The staff was very nice but over all the property was dirty and the furnishings were very tired and stained. The bar area was nice and so was the night time bartender. But during the day, when it was open, I couldn’t find anyone to take an order and there were several dirty tables with used dishes on them. Overall, it was in a convenient location but most things close by were closed or seedy looking

We arrived at this property to attend an event at the Gala Convention Center. The very first contact we had was with the shuttle driver, Lance. Lance was awesome! He was accomodating, informative, and very helpful with making recommendations for the area. Then, we met with the front desk attendant, Kadecia (sorry, spelling is probably wrong). Again, AWESOME! We arrived a bit earlier than expected but she went out of her way to assist with recommendations of where to go and what to do in the meantime. She held our luggage and made sure to call us at the earliest time we could check in! Kudos to our other shuttle drivers, and the manager on duty the following evening, Tyree. Unfortunately, he had to step in and make sure we received enough towels, toilet paper, and body gel. We had to ask for more towels more than 4 times. We kept getting the runaround from the other staff. We stayed for two nights and our room was never cleaned. Tyree even had to take out our trash for us. The hotel's location is perfect, the property is beautiful and clean. Unfortunately, we are unable to give it the five stars we would like to give due to a few bad apples on the staff and perhaps and overworked cleaning staff.

Overall, a pleasant stay. The staff was very courteous and friendly. The laundry room was under repairs, so I couldn't wash clothes. The gym was very nice, and had lots of equipment for a good workout.

Me and a few girlfriends stayed here for a few days. Pool was a good time even with the sprinkle of a few rain drops. Staff was great and friendly but kitchen/restaurant was very short staff. Food was decent. Bartender was great and fun. I would stay here again.

Horrible.. It started off first no rooms available for check in in, this happened the next day we noticed as well. Around 1am our first night, I heard a very loud dripping by the a/c and window. I assumed our a/c froze, but when I got up and looked. It was coming from the floor above. The drapes were stain and the ceiling was stained. The towel I put down to try stop the dripping sound all night long was completely soaked. This has had to be going on for a long time. So that morning I went to the desk around 9am. They said they had no rooms available but would get one in the afternoon. By the time I got back to the room, the drape and rod fell out of the ceiling along with ceiling texture the area clearly had mold. We left for the day, came back around 3pm and still no room, left at 4 still no room. We didn't get our room til we arrived back that evening at 10:30m. To move a 4yr old and all your stuff at 10:30pm was a treat. When we checked out still no resolution for the room. I always got the "I'm not the manager I cant make a decision" and the Manager never called me back, I had to call the hotel back after hotels.com couldn't get a differentAwful customer service for what we had to deal with. Definitely not the standard I would assume that would come with Doubletree or Hilton brand.. TOTALLY DON'T RECOMMEND.

Disgusting property. I wish I had the option to post pictures with this review. The property is old and dirty. The bathroom was so disgusting and very unclean and unsanitary. I plan to submit a complaint with pictures to Hilton. The room that we were placed in should not even be available to guests. I’ve never had this experience at the Doubletree.

The room had a weird mold like smell. The bathroom was not clean and had hair all over the floor. There was a bubble coming out of the ceiling over the tub. The USB by by the nightstand was broken and the room itself was very dusty. Not very well maintained. I would never stay there again.

Reserved a pack n play when booking and there wasn’t one available at check in. Okay, we’ll survive. The lobby was very nice and clean but it didn’t match the cleanliness of the room. My wife/kids found a roach in the bathroom which was disgusting. The tub was stained and wouldn’t drain. The shower curtain was too short for the tub so every time you take a shower the bathroom would pretty much flood. Carpet and furniture were stained, walls had markings on them, light switch was broken and the comforter was ripped, allowing feathers to spew out, and the doors into rooms were damaged. The front desk did say we could switch rooms but after traveling all day, the wife and kids were tired to change rooms. Overall, for a double tree hotel, it wasn’t up to par.

Room was filthy, not cleaned, even the walls had food or filth smudges on them. The hotel smelled of weed and we got woken up to our neighbors doing things children shouldn’t hear at 630 am. Told the front staff and they just said sorry. Didn’t try to fix the problems or offer a partial refund. WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE AGAIN UNTIL HILTON CORRECTS THIS MAJOR PROBLEM!

I paid up for a room with outdoor balcony only for that balcony to be completely unusable. The space had not been cleaned in a very long. Fat spiders, their prey debris, old webs, tree and pollen debris...who wants to sit in that? Because I was only at the hotel to shower and sleep and because my family and I received excellent customer service at the front desk and gave me extra towels multiple times without issue. Please clean all spaces included in the price of the room that you expect people to pay for. Walls and ac vents etc should be cleaned periodically. Overall for my short stay, my needs were met.

The Good: The initial front desk agent was courteous and welcoming. The gym was decent enough to support a fair workout for someone on a short vacation. The crab dip (a late night snack) was good and the server brought us extra crackers when we ran out. The water pressure for the shower was excellent. Checking out was easy. The morning coffee (set out at 6:30AM) wasn\'t bad at all. The location was convenient for all of our travels (in all directions). The bad: When we arrived, (after 3:00pm) we had to wait for a room (they weren\'t "ready). The agent I was working with left her shift and was replaced by another front desk agent who ignored the fact that we (my friend and I) were waiting for a room and proceeded to deal with another customer, she deemed "1st in line". That customer then informed her we were first in line. This was a mild annoyance. The A/C ran all the time - it could not cool the room - the controls were locked and the room thermostat served NO purpose- (the less than adequate coolness of the air was likely due to low a refrigerant charge - I\'m familiar with troubleshooting A/C systems). The toilet roll hanger broke - we informed the front desk, the agent claimed it would be fixed on the 1st day (it remained broken throughout our 2 day stay). There was only ONE trashcan in the bathroom and it was small There was no maid service - we had to ask the front desk for new towels each day and leave dirty ones in the room (no pickup).

We booked a room at the DoubleTree in Columbia, SC for one night. When we opened the door to our room we thought the heat was on. The thermostat showed 81 degrees. I turned it down and waited an hour nothing changed. I went to the lobby and explained the problem and they sent the maintenance man to check the air conditioner. He worked on the unit and thought he had it fixed. We waited almost an hour and still no change. I went back to the lobby and told them that there was no change, just hot air coming from the unit. They told me to set the thermostat down to 60, which I did but it didn’t change a thing. The room was so hot that we couldn’t sleep!! It was the worst experience of our vacation!!!

First, let’s start by saying I will not stay there again. The young lady that worked the front desk Friday morning showed no empathy at all. I booked 3 days through Expedia and I showed her my receipt. She still had me to pay for a third day. I didn’t have time to go back and forth with her because I had to be somewhere soon. I will dispute that charge .

The hospitality of the entire staff was amazing! They let me check in early, and made accommodations to my stay with ease and with the most pleasant of attitudes. My son was graduating from basic training, and that’s there reason for my stay…and they were very courteous to him and congratulated him with kindness.

This was 1 of 2 4 star hotels in the city, that is why I chose it. We were supposed to have adjoining rooms, but in one of the rooms, the sink didn’t drain and the phone didn’t work. The other part of our party was moved to a different floor to find a functional room. During our 3 night stay, our room was NEVER serviced. We were told after the first night that we had to request that the room be serviced, but it still didn’t happen. When we requested clean towels, it took 3 calls and a visit to the desk. After the second night, it took 5 requests over the course of the day. The staff overall, didn’t seem to care. Will not stay there again and would not recommend.

Manager has a terrible attitude, I call down for towels (as the housekeeper told me to do) and after waiting about 40 minutes I called again to see if I need to come down and get them myself because it had been about 45 minutes waiting for some towels… the manager says with a nasty attitude “no it has not been 45 minutes it’s only been 30 minutes” as if that were more acceptable… it’s towels not food

Hotel is located close to the highway which was very convenient. Restaurant onsite and close by with shopping options with in 15 mile radius. My only complaints are the the room was very dusty and one of the lights didn't work by the bed. Rooms could use a touch up around rusty areas. The hotwater is on point and the bed was comfortable with nice firm pillows. I would stay here again If into soul food, check out KiKi's Chicken and Waffles.

Most notable negatives were the cleanliness of the shower, stained lampshade, and the terrible service at the onsite restaurant, where I waited for 40 minutes to collect a to-go order of 2 side items. Apart from that, the hotel was reasonably clean and comfortable. All other staff members I encountered were both friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was good, the room was nice, and the shower was HUGE! Also, all of the staff I encountered were very friendly. I will return. I attended a banquet on Saturday night at the Conference Center and the vegan option was really good. The only recommendation I have is please add antibacteria wipes in the gym to clean the equipment before use.

Very polite staff from check in to check out. Room was nice and clean. Bed not the most comfortable but ok. Convenient dining area with bar. Food was very good. Only negative thing was breakfast was not included. $16.99 USD for buffet per person. G & J from Canada.

Located right off I20 and not too far from I26. The bathroom needs a remodel specifically the shower floor tiles. Beds were comfortable and room was overall clean. Don't waste money on breakfast. It was not worth the 15 bucks. Crackle Barrel is a 5 minute drive.

Restaurant was great with excellent food rooms were comfortable and showers had high spouts(I'm tall) and the pressure was amazing. Will stay here on next visit for sure. BTW you get a hot cookie when you check in!!
