Hotel was fine, a bit outdated, but clean. We we returned to our rooms last night. We drove around the parking lot for 45 minutes looking & waiting for a parking spot. When I told the front desk what had happened they did apologize, but offered no compensation to me at all.

Front desk check-in process was bumpy in that the clerk did not enter our car license plate and make/model info into their computer system that was written down and then the following day we had a tag on our car window threatening to tow our vehicle. Why would this hotel in this Richmond, VA suburban area charge 10 dollars per day for parking? No other local area hotels charge for parking. Total money grab. Lobby was out of coffee each time that I attempted to get coffee in the morning.

Do not stay here. The pool and fitness center are closed. They are renovating, but they should really just knock it down. I was expecting a nice place with a decent restaurant. The ac/heat was broken and they didn’t fix it like they said they did. We ordered room service that never came. The shower was leaking badly. The carpets are horrifically old and gross. The furniture in the common areas looks like it’s all from the 70s. The ONLY good part were the beds. The beds were very nice. This place is a nightmare inside and out. The hotel next to it looks much better. Don’t let the photos and info fool you- this hotel is an absolute dump.

I was aware the hotel was being renovated from my previous stay in October. I was surprised by the bar and lobby renovations as well as the one elevator. Otherwise, our stay was great. Had the hotel been more crowded this may have been an issue. I plan to stay at the hotel and would recommend to friends.

First off Doubletree is my hotel of choice. I booked this room for me and my family. Upon arrival. The whole property looked like it was not even open construction going on everywhere. piles of trash, 6 foot tall out the view of my window. The pool was under construction. That was the whole point of choosing this property was so my daughters could swim. Not happy will not stay here again. Feel like I should at least get a partial refund on the stay.

The condition of the hotel is horrible and in need of a total renovation. The elevators are extremely warm and slow moving, skipping floors and leave persons waiting for extreme amounts of time. My initial room was disgusting, there appeared to be blood smeared on the wall by the window, dust covering the nightstand and stains on the bedskirt.

I liked the front desk service of Terri and Carly and Vicky and Russel. They were exceptional as was the breakfast service with the wait staff who were also exceptional. The room was very dirty, especially the bathroom which was awful, I had to clean it thoroughly and clean every surface of the room. The walls were full of dust as well and the rugs were dirty too...it was disgusting..I borrowed my parents' vacuum to vacuum as well. The room wasn't even prepared to be heated before we came when it was below freezing outside and the water was shut off for hours during one of the days we were there. One of the desk people Jonathan charged my credit card for the stay when I had already prepaid for my visit when I told him I already did and I had to have my card and your front desk twice go over it to take it off of my card. I wasn't very happy on my third visit to your hotel. But finding the room very filthy again was very, very disappointing.

We were in town to attend a funeral for a family member and were shocked at the dilapidated condition of the hotel. The property is apparently about to undergo a major and overdue renovation. The hallways were dated and dingy, with tape over the elevator button on our floor. The room itself was also very dated, with old, gross carpet, a finicky toilet, dirty windows you couldn’t see out of, and scuffed walls. We found bugs (small roaches?) in the bathtub the first night and on the walls our second night. The room rates were way too high for the inferior appearance at this hotel. We expected much better accommodations for $200 a night. The only bright spot in our stay was the staff. We arrived after the Crowdstrike fiasco and were unable to get room keys due to the computer malfunction for the entirety of our stay. A member of the staff was always able to escort us to our room when we returned to the hotel, and they were very nice whenever we had any interactions.

I never leave reviews for any place but I have to for this one. Both rooms smelled like moldy carpet and the bathrooms were constantly humid as the vents did not work well. The duvets that they hide in between the two flat sheets on the bed were cleary dirty and had not been washed for a while. We just eneded up taking them off and putting them to the side. We had to buy air fresheners for both rooms which only helped slightly. The bathrooms looked as if the humidity and a build up of dirt had accumulated over time on the base molds which was gross. One of the staff memebers in the cafe had an attitude and seemed to be bothered that we asked qustions about the $18 per plate breakfast buffet. We ended up talking to some other very nice staff members including the cook who were so kind. When the person who was initially annoyed tried to chime in, we just ignored her. I would not stay here again. More so becaise of the condition of the rooms.

There was a giant cockroach crawling on the wall in the room. The front desk said they had no other rooms available with king sized beds- totally fine. They refused to issue a refund saying ‘we can’t just refund everyone that has a change of heart and decides not to stay’. The staff at this hotel were very kind, but the hotel, elevator, and rooms were not clean. While getting into bed, we watched a cockroach run across the TV stand/dresser. I had stayed here previously a few years ago and did not have this experience. Disappointed.

Very nice staff, great breakfast but a little pricey. Room was clean and had a mini fridge and microwave which is awesome. Water pressure on the 6th floor was great. Only real problem was the bathroom door hinges made a horrible noise, needs grease and a very slow shower drain! But that was only in room #621 where we stayed. Overall, nice hotel. Oh and Jeanette, our breakfast server was amazing! Very friendly and helpful, plus she’s a teacher so take care of her.

Staff service was great but the room I felt like it needed updated. Room 218 bathroom fan sounded like the bearing was going to fly apart, all the furniture in the room looked like it's 20 years old and beat up, and the bath tub I think should be a walk in tub in every room.

I’ve stayed many times while visiting the area and each time is different. The hotel itself is a little dated but still nice. Great indoor swimming pool if there is not a thousand screaming kids like our last time. Solid gym with free weights. Good breakfast buffet but way overpriced if you’re not a Hilton rewards member. The area has a lot of food options, it’s right off a main road, from fast food to nice dining. The rooms are a little dated too. We had to get a two double bed room as all the kings were booked. My bed was fine, but my wife’s was really old and way too soft. She’s maybe 100 lbs, and she woke up with her back hurting! The tub faucet had a constant drip(room 208) and the towels are a little rough. But overall it’s a good property. I would stay again just hopefully not in that room.

The staff has been great especially the man that checked us in when we car in. He saw my parents had some mobility issues and suggested a ground floor room and We loved it. We absolutely loved the chocolate cookies of course as well.

Hotel is somewhat updated. Staff was not as courteous as expected. We’ve stayed at other Doubletree by Hilton hotels in the past and the installation as well as the staff have been amazing, not at this hotel. Seems like they were in a hurry to end their shift or just don’t enjoy their job. They advertise the convenience of room service from their onsite restaurant/bistro but no one ever answered the room service extension so we had to go downstairs to order our food. Food was plain and lacked flavor and presentation.

The staff was so rude, and didn’t even bother to help and when I even did get help it was like a bother to them so much and giving us such looks as if we aren’t people, I felt very judged within this hotel and did not like any of the staff, I didn’t even cause a problem, but I do love the room and where it’s located over all 3/5 stars

While some of the area was under renovation, it did not affect the quality of our stay. The best part was the unbelievable service we received when checking in. They were super attentive to the needs of my child and tried their best to find some snacks that she could enjoy. The cookies were super delicious and much needed after a long drive. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The area has plenty of options for food. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that is staying in the Richmond area

The property was nice. Front desk staff was very accommodating by letting us check in early. Had a staycation here because we were getting engagement photos done in Richmond. The room was on a high floor which I liked and it was clean. Bathroom was clean as well!

Only use Uber for early morning check out, Lyft charges a lot and may not even come. Their are no sidewalks so walking to shopping area is nearly impossible as their highway is very busy.

Had a nice stay for a three day soccer tournament. The complimentary warm chocolate chip cookies and water bottles were a hit! Was convenient to multiple locations throughout the area and only 15 minutes to downtown Richmond. Lots of options for shopping and eating nearby. Only complaint was staff enforcing quiet hours on adults/parents at 10 in the lounge/bar/TV area, but bar was open til 11.

Very annoyed we were not told about construction ahead of time. The pool and restaurant were closed. We could go across the street to use some pool at some other facility, but who wants to run all over in the swimsuit in November?? The whole lobby was under construction. So much so, we couldn't even figure out where to check in at first. Most of the staff were nice, except the person who checked us in initially. The tub wasn't super clean, the beds seemed like the smallest doubles ever, and they only provided 3 towels (4 people in our room). We asked for a towel refresh and each time specified 4, but would have to go back and ask for another afterward. It wasn't the worst ever, but it definitely wasn't the best. The breakfast was very good, but not worth $18 a person. Other hotels have similar breakfasts included, without construction noise! Wouldn't recommend staying here.
