We were in the perfect area the king size room was clean and fine

US hotel breakfasts are dreadful but I expected better from this chain. Processed fats and sugars, even the bread. It was as dire as the next hotel and should buy better local produce, but they won't. Room was big and airy and quiet and clean and comfortable! Staff were mostly average and could have been more welcoming

The hotel was okay. The room was relatively clean except it smelled like an old dog and mirrors and tv were dirty but this is a theme at this hotel. The windows in the dining area are FILTHY with children’s hand and mouth prints. I reported it to the 3 staff members idling at the desk the first day. The windows were never washed. The door exiting by the elevators had dirty windows. The coffee area was never cleanly maintained. I used hot water for tea and napkins to wash the counter myself before I made coffee. The washer/dryers are antiquated and strongly smell of mildew. The overall feel to this hotel is that it needs an overhaul. This being said - I have stayed in MUCH worse hotels in VB/Norfolk and I’ve stayed at the ocean front. I chose this hotel for the convenience of it having a shuttle to the airport which the driver never picked me up. I was told by staff that it’s a “courtesy”. Whatever that’s supposed to mean. If I set my pick up for 5:30 and you’ve left me at my hotel at 5:30 - you haven’t provided the service you say you provide at the hotel. Thankfully my husband was able to get me to the airport for my early morning flight!! Would I recommend staying here to others. I’m not sure because I know this is the typical hotel for the demographic of the area. Would I stay here again? I’m not sure.
