This is a good hotel. 4-stars due to these cons: Pool was very cold….hot tub was not hot, which was a bummer, but not a deal-breaker. Breakfast wasn’t great, but it’s free. Room was clean, check-in was easy, bed was comfy, which is much more important to me than the pool/hit tub. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again…good for the price.

Really the only thing i didnt like was in room with pool and spa was cold the pool was so cold couldnt swim and spa wasnt really even warm much less hot but other then that our stay was excellent

The hot tub did not get hot. And no housekeeping came. Other than that it was great. The pool is beautiful. The breakfast was amazing. The best hotel coffee I've ever had. The staff was absolutely wonderful.

The hotel location is perfect, next to Walmart, Whataburger and a restaurant. Nicely clean and the breakfast was good, same selections though but good. I loved that the room was nice and cold but the bed was uncomfortable and water from taking a shower was getting on the floor from the thin cloth shower curtain. The pool and hot tub are inside, hot tub wasn’t working but was told it’s getting fixed, the pool water is freezing cold but felt great since it was in the 100s outside during my stay. In all I would definitely stay at this hotel again due to location and how clean it is.

The room was fine. We were there for our son's graduation. We were looking forward to the pool and jacuzzi. Neither were heated and would not warm up despite turning it on. The water was freezing and not enjoyable at all. The breakfast was really good though.

The staff was pleasant; however, the hot tub was not even warm. The bathroom exhaust fan did not work. The refrigerator in our original room did not work. The front desk person had problems trying to add our pet fee and said she would ask someone else and add it the following day. Ten minutes later she was knocking on our door saying my account was red-flagged because I had not paid the pet fee. When I checked out 2 days later she said she could not give me a receipt. There were no working ice machines in the building.

Property right next to Walmart store and close distance to all commerce has to offer was great. Evan though water in the hot tub was not hot and blow dryer didn't work everything else did and all in all was a relative good experience.

Our room was very dirty, There was dust on everything the couch had food and stains all over it. There was a baby rattle from the people before us still in the room under our bed. The bed was old and very springy. The ac unit Cycled all night long and never stayed on. This place is terrible and will never be staying here again. I wish I could ask for a full refund because it was over $100 to stay here. On top of that, the hot tub was never hot and there were never towels. And every time you asked for towels, they said oh we don’t have any in gave you small hand towels to use.

This place had an awful smell, floors was sticky, carpet was horrible, everything was old and stale. I felt nasty sleeping in the rooms and the out side was filthy also. They should be ashamed of themselves. Commerce needs to recruit more places for peloton stay. It’s the only spot that showed up when we was looking, so this is the only roach motel in the area. It’s sad, $100. Wasted.

Great location. Good food and stores close Room was large and had 2 bathrooms. But both beds have flees and I killed several roaches. Definitely not impressed with the lack of pest/bug control.

It was not good at all my room was dirty when i first got there dirty bath tubs floor not clean sink not clean. And not to mention there was black mold in the ceiling above the tub and it smelled like mildew as well. I had to change rooms. And everyday after getting off work i would go to my room just to turn around and go back down to the first floor to get my card reprogrammed to my room everday. And the hot tub out doors did not heat up at all ..i will not be back. For sure

Very dirty, roaches and crickets in the room and check in area. When we checked in there was dead bugs in the check in area. On leaving the property the bugs was still in the same place. Roaches on the walls, and when we pointed it out to the front office they moved us to another room with roaches, crickets and dead spiders. I went to the front desk to get a broom to sweep the bugs up, but was told housekeeping would come. Never showed up. The hallway was covered with crickets. The furniture in the rooms was broken and dirty. The elevator was horrible with dust and mud on the floor. They have no competition so they aren’t worried about cleaning because people don’t have a choice when visiting the college.

This property is conveniently located next to Texas A&M Commerce and Walmart. Renovations are taking place which were very much needed base upon my last stay. The renovations were the missing piece to the puzzle. This is the place I will stay if I’m ever at Texas A&M commerce again moving forward because there are no other hotels in the Commerce area that would meet my standard. I can only comment on the rooms that were renovated because if this was not the case, then I would not have stayed.

It is very convenient to the University and a very good little restaurant. It is an old Holiday Inn Express that has been renamed not renovated. Furniture very dated. It served the purpose, a clean safe place to stay after the football game. The only hotel in town. Breakfast was adequate nothing exceptional.

Relatively quiet hotel.. friendly staff, I would have gave 5 star but the beds are kinda uncomfortable had back pain after day 2. We checked out a day early staff was understanding and refunded us a hundred bucks… your in the same parking lot as a Walmart and steakhouse that’s a huge plus.. overall was a great stay.

The only bad thing was a floodlight pointed directly at my window. It wasn't enough to keep me awake if I closed the curtains, but it did look like it might be day outside 24/7. Otherwise it was a very nice hotel, friendly staff and clean and nice rooms.

This is apparently the most expensive hotel in town. But for $90 what do you expect. The first room we checked into was stifflingly warm and humid, plus the TV didn't work. We turned the AC on to see if the room would begin to cool, but the AC never had cold air blowing. We requested a new room. The TV at least worked in this room, but it too was very warm and humid - but the AC would at least blow cold air. So we settled. We left for dinner hoping that when we return it would be cool in the room. It wasnt really, but it was better. We basically slept on top of the sheets the whole night. The room however was clean. Furniture was very dated and worn. The breakfast the next morning was --- not good. I've played racquet ball with something less bouncy than the eggs. The OJ and coffee were very watered down. The waffle was great however! I did leave something valuable in my room and had to return over 12 hours later after we checked out to retrieve it - and it was handed to me safe and sound. So, I'll give them kodos for being honest! If you just need a no expectations place to stay, this might work. But if you can get to the next town, it might be worth the drive...

The girl just seems OLD! Carpet, bathroom tiles, and fixtures needs updating. The carpet in the room had several stains and something either burned or stuck to the floor. The tiles in the bathroom were lose, they works shake when you stepped on them. The walks needed c a paint job after several years of wear and tear.

I booked a room with 2 queen beds for 2 non-gay guys but got 1 king bed, small sofa and a jacuzzi. When we complained that it was not what we ordered, they said their hands were tied and they could not fix our room. The staff at this hotel made it known that they didn’t like that we booked through a 3rd party (Expedia) and we were not given the room we booked through Expedia. So one slept in the bed and son slept on a makeshift bed using the couch cushions. While it was only one night, we will never book at this hotel again.

We have stayed here several times in the past with no problem but this time was awful!! The first room we were put in had a towel in the toilet and the toilet didn’t work. The second room didn’t have a shower curtain and the phone didn’t work so I went down to the front desk, was handed a shower curtain and had to put it up myself. When I went down and asked for towels the girl came back with one and said “sorry that’s all I could find” and acted annoyed I even asked. The customer service has gone from a 10 to a 2 overall. To top it off the breakfast has gone down too. Not sure if they have new owners or what but the people there now act like it’s a bother to help anyone.

This hotel was located in a wonderful location for our group. An excellent restaurant was situated only a short walking distance from our hotel. The area was safe and quiet. It will be a very nice hotel again when the renovations are complete…for now, it is still a bit of a work-site.

We visiting out daughter who goes to school at East Texas A&M. The location is great. Right across from the school and right next door to Walmart. Stayed at this location earlier this year and thought we would give them another try. Was not much better this trip. Room still smelled very musky. My son said his bed smelled like urine.

Waste of money, no proper breakfast. Out of service and quality of food items is not even good. No hair dryer working. Total night AC is at low temperature but room is hot. Lucky we stay at one night but the hotel is not suggested to stay .

This hotel was just ok. I have been coming to this hotel since it was Holiday Inn when it was first built. While it did its job for me to sleep, the breakfast was bad. The OJ was old, no coffee, and potatoes were still cold. I will still come because let’s face it, it’s better then the other options, but I believe there needs to be some up grades and make sure all coffee pots in rooms work as well as getting plugs that can charge phones.

My husband stayed at this hotel while he was fossil hunting in Ladonia and Ben Franklin. He was very happy with it. He was especially impressed with the breakfast.
