After checking in and leaving the premises and returning, there was absolutely no parking in the parking lot. I had to drive around the parking lot for 20 minutes as the bar downstairs in hotel was having a party, and there was no ample parking for myself and others who had Reservations for a room in the hotel I did have to contact the front desk and tell them where can I park without getting towed? I was directed to park along the curb along side of the drive that leads to the rear of the building upon entering my room, there was a noise all night long a humming sound of some sort, It was very irritating and had a hard time in getting a good night sleep there must’ve been some work being done either on the roof or adjacent rooms that left a machine on. I did not get a good night sleep.

The pool was closed, one of the elevators wasn’t working, there was a ringing sound in the bathroom, the pillows were flat. However they had a great breakfast with fresh fruit, and lots of seating. There was a restaurant/bar attached(Bar Louie)

I was there on business only to check in and a few hours later go to shower and BAM!!!!! NO HOT WATER!!!! Call front desk and he says tome Oh Yea we’re having issues with the HOT WATER and that was that !!!!! Would not recommend. We arrived and had zero parking available because the bar inside of the hotel was packed. We were unaware a bar louie was attached. Once we checked in we were told to park at the local seafood place once they closed. After getting lucky with snagging a parking spot as a bar goer left, we got to our room and was not happy with the quality. The bathroom sink was cracked and detaching from the countertop. The toilet seat was broken and felt unsafe to sit on without it falling off or apart. The bed sheets had small stains on them as if they were not thoroughly cleaned the night before. The noise lingered from the bar and the bar goers in the parking lot right outside even though we were on one of the top floors. Overall did not love the stay. Especially for the price.

This property was not clean at all the sheets smelled of men’s cheap cologne. There were dirty towels in the bathroom, trash in the trashcan and it looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks. There was still candy wrappers on the floor by the bed. I couldn’t even sleep in the bed because it smelled so strong of men’s cheap cologne. The bathroom was dirty. The whole place smelled like marijuana and there was noise in the hall up until past 11 PM. I used to think Holiday Inn was a good place to stay. I will no longer be wasting my time at Holiday Inn it is become just another motel 6.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Chicago-Oakbrook, an IHG Hotel, and was disappointed with the condition of the property. The building shows its age and, unfortunately, it isn’t well-maintained. My room’s cleanliness was below expectations, evident by the stains I found on the sheets. This lack of attention to detail made for an uncomfortable stay. Younger individuals may not find it unappealing, however there is a bar in the lobby that is more like a very saturated club on Friday and Saturday nights. Most if not all of the young ladies are scantily dressed (bottoms partially showing, club gear more like beach attire). Lots of drunken behavior. Approached by a young woman who was clearly a drug addicted (super thin, pasty skin, wide stare). Stay included my teenage daughter so my guard was up and we did not leave hotel room until morning.

Easy check in and out. Friendly staff. Pool was loud and overcrowded so we did not use the pool. Room only had 1 chair so someone had to sit on the soft bed. Bed was comfortable. Room was small. I cant upload a photo but if i could it would be the view from our window. A rock topped roof!

Bar Louie is in the hotel and you could hear the loud music booming through the walls all night. By the elevators was thick cigarette smoke either coming from the bar area or right outside the doors, it irritated my son’s allergies. The pool isn’t for small kids, it starts at about 4 feet and only goes deeper, you need wristbands to swim and the pool closes at 9pm. The hotel itself at first glance appears nice but it really needs some updating; paint was chipping and cracking on the walls, the bathroom door wouldn’t close all the way, fixtures were loose (faucet etc). There was trash all under the beds (earring fell and I was looking for it) housekeeping came and took our towels but didn’t replace them then only replaced two of four because “that’s all they had”. We got back in at midnight to find both keys to both rooms didnt work, they said they expired… how are my keys expired on night one of a two night stay? And parking was horrible especially when the bar is open, we ended up having to park in the back (looked like employee entrance) and walk all the way to the front of the hotel on the first night. Definitely would not stay again.

When we walked in to check in, there were girls about to fight in the lobby bathroom. I then checked in and was given a key to room 211 which hadn’t been cleaned. There were no sheets on the bed and and chicken bones everywhere. I then was moved to room 313 and there were dirty towels behind the door in the bathroom and the toilet covered in cleaning solution. I was moved a third time and toilet just ran water the entire night. Bar Louie attracts a loud crowd. Elevator got stuck on 3 and I had to take the stairs. The evening shift just leaves the stepped away sign on the desk. Was denied any sort of refund since I booked with expedited. Gave me free breakfast and some points tho…

Terrible Holiday Inn. Terrible customer service. They did not consistently clean my room. I called their front office to provide me with fresh clean towels and toilet paper which their cleaner did not provide but no action was taken. I even called their corporate headquarters and nothing was done too. This morning, a day after I checked out, I found out they overcharged me by more than a day. Please avoid this hotel. And if you think the corporate headquarters of Holiday Inn will assist you, you will be in for a big disappointment. I will avoid Holiday Inn from now on.

My overall stay was pleasant but when I was checking in the front desk person looked very confused that why am I here.when I told him I had booking for today he was like are u sure u have booking in our hotel.it was lil frustrating for me that I had to show him the Expedia booking confirmation and we ended up waiting for 10 mins. Overall experience is good.the housekeeping staff was very sweet.

The staff at this property, was very rude, we stayed two nights and had to extend a third in that time we could not get clean sheets or towels being told they didnt have house keepers ava and that there was no clean laundry. I def will not return to this facility.

I had an overnight stay in a standard King. Pros: free parking, free wifi, clean room, a comfy bed and microwave with refrigerator and in room safe. Having a room with BOTH a fridge and microwave is awesome! A lot of hotels only offer a fridge. Bar Louie is on premises and there's an eat in seafood/steak restaurant (Devon's) next door and and drive about a mile east and there's lots of restaurants and shopping at the mall. The cost for the room is very reasonable! The check in was quick and stafffront desk was friendly. The only cons are bathroom is too small and a minor con - wall paint was very obviously done with without primer and rushed which looked a little sloppy in some sections, no streaming services, just basic cable with one HBO channel. Despite, the cons,I had a very nice stay-cation!

Hotel is great location for driving right off the tollway and shopping and eating. Ask for room to be away from bar. Giordano’s Pizza next door across the street from Costco. Elevator. Limited parking in rear and side of hotel. It’s a high rise building. Jump right back on tollway and get to downtown, ORD or MDW airports.

Every time I travel to Chicago, I stay at this Holiday Inn. The staff are kind and the location is convenient no matter if you just want to stay in the Oak Brook area or if you want to travel out into downtown Chicago and its surrounding suburbs. Lazy Dog and First Watch restaurants are across the street, along with Walgreens, Ulta, and TJ Maxx. The mall is about a minute drive and you have Giordano’s Pizza practically next door.

No pool is really the only reason they got a 4. The breakfast buffet, which we opted to pay for was mediocre. It was worth the $3. The room was nice and very quiet. Bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Was not prepared for the $50 pet fee upon arrival. Learned the lesson to call motels before booking. When I went into the room the toilet was running. Had to jiggle the handle to get it to stop. Happened 3 times through the night. The room was great despite these issues. But won’t return due to $50 pet fee. Oh, the $4 breakfast was great!

Solid hotel in a good location. Clean and comfortable rooms. Property is a tad dated, but it is very well kept and beds etc are updated. Friendly service at the front desk and the service in the attached bar was great. The breakfast-if included- is not worth visiting.
