location was good. shuttles to the airport and back very helpful. What i didn't like - hot tub shut down, very, very noisy at 12:00-01:00am when others came to their room fighting in the hallway; asked for a phone number to call for the shuttle at the desk and they gave us a business card for the catering service mgr - calling that number didn't work, so had to google a number to get a shuttle.

The shuttle drivers were very good and the desk staff was also great. The room was nice and comfortable although the room safe did not work and the smoke detector was beeping due to low battery. I'm not sure why the smoke detectors aren't hard wired so that made me feel a bit uneasy. The common areas of the hotel were a bit rundown and not as clean as the room. One elevator was broken and the other got stuck between floors at one point. The restaurant was not the best. The first time we went it took forever to get our appetizer and the second time it took forever to get service even though they were not that busy. The food was not worth the wait. There is no actual business center and the instructions posted for printing were not correct which led to a lot of frustration and ultimate failure trying to get boarding passes. I have always had good experiences at Doubletree Hotels and was hoping for a relaxing more upscale stay but I actually had a better experience at the La Quinta down the street.

Quiet and Clean. i was waiting outside for a Lyft at 4:30am and there was a youngam on the lobby, then in front of the hotel asking for someone to pay for a Luft for him to get home. He even went aa far as following aam to his car asking fir a ride. This made me very unconformable and nobody told him to leave the property

The check in was very easy and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We love the cookies at check in. The pillows and bed were very comfortable.It was very convenient to the airport.I also enjoyed the pool.The restaurant was very good and I really enjoyed happy hour. one thing they do need is a computer downstairs that guest can use.

Overall enjoyed your stay, they are in the process of remodeling. I was actually in a just remodeled room, which was very very nice. Little aggravating dealing with the elevator repairs doing all five days I was there other than that. Very happy with the stay in the price Would stay here again

My room had a massive mold problem. I was not able to breath in the room well enough to sleep and kept going outside for fresh air. Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked and they couldn’t switch rooms. The guy at the front desk promised me a refund when his manager came in. But after several tries through Expedia reaching out, they refused. Do not stay here if you value your health. I have photos of the mold. It was growing all over the a/c unit. It was disgusting and unbearable.

I love staying at this DoubleTree whenever I visit Norfolk, VA. This time, I am disappointed and appalled. Usually, I strip the beds out of courtesy because I was a housekeeper years ago. Upon removing the sheets from the bed my grandson slept in, there was blood on the mattress pad. On my bed, there was a light red stain as well as a blood stain on one of my pillowcases, and stains on both blankets. This was unacceptable. Appalled Guest - Hagerstown, MD

Property was not well kept at all. chipped paint, dirty floors , holes in the walls, and dated decor. Terrible house keeping- she/he did not come to my room at all my entire stay (which was 4 days). I had to go to front desk every day and night for towels, toiletries, etc. Nonetheless the cookies were amazing as usual.🍪

I had a terrible experience at Double 3 Hotel, room 117 (first floor). The room was full of mold on the walls, curtains, and ceiling, which was leaking water all night. The smell of mold was so strong that both my friend and I got sore throats and runny noses, and our voices changed from breathing it in. We couldn’t sleep the whole night. We reported it to the front desk, but they did nothing. They said management would contact us, but no one has reached out and they kept our deposit, and no refund yet. This completely ruined our holiday and affected our health. We are requesting a full refund. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. We have been to Double Three before, but this one was horrible.

Ok stay at Doubletree. Room was very spacious and bed was comfortable. Shower was not. Very small. Worst water pressure I've had in awhile. The water kind of fell out of the shower head, right at the spot where the grab bar was located on the wall...making the space even tighter. They are also remodeling, so only one elevator works. Being on the 6th floor, there were some times we had to wait, but it wasn't bad.

Hotel building looks nice from the outside, clean & pleasant when you first enter for checking in. Our room was okay too and comfy bed except for one thing our shower on the 6th floor doesn’t have enough water pressure. Just very frustrating experience when you need stronger water pressure to feel relaxed and comfortable from a busy day.

Great stay. I was greeted at my arrival with a smile, southern hospitality, and hot cookies- my fav! My room was spacious and had perfect accommodations to work from the room. WiFi was sufficient for my needs. The bedroom was very comfortable. The restaurant was also great. Tia, the bartender was super personable and made me feel very welcomed. I would definitely stay again.

Overall, my stay was a last-minute event, but I want to give a special thank you Marchelle she was the front end receptionist that did my check-in and I want to say she did an amazing job. She was very professional, friendly, and made sure that if I needed anything that they were going to take care of me and that means a lot. So not sure whoever this goes to but we need to make sure that we take care of that employee because she’s doing a great job.

The customer service experience was significantly lacking. My request for a company-named invoice was simply ignored by the reception staff. He failed to even listen to my feedback/ suggestions. Really terrible customer service. Furthermore, the description of the breakfast as 'complimentary' is misleading, as it was already pre paid during booking. Additionally, the air conditioning unit in the room didn't do the job of cooling the room. Avoid the ATM machine at the facility. It doesn't dispense any cash. Due to these issues, I cannot recommend this establishment.

There was construction ongoing which was not made aware to me BEFORE booking . Housekeeping service was sketchy. Showed up one day and not the next When I asked for coffee and cream packets, the front desk staff instructed me to where I could retrieve it myself. Horrible guest service. Will not recommend to my superiors and actually will advise to NOT use!!!

this was the WORST double tree I have stayed in of 30 years of travel. Front Desk never controlled the noise from other guests Housekeeping NEVER cleaned my room, even though I requested 3 times!!! Charged me higher rate than I had on my reservation! This has turned me away from ever staying at a double tree hotel again!!!

The stay was going well up until there were an unbelievable amount of police cars outside of the facility. Very concerning. When asking staff if it was safe to come back into the building after returning from the store, we were told it was a “small situation” and that it was already handled. Yet, I watched 3-4 more police cars pull up to the facility rather quickly. I stars this to the staff member and he responded with “ok.” I have never heard of a small situation resulting in 14 police cars surrounding the facility as well as 3 officers with a rifle on same floor where I was roomed. Very concerning and resulted in us leaving same night.

When I arrived at the property they were doing construction which was understandable throughout the building was very humid especially on the fourth floor once I got to my room It was not clean thoroughly there were crumbs on the floor deep stains in the carpet that night I found ants crawling around in my room I laid a bag on my bed from the floor and it was ants on the bed because i was not aware of the ants being in the room I went to the front desk and complained and Aarmon was awesome The second night there was only one roll of toilet tissue in the room and 1 of my kids had to use the restroom so I had to go downstairs to get toilet tissue because the phone in the room did not work to call the front desk It was people who were loitering outside in front of the building and on the side of the building I was kind of afraid to park my car out there because I was afraid that it was gonna be vandalized or broken into It was people hanging around the property that you know didn't clearly stay there It was not a great experience I was barely in the room but this is all I observed coming back-and-forth to this hotel

We had a nice start at the Doubletree. Room was nice, only complaint was the shower walls need a little more scrubbing. The front desk staff were very nice and friendly. The restaurant staff at the hotel were very nice and food was absolutely delicious! We were so glad that we decided to stay there and try them out. I would definitely stay here again.

No one was around when checking in at 2AM. The back door was unlocked so we checked and there was no one. No security, no front desk, and no one in the back. Finally after 20 minutes, some one came from the side door. Room was booked for two queens but they gave us two double beds on the first floor. YOU DO NOT WANT THE FIRST FLOOR. The rooms are damp!!!!!! Do not check in late, they will give your room to another guest. AND to top it off, was not given any cookies... smh. I don't think I will book this hotel ever again.
