The pool was a very nice feature with the heat of the week being in the 100's. Also loved how clean everything was, and very friendly staff from the front desk to the maid. Thanks for a great stay, also very comfortable beds.

I booked based on reviews from my Fort Jackson parents fb page. I was sold the second I walked in! It smelled so fresh and clean but not overpowering. The staff were friendly and helpful. The building and the pool were fantastic. We will definitely book again!! If your coming in town for Army family or graduation day, this is a great place to stay!

This property would have gotten a 10/10 if it had not misled about their pool. Lists a pool to get people to perhaps stay for that amenity and then informs after the transaction it is closed. Otherwise, a great hotel if you don’t mind dishonesty.

Hotel was very clean. The staff was wonderful. Had to have a FedEx delivered overnight for my Work, and they took care of it till I could come pick it up. We also brought our dogs with us and it was very pet friendly.

My stay at the La Quinta hotel in South Carolina was mostly positive. The hotel had an odd smell in the hallways and the room smelled musty. The towels were dirty, washcloth was streaked brown and hand towel had makeup all over it. The tub and shower looked new and were clean, but the rest of the bathroom was grungy with what looked like black mold on the walls. The ottoman had a slit down the middle. Breakfast was terrible. At least invest in decent coffee. Just awful.

Chosen for cleanliness, based on reviews. Property had a strong odor of disinfectant, as did room, so it was sterile. Most of the room was apparently clean…but the cleaning staff missed the sink under-rim with its hair and shaving cream, and a corner of the room where the floor and wall corner had the appearance of accumulated dust. One of the wash cloths provided appeared to have been used.

The staff was very friendly however, the bathroom was extremely dirty. The shower walls had dried stains, the toilet base was disgusting, and the light switch looked like it had dried blood on it. The manager switched my room but, that bathroom was dirty as well. I refused the room until he cleaned the toilet.

My shower was dirty, and the drain was clogged water rising in stand alone shower. Used lotion and soap provided. Comforter on bees smelled musty and was not changed. Phone did not work to call front desk. I told the front desk and nothing was offered as a courtesy. My experience could’ve been better.

For the most part, the room was in good and clean condition. There was a stain that looked like splashed soda on the wall near the right side of the bed. The shower had some mold and mildew stains in the corners and tiles.

We were there for a graduation at Fort Jackson. Which means, long days out of the room, leaving early & coming back later in the evening. The area isn’t the greatest looking but we never felt unsafe. The staff was very nice from the moment we checked in. The room was small but clean although you could tell the towels & bedding were aged. The bed was not comfortable, the mattress was sagging & we all awoke with sore backs & not just from our long days! The do have a breakfast but we left each day to get to base before he began. For the price point & the amount of time spent in the room, it’s not bad. If you are looking for more comfort, then you may want to pay a bit more. It was VERY clean & housekeeping came in daily which was wonderful!!!

The first day breakfast was not available as stated in reservation description. Multiple army families wanted the 6am breakfast and it was not even started. People need to get on the road early and we went without breakfast the first day. About 615 someone started to get into the kitchen. The room was ok, the carpet looked 100 years old. The shower door in my room didn’t stay shut causing water to go out onto the floor. We were offered clean towels every day.

The property was in like-new condition. Staff was attentive. The full-wall tile mosaic of a birds-eye view of downton Columbia was stunning; I would not have thought this would be found in a motel. Only complaint: The bathroom exhaust fan was terribly noisy and came on with the light. The design engineers for this chain should specify a quiet fan, such as Broan, and a separate switch.for the fan.

We had a wonderful time. We arrived late (around 11pm) and the individual at the front desk was lovely. Asked us how our drive was and was efficient getting us checked in. The room was clean, recently updated and the bed was comfortable. The only downside was it being a pet friendly hotel, we had a dog across the hall barking but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault.

The hotel was sold out for a the Saturday night that we stayed. Yet, at 2:30 PM there was only one desk attendant to help guests with check in. The room design was awful. The bathroom light switch was on the wall behind the door. There was nowhere to hang clothes and only one, tiny drawer. The walls were so, paper thin that we could hear other conversations and phone alarms around us. When I got in the shower, there was a hair hanging on the wall. There was little water pressure and it never got hot. I wouldn’t recommend.

We have stayed at this hotel before and had a good experience so booked (through Hotels.com as we always do) for one night when heading back south. On arrival we were told that our confirmation number was not correct and that they did not have a reservation for us, even though we showed a receipt from Hotels.com. The staff offered no assistance and simply told us to rebook another room and sort it out with the third party later. As it was late we didn’t really have another option so have paid twice for the room. When we got to our room the thermostat wasn’t working so we called the desk and asked that they bring batteries as we suspected that was the issue. Staff agreed - waited two hours no one came. The staff are uninterested in providing any helpful service. We won’t be booking at this location again.

We arrived about two hours prior to check in. We asked if we could check in early to get ready for a wedding, and the guy at the front desk said that they don’t usually allow people to check in early. So my husband and I were trying to figure out what to do while standing at the desk. He said well we will charge you a fee of $30 to check in early. I was kind of taken aback because he sounded like he really couldn’t check us in, but then all of a sudden he could do it for a fee. He was checking us in, and then he said, “Oh we will put $100 hold on your card, and you’ll get it back in 24 hours.” Something just did not feel right with my husband and me. The hotel that I usually stay in was booked, but I usually don’t have to pay fee to check in early. I also have not had $100 hold on my card. I did look up La Quinta hotels regarding the $30 early check-in fee all of them don’t have the same policy. And some hotels do put $100 hold on your card. One other thing that we didn’t like about the room is that the sink area was outside of the bathroom at the door. That was odd. The bathroom was really small. My husband asked me to never book us at this hotel again.

My son graduated from BCT at Fort Jackson South Carolina so we booked a room at La Quinta from Oct 27, 2025 - Oct 30, 2025. We were able to take him from Fort Jackson to his next base for AIT and had to check out a day early. The hotel refused to refund our last day. The guest in front of us when we were waiting to check out was having an issue and the staff was being very rude to him in front of all of the other hotel guests. The facility itself was nice, clean, and the beds were comfortable. The staff at check in was very nice, helpful, and all smiles. I understand that everyone has bad days, but when you work in the public you can not be rude like that. Very disappointed in

This is my 3rd stay at this location I’m not from SC, but my Church is there so sometimes this requires me to need to stay over. The last time I stayed here was in May. As soon as I walked in, I remembered the check in clerk but wasn’t sure if he remembered me. As soon as I walked in and spoke, he greeted me with “Hello welcome back!” That blew me away I said “You remember me” he said “Of course” and that did it for me. This will be my location every time I need to stay over. All the staff is friendly though to say the least. And they keep it CLEAN which is another plus and I feel safe as I’m a single traveler most of the time.

Nice property. Appears to be recently updated and everything is in good order. The only comment form me is that the cleanser/air freshener they use is really strong for anyone with a sensitive sniffer. Also very quiet overnight. Otherwise it was great. We had our small dog and it was ideal. Close to I77 and lots of restaurants in the area too. I’d definitely stay there again.

We went to S.C. for our niece's graduation at Ft. Jackson. Very convenient to get to the base. It was located right off of the highway and about 10 minutes away. The property itself was clean and although, not fancy, it met our needs because we were out most of the day. The staff were friendly and gave us advice about when to leave for the graduation so we wouldn't be stuck in the long line to get on base.

It was super confirmed to William Bryce Stadium! The area the hotel Is located does not appear to be very safe. We ran into the Circle K to grab a water bottle in the evening and there was an armed police officer wearing a bullet proof vest. You can hear the train through the night as it beeps its horn. There was a few people in the parking lot adjacent to the hotel late at night being loud.

Bedsheet torn and stained. Need to be replaced. Breakfast was unhygienic. Danish and muffins stale and orange juice is fake. Over easy eggs look fake too. Cook doesn't wear gloves. Keeps running both hands over his hair, rubbing his nose and face and then stirs the burnt scramble eggs. Took a peek in the kitchen. All the cabinets (top part - to open and close) stained in dark dirty color. Do not expect that of La Quinta Inn. Look more like Quality Inn hotels.
