I didn't like that there is only 5 or 6 parking spots and since I didn't get one of those spots, I was charged $22.00 to park one night in the parking garage! I won't go back because of the parking.

The hotel was conveniently located in terms of walking distance to shops and restaurants. The facility was clean and quiet for the most part. The pool was a little cold and the water a bit cloudy. Since I booked through Expedia, I was unable to apply any of the discounts (AAA, AARP) that may have qualified. I know that is not the hotels policy but perhaps a discount on parking or meals could have been offered.

Hotel advertises courtesy transportation to and from the airport. We were told that they were operating on restricted hours due to the season. Hotel had a Medical convention and a huge concert next-door and they were operating near capacity with no shuttle service when needed most. Courtesy coffee was empty at 9 o’clock in the morning and was told they’re not making any more.

Everyone and everything was great EXCEPT the pool was out didn’t let us know ahead of time so we could’ve found an alternative hotel! Pool is one of our first check boxes because of our 6 yr old son!

I took my son to Charleston on the train. We stayed at this hotel that was across the river from the train station. The shuttle picked us up. The staff were very friendly and accomotating! They gave us a river view room. We swam in the pool. The downtown location was very convenient. The shuttle took us around town to the museum and ballpark. The restaurant's food was good and came out quick. I will definitely stay again when in Charleston.

The water was completely turned off to the building for the first 3-4 hrs after checkin. When water was restored it was muddy making it unable to bathe or brush teeth. When asked if we could get a refund and just leave we were told no since we booked thru Expedia. Will have to rethink using Expedia in the future. It also did not help that there was a Harley Davidson convention in this hotel that was rather loud very late into the night and then the loud motorcycles started up before dawn the next morning.

Great location! The hotel was clean, friendly staff. The room was comfortable with a beautiful view of the river. The only problem was the pool. The water was cold, the filter did not work properly because the water looked very dirty. So we didn't use the pool.

The staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, the inside pool was unheated. My kids had been talking about swimming for the entire 3 hour car ride to this hotel, so we took a very cold swim which wasn't ideal. Several other families came to the pool and were also disappointed. It was like ice water!

The rooms are fine, nothing exceptional and nothing to complain about. What you'd expect for oh, $140/night-ish. Clean and serviceable. However it's not $140 a night, it's $180 a night. Go downstairs for coffee and a Danish for breakfast? Nope. Pay "restaurant", which is a few tables and some high tops tucked away off the lobby. How about parking? Yep, they charge you to park in their parking garage. Bottom line, I don't have a problem with paying for parking if it's NYC or some very crowded location as space is a premium. This is Charleston, West Virginia. Give me a break. This place would be reasonable priced at $135/night, maybe $160 during peak/desirable dates such as downtown festivals with free parking and continental breakfast included. $180 and and all the extra costs? Not worth it.

Nice property, clean rooms. The only complaint I have is the air conditioning units are motion sensed, so they turn off when you're not in the room..or asleep. It was stiffling hot at night because of this.

The lobby was filthy during the entire stay. Trash cans were overflowing. A street festival was in progress making for a very noisy evening. The streets were closed and had insufficient signage to indicate that it was still possible to make it to the parking garages. The parking garages were not adequately identified as belonging to Four Point Sheraton.

When I chose this location for our family to stay, I expected a nice hotel that would be clean with nice furniture (or at least clean). For the price we paid, I expected to be able to sit on the sofa. It was so OLD. I am not exaggerating; I have photos. The arms of the sofa been were so worn and filthy and stains on the cushions and the front of the sofa where the back of your legs touch. This is where our son was going to sleep. We unfolded the sofa bed and before we even got it fully opened there was a huge stain in the underside of the mattress. If we were going to use it, there was no bedding to be found in the room. I would NOT left him sit on it or sleep in it. The carpet was old also. I refused to take my shoes off. When I go into a hotel room, I always check for bedbugs first. While this hotel showed no evidence of bugs, when I pulled the sheet back, the mattress had a huge stain on it. The bathroom was no better. The grout around the shower was yellow and filthy. I refused to shower while there. I spoke to the wonderful young lady at the front desk. She offered me a different room, if I wanted to look at it. The couch in the second room was even more disgusting. More stains and the arms even more worn and filthy.

Great location! The hotel was clean, friendly staff. The room was comfortable with a beautiful view of the river. The only problem was the pool. The water was cold, the filter did not work properly because the water looked very dirty. So we didn't use the pool.

This was my second stay and the room seemed shabbier than last year. I also found a blackberry on the floor, a shoe under the bed, and what looked like caramel sauce on the bottom of the tv, wall, and curtains which leads me to believe the room was not cleaned very well. Also when we asked for linens for the pull out sofa bed they were brought to us in a garbage bag.

Some of the front desk staff was extremely rude when handling a reservation issue. Instead of helping, they just repeatedly told the customer that they were wrong, even though they were not. The room smelled like garbage. The amenities were nice and the location was great.

For the price I would of expected a better room. The hotel room needs some painting and upkeep. The air conditioner could not keep the room cool. We turned it down to 65 and it couldn’t get the temp below 72. It was miserable to sleep in. For $200 a night I expect better.

Our suite was comfortable and roomy. Larger beds would have been nice. The main issue was an extremely loud air conditioning unit. Made it nearly impossible to sleep. I eventually turned it off, but the room got too hot.

We had a room with a river view. It was spacious with a comfortable bed. There was a small cafe in the lobby and a sports bar connected to the hotel through a hallway. You could easily walk to restaurants and bars downtown or go to trails on the river. There was a shopping center nearby.

My mother and cousin were coming in to see my daughter graduating from high school. I spoke with both Alex and Shelby at the front desk before their arrival and they were so polite and accommodating. I felt like they gave my family the rock star treatment, even putting gift bags I had made them in the room before they checked in.

The lady at the front desk was very unhelpful, we asked where the ice was and we were told on odd floors but 5th was not working, so we stooped at the 7th floor on the way to our room and that was not working either, my husband called the desk, he said she was rude a pond said you just need to go floor to floor, very sad, he’s disabled and she knew because we told her we were parked in the handicap space,

Perfect centralized location in downtown. Walking distance to many dining, shopping and entertainment venues. The beds are HEAVEN and the staff, outstanding! Friendly, informative, responsive, the front desk was staffed around the clock. Will definitely be returning!

Great, modern property. Several in house dining options (good food!) and super close to all of the great restaurants, breweries, small businesses on super cool Capital St... Right across from the riverfront park/stage area. Our room had a great view of the river, too!
