This was a fine experience other than the Hotel Van situation. Room was great and beds excellent. Unfortunately, van took 45 minutes to pick us up despite being advertised as coming around every 30 minutes. Driver clearly didn't leave when front desk said she left after I called. Blamed traffic but other hotel vans were coming by twice before DoubleTree van arrived. When van arrived, two folks couldn't lift into van and had to be left behind. Hotel is recommended highly if driving, but if flying into Charlotte, I suggest another hotel.

Restaurant could do with an upgrade with very limited choices in the evening; the food we had was good just limited choices. Overall we 100% would stay again if we had a flight out of CLT.

This hotel is well past its prime and needs a major renovation or should lose its flag. The rooms and hotel smelled like mildew. The furniture fixtures and equipment are very worn. I would stay at one of the newer hotels nearby. The pictures must be 20 years old.

Checked in to the room that was not cleaned- wet towels on the floor bathroom not cleaned. Second room smelled like smoke despite asking for non smoking. Overall it was an okay stay, bed was comfortable, staff was accommodating and the shuttle service to the airport was convenient.

We stayed here and used hotel parking lot to keep our car while we traveled for a week, that part was good...$60 for 7 nites, with shuttle to airport! There is a mold smell in certain parts of hotel, especially at back of hotel on all floors. Our first nite, we requested a room change as mold smell was significant & 2nd room was better. On our return to hotel for 1 nite, the first room was not cleaned by housekeeping, 2nd room smelled like mold, and final room was acceptable but we turned off heat/AC in room as there was a very slight mold smell when we ran the fan. This hotel has a severe mold smell problem and I worry about breathing the air here.

Stay & was very friendly, room was spacious & clean. Very close to airport & 3 eateries were across the parking lot. The only downside was the moldy & mildew smell that was in the hallway, room and all floors. My allergies were terrible the entire 2 days I was there.

Stay was very easy & didn't have any major issues! Location is great & there is a restaurant on site. I was unable to get normal basic channels like NBC or CBS, which I thought was strange. Housekeeping also didn't stop at my room the first two days of my trip, had to request extra towels. Overall a great place though!

The staff at the property were very kind and attentive. Our room seemed very outdated, small bathroom and the towels were very old, thin and torn up. I have stayed in other double trees and sadly the quality of this one was not up to par with the others.

First thoughts: i was laying over for 7 hours for my flight the next morning. property looked ok from the outside and the lobby and dining area was clean. However, the front desk assistant i got was an old man who looked around 61 with a foaming mouth and chipped/dry fingers and skin. he was limping and struggling to answer my questions. he looked tired ad overworked and didnt smile once. doubletree needs to be vigilant about who they hire to greet guests. when i got to the room the bed and bath was clean, but there was a broken light switch so i couldnt put on the light in the bathroom. also, a noisy heater is placed by the bed which automatically comes on every ten of fifteen minutes then shuts off. i didn't like that as it was disturbing my sleep. shuttle service to get to the airport was excellent though. however i wouldn't stay here again tbh. ill try something more expensive next time. u get what u pay for.

The front desk clerk was horrible. He didn’t know what he was doing at all. We called for the airport shuttle , three were eight other people who were from an AA crew also waiting. The shuttle never showed up. The clerk paid the AA’s crew taxi but not ours. We waited almost an hour to be given a key to our room as the clerk obviously didn’t know the system and was frustrated, he even was holding his head in frustration! Will never stay there again.

The staff at this hotel were very rude to my husband and myself. They did not greet or even acknowledge us when we came in and they also claim to not have our reservation that we prepaid through Orbitz. We had to wait 30 minutes for them to call Orbitz customer service to get proof that we had paid for the reservation, even though I showed the hotel manager at the front desk my receipt…in the end, we decided to not stay at this property and book a room for the night at another hotel through Hilton Honors, which was in another part of the Charlotte Mecklenburg area. We are very dissatisfied with the service that we received it was very, very rude and terrible service. We haven’t experienced anything like this before dealing with any hotel staff where we’ve stayed and we travel quite a bit. Would not recommend anyone at the Charlotte Doubletree Hilton on Yorkmount Road.

The FD lady was unapologetically RUDE! She did not greet us warmly or with hospitality. Was on a personal cell call w/ grandkids while getting us keys. Curtly answered questions, had an attitude, and when we called down regarding the several issues with the THIRD room assignment. She didn’t write our 5am shuttle appt. So the a.m driver had an attitude like she didn’t wanna take us. Drove like a manic before the sun was up crossing over double lanes on highway. First room was on the first floor; it smelled like fresh mildew. We didn’t even make it to the room. Second room- toilet got backed up and almost overflowed and had no hot water. Had to move out room half naked. Third room no hot water 3hrs and 3rd ima later.

It's a beautiful hotel. The rate was very good for such a quality hoteI. I only stayed for two nights, but it was very comfortable, and the cookies were delicious. It would be nice if breakfast was included. Breakfast was $18 a person for what looked like a basic complimentary buffet.
