Hotel was easy to find, right off I-26 in Columbia, SC. Renovated rooms, lobby and great gym. Breakfast was great, a variety of foods including hot and cold items and fruit. Personnel at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Area was adjecent to shopping and several restaurants. Highly recommendfor families, seniors and business travelers.

Very old hotel, lots of wear and tear. Seemed fairly clean. Room smelled musty like wet dog, very humid. Gym is tiny with very dated equipment. Good breakfast and good coffee machine in the lobby.

There was construction on the parking lot so it was a bit messy. I guess being close to the mall was an attraction to some motorcycles to pop wheelies, be especially noisy one night. Great breakfast, nice fitness area.

This was a nice stay and the price was right! The water pressure in the shower was great, everything was clean enough, and the bed was comfy. I was happy to see protein Greek yogurt and boiled eggs offered at breakfast. You could find more luxurious places, but you would have to pay more. You may want to know that the gym does not have a pull-up bar.

My stay was absolutely amazing. The location, the staff, the cleanliness of the hotel exceeded my expectations. Only complaint is there is no pool, my kids really wanted to swim.

Given the price we paid for 1 night we did expect the room to be a bit nicer. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling and bubbled up. There was mildew in the bathroom along the grout lines in the shower. The tub felt like you were going to fall through the floor and we could hear everything that was going on in the hallway. We have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express and never had a room that needed as much attention as this one.

The bathroom was tucky dirty. Hair in the shower. Things smeared on the walls. What was super yucky lioked like someone had put buggers on the hair dryer bag. Just a gross feeling on the cleanliness of the room.

Bugs! Bugs! Bugs! Terrible. We went to the room and there was a roach crawling up the wall. Now we have to fight for a refund. Holiday Inn should be embarrassed to have their name associated with this hotel.

Not good. The hotel itself didn’t seem dirty, but our room was! It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned well at all. The phone was absolutely nasty! The bathroom looked like they did a quick once over and none of the surfaces looked like they had wiped them down. The room smelled like mildew the minute you opened the door. The carpet was gross the hard floor was sticky. The mirror looked like someone had burnt or written on it and the shelf with the microwave looked like it was about to fall down. The shelf in the bathroom was also either hung crooked or about to come off the wall too. The bathroom door looked like there had been a previous flood in the bathroom and the whole bottom of the door was bubbled out and could have been what we smelled?!? The bedding looked clean, so that was good. But one of the beds was super uncomfortable. The other was more comfortable. The breakfast was just ok, definitely not as good as most other holiday inn express breakfasts.

There were Ants in our bed. They gave us a different room. The 2nd room had dirty water bottle and used coffee pod and no cups. Since the bed was clean we didn’t complain . Probably would try a different hotel in the future.

Check in to over 30 minutes most of which was spent standing in awkward silence while the host messed around on the computer. The treadmill was broken. The shades in my room were broken as was one of the plugs. The hot water took forever to get hot. The cleaning staff was very rude and not at all helpful. Two of them laughed at me and called me a bad word in a non English language when I tried to get my computer charger from my room after I left the key to check out. I went to the front desk to get another key after the cleaning staff was no help. They gave me a key that did not work. Thankfully another staff member let me in to grab my charger. I ended up being late to my appointment because of the hassle.

Check in was like a joke. Two people there, one disappeared. The one checking us in kept mumbling; I finally realized he had his phone on speaker and was talking to someone. Really??? You can't hang up and focus on customers? At this point there are 3 others waiting after me. Still no one else helping. Our bill went thru my credit card at 10:30, then again at check-in. I asked for receipt, he says he can't print one because we booked with a 3rd party ((Expedia). I said you ran my card here and it billed, yet you can't print a receipt?? He says yep, I'll have the manager call you when she comes in.....still waiting on that call. So-breakfast; they have oatmeal in little carton. Instructions say add water, microwave. I put the water in and ask where's the microwave? Answer- "we don't have one." Seriously?? I'm betting there are better options nearby.

We only stayed 1 night. The room was clean. Breakfast was an amazing surprise. The options were excellent food was hot. Loved the pancake maker it was a cute novelty. Biscuits and gravy actually decent for being from a hotel. Fruit options bagels, muffins. Scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt and off course cereal for kiddos.

They said free breakfast until 10am on Saturday - we went down at 9:30am and all the hot food was gone. When we inquired, we were told they stop cooking at 9:15am. How does this meet the needs of the customers? There were several of us looking for food...bagels, muffins, bread, pancakes, cereal were left. Nothing warm except their pancake maker - no eggs, sausage, or protein. Very disappointed, since the free breakfast is why we booked the property.
