Super 8 by Wyndham Williamsburg/Historic Area

The room had roaches, the bed sheets where gross, the towels had dead roaches on them, they did not have breakfast and they had the pool closed. Very bad experience the front desk person was rude and didn't care about anything

The staff was nice. Staff was prompt and accommodating. The pool was beautiful, perfect temperature. We plan to come back often!

We stayed at this hotel about 5 years ago. It has significantly gone down. They advertised breakfast and there was none! They blamed it on COVID!!! That’s been gone for three years!!! They also advertised a pool. It was closed! The place needs a significant overhaul!!!

The property was unclean, noisy, and the pool was dirty and the pool's water was green. We had no maid service after our first night there. There were NO clean towels put in the room. Our dirty towels were left on the floor of the bathroom where we left them. The beds were not made and the floor was not cleaned either. Overall, this was one of the poorest motels that I have ever stayed in on vacation.

I picked this hotel because it was a Wyndham. They offered breakfast. I got to the hotel and was told they stopped when covid started. This hotel was not Wyndham standards by not means. The ice machine near our room was not working. The air conditioner stopped working in the middle of the night.

Overall good experience, found 2 roaches in the bathroom on the day we got there and when we left. Pool was clean and staff was friendly. Located near food and other places!

Probably one of the cleanest motels I’ve ever stayed in. The pool is open until 9 during the summer and you can barely hear the other rooms near you. I usually prefer hotels but I would love to stay here again next time we’re doing a Busch gardens weekend

Room was dirty, found crawling roach in bathroom, dried boogers wiped on bathroom door, mildew in bathtub/shower. Stains and spills all over walls and doors, mildew on curtains. Sketchy areas in parking lot, smell of weed all around outside if door. Some kind of white pill on floor under edge of bed that was there when we checked in and when we left. Wish I could add the pictures I took. 😖

I arrived to the hotel late, when I opened my room they were roaches on the bathroom and the bed. I understand this is not a 3 start hotel, but I didn't expect roaches.The attendant was really nice and she move me to another room. I was so tired that I didn't have time to find another hotel. So I stayed. I slept on top of the bed. The new room didn't have any visible Roaches

It was an easy check in and check out, but the rooms wasn’t very clean. The bedspread had stains and cigarette burns. And there was roaches

Never stayed asked for refund. 1st room had trash everywhere, beds unmade, towels on bathroom floor with a big dead cockroach, 2ed room cockroach's 3rd room smelled bad and had multiple traps that were full of coach roaches and room had hundreds of coach roaches never seen so many in my life.

No breakfast is available but it was advertised on your site that breakfast included. Blood stains and holes on bed sheet, dirty bathroom and towels. I want my money refunded.

Avoid this one. Check in was ok. First noticed a lot of white powder behind the beds. When we moved a sofa cushion to set up the pullout bed, a cockroach ran across the cushion. We asked to be moved to a different room. The girl was very cold - like she was used to this type of request. She moved us two doors down. This room was even worse. I pulled the sofa bed away from the wall to check it - found discarded clothing tags, Q-tips, lots of powder, and multiple dead roaches behind the sofa. Also found a dead roach behind one of the beds. At that point we requested a refund and checked out and went to a Holiday Inn. Again, the attendant was very unemotional - no apology, nothing. Just a "return the room keys before you leave". While we were loading up the car, we began talking to a gentleman that was smoking outside. We told him about the roaches. He said his wife had gotten bit up the night before. Told him to check the beds for signs of bed bugs. Not sure if he stayed or left after we did. Terrible start to our vacation and will never stay at a Super 8 again.

The tub was filthy and we had to clean before using. Awoke early to eat the supposed free breakfast but was told they no longer serve breakfast since 2020. I was upset that they had not removed the breakfast from their Expedia advert! Rudeness was all ee got.

Decent hotel and value. However, first “non-smoking” room had heavy cig smoke. Transferred to another “no-smoke” room that had smoke with heavy dose of air-freshener.

It was quiet for the most part. Our last night there it was more noisy with people playing loud music in the parking lot and yelling. There was a lot of foot traffic when it got later in the evening.

Room was dated. Bed cover had cigarette burns. Room reeked of weed. Did not look like the room in the photo when I booked. It was inexpensive, but definitely get what you pay for.

The hotel and our room in general seemed dated. The pullout couch/sofa was pretty old looking and not comfortable. The two other beds were OK in terms of comfort. The bathroom fan didn’t work the best and the shower curtain rod situation was terrible where it was difficult to keep the water in the tub/shower. The room accommodated a bigger family But I probably would not stay there again.

It was very noisy at night

Initial room had huge cochroach on bathroom floor. The A/C and air quality was awful. I asked for another room. The room was cleaner and the air was cleaner but the A/C unit was noisy. I could not sleep with it on so turned it off. The walls were paper thin. The floors above were shaking from the noise of the adjacent travelers. Very noisy.

My room was clean but dated bathroom. Air didn’t work properly key card access didn’t work good. We had to tap card 3-4 times before we could open the door. Booked another room for my daughter and her room was very dirty. Dirty wrinkled sheets hair all over bathroom floor and tub. Something weird all over the bedside table. We addressed the front desk. He never apologized but did put her in another room. He tried to say my daughter yelled at him she did not but she did raise her voice because he refused to look at the pictures and videos of the room conditions. He would even look at her. Booking said they served breakfast they do not. I will not stay there again nor do I recommend this place. I have pictures and video of the room conditions.

The bed was nice, bathroom was clean, but the room had a bad smell which made all my stuff stink. I assume I smelled to from the room to.

We had two rooms and the manager that checked us in practically shouted our room numbers with a lobby full of people, the “vending” machine was just a snack machine out by the pool, no drink machines. The non-smoking rooms we booked smelled like stale cigarettes and the doors were so hard to close. The bathroom floors were about the newest feature in each room. Despite the hotel being near several attractions, it definitely needs to be either condemned or remodeled. No breakfast in the mornings and coffee is atrocious with only powered creamer. I have never had such a horrible experience with a Super 8 in my life. People put being loud at all hours of the night and management did nothing. The manager acted like he didn’t care at all. Never will we stay here again.

I booked 2 nights and didn't even stay for one full night. I didn't expect much for the low price but save yourself the headache and spend a little bit more for somewhere else. This is a drug hotel. In my first five minutes there just unloading the car I watched a drug deal happen at the room beside mine. A lot of sketchy people walking around clearly high on hard drugs. Another guest let his pitbull run freely around the building. The room was disgusting. Holes in the walls and ceiling, sticky dirty floor, and the bed.. oh my god. The bed felt like a big piece of wood on top of old springs. The linens were nasty with burn holes and stains all over them. The people above me were blasting their music for the whole few hours I was there. The guy at the front desk wasn't very friendly at check in and seemed really off himself. I definitely don't recommend this place.

Louis was excellent in trying to resolve a problem. Being close to Colonial Williamsburg was a bonus!

I reserved a non-smoking room, we were assigned a room that reeked of smoke. The refrigerator was filthy, the room dated. The pull out couch was very old and uncomfortable. Housekeeping replenished our towels, but didn’t make the beds. We stayed one night, the second night I woke to a roach in my bed so we checked out a day early and I am supposed to get a refund, but have not yet. The pool was okay, clean.

The room was clean and stocked with towels. We gotten a room with 2 beds, would have preferred Queen size but the 2 full size beds were comfortable and well maintained. Nice location near food and gas and 4 miles from Busch Gardens.

We came from Eastern NC to visit Bush Gardens. It was a good stay. And the park was right down the road from where we stayed so that was really nice.

It was clean but there was NO BREAKFAST. Free breakfast is promised/advertised in this listing and it is not provided (only coffee and juice). They have not had free breakfast since COVID. Please update your site!!!

Pool was great, wifi was excellent but no breakfast. The specs for the hotel showed they served breakfast.

It's a misrepresentation to say this property had breakfast. What they had was coffee and a juice machine that produces water instead of orange juice. No food. I was not expecting anything fancy, but I was expecting something food-wise as advertised. I was looking for an inexpensive place to lay my head in a central location, so it ticked those boxes, but overall disappointed with the experience and will make an effort to stay somewhere else the next time I visit.
