator from the previous person. The breakfast was horrible! Even the juice

It was an okay property. I didn't like the fact that the door to the room had a slight gap and you could see slightly into the hallway. Also i don't remember being aware of 35.00 parking fee. I could have forgotten, just not sure.

The walls are to thin you can hear noise from the other rooms that are connected other than that the overall stay was good

Great hotel close to the convention center! It’s about a 5 minute walk. I felt very safe walking to and from the convention center as a single woman. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the employees were so nice! I didn’t eat the breakfast, but I was happy they provided yogurt, bananas and apples to go. The ac unit was a little loud (not an issue for me, I like white noise), but if that bothers you, be aware. Nice beds and towels, which was appreciated.

This property is convenient for much of Charlottes entertainment scene, however the rooms are unpleasantly noisy from thin windows, allowing all of the night hustle to become a part of your stay, making it difficult to enjoy a nights sleep.

Room was simple and nothing special. The room would get humid and muggy. Thank goodness they had a window and that fresh air made it simple to cool down. Pillows are too soft. Need more blankets in the room. Staff are top notch. Always helpful and super friendly.

My room was near the elevators, and it was clear these were older models, as they rattled and banged all day and night. It was annoying. Overall, no major issues, so if I stayed here again it would be far from the elevators.

Me and my girlfriend stayed for just one night. First off, check in took about 45 min in line because “their system was slow” which I’m guessing maybe caused the Wi-Fi to be horrible as well. The shower was luke warm at best and the “complimentary shampoo and body wash” was empty. I’m not usually one to complain about stuff and can overlook these things. The real problem is that our room got ROBBED the one night we went out. We were only gone about three hours and my gf left her wallet in the room because we were going ice skating among other activities and she didn’t want to lose it so we know we left it. We came back and went straight to bed. Woke up, got ready to go to the Panthers game. Got to the car and she couldn’t find her wallet (That had our 2,000 dollar paper tickets in it). We asked the front desk if we could check the room. They gave us the key and no wallet to be found and room service hadn’t been there yet so it was taken the night before. (Somebody bought groceries with her credit card the night before we found out). When I called the front desk and asked to speak to a manager they just sent me to the guy who checked us in (Roderick). He tried to assure us nobody has been in there and mentioned they have NO CAMERAS! How is that even possible! He said he will do some research and get back to us. Basically rushed me off the phone. Here we are a week later and have heard nothing back from anyone! THEY DONT CARE! We are very dissatisfied and will never be back!!!!

Room wasnt ready at check-in. Came back two hours later and we didnt have a room. The room given to us already had someone in it! Imagine our surprise when I opened the door! And we werent the only ones. They gave us a different room, which was ready for us, and the rest of the stay was nice.

The staff was very helpful, especially Sarah Jane, who welcomed us in a warm professional manner. The bed and bed linens as well as the pillows were very comfortable.

The entire experience was great. Rayvon, the front desk concierge, was absolutely phenomenal.

I'm very dissappointed in our stay. The check in line was crazy. Their were 6 other families in front of us and one person working the front. Then when we got into our room, I noticed we could hear everything our neighbors were saying. They left and came back around 8pm, and proceeded to blast music for over an hour. It was so loud it was like they were in our room. I called the front desk...but nothing was done. I called the front desk again and was told they would handle it. About 20 minutes later the music stopped but they were still so loud, I couldn't fall asleep. Finally they left for the night but we were woken up bright and early by the neighbors having a deep conversation about where they wanted to go for breakfast. We couldn't wait to leave the hotel and tried to stay out of our room as much as possible since the management was doing nothing to help us. My husband and I don't get to have a weekend by ourselves often and we just wanted to get caught up on some sleep and relax. Instead we came home exhausted and annoyed that we spent $600 on this terrible hotel. We will never stay there again and I don't recommended this place to ANYONE.

Everything was awesome except for Garry at the check in desk. He acted like he had a chip on his shoulder at all times. To give you an example I told him that I had lost my door key. He got me another key, but he looked real stern at me and told me never to lose lose that key again. He was very hard to talk to, and I did not want to talk to him about anything that I needed. I didn’t feel comfortable to do that cause I didn’t like his attitude. The other Desk clerks were awesome.

Staff that checked us in Adrian was just very accommodating easy and a smile on his face… It’s all you can ask sometimes and you can’t beat the price!

We are in town to visit the nascar hall of fame. This place is perfect to stay at if you’re gonna visit there. It’s like a 6 minute walk. I love it!!

The hotel is great, location is unbeatable and very clean and well maintained, the beds are a little soft for my taste. The only con is that the parking is not included but $25 for a downtown parking is not a bad deal.

Located in downtown Charlotte within walking distance of many restaurants and sporting events. Not far from the airport. Nice view of downtown Charlotte.

What i most liked was the clean environment and very accessible to Spectrum Center which was the reason we visited Charlotte

We had our Mary Kay Seminar at the conventional center. It was right up the street less than a block. Good area for food and entertainment

Close to activities in Uptown Charlotte. Staff very friendly; room clean and comfortable. Buffet breakfast included with the cost of the room was very good.

Breakfast was understaffed and everything was constantly running out. Even grab and go items, condiments, juices were out. Staff was pleasant except the breakfast attendant who was overwhelmed and very miserable about it.

The staff is absolutely amazing. So friendly and helpful. Probably the best customer service at a hotel that I have seen in a long time. Hotel was clean and nicely renovated. Breakfast was ok - typical free hotel breakfast. Super convenient to the NASCAR Hall of Fame and restaurants. Would definitely recommend to people!!!
