Super 8 by Wyndham Gainesville TX

The outside enviroment was questionable. The back door required a door key to enter the hotel however it didn't lock so any one could come in. There were a group of people behind the hotel smoking and drinking which didn't seem to be very safe. The BED was very uncomfortable because the mattress was so hard we felt like we were sleeping on a concrete slab. We had to end out trip early because of the room.

Great hotel and excellent service

We are a retired couple. Any of you who have followed previous posts know that I'm usually not a negative poster. Unless it's bad like really bad I immediately regretted my decision to stay there when I arrived at the property, and then the unfriendly check in process I also didn't feel safe . I would have never purposely.Put my wife in this hotel. I would have just eaten my hundred and twenty dollars and gone to a different hotel.If we weren't already meeting other people who are also staying at this hotel. The other seniors who checked in at the same time.We did at check in time also witnessed the same behaviors of antagism from the staff. On Sunday are we all over slept in and in a period of 4 minutes. They called knocked on the door called knocked on the door again for us to leave. it was only The rooms of the senior citizens because there was no one else in the lobby being rushed but the senior citizens trying to organize themselves after getting bum rushed out of their room at 11:07 am. No cleaning crew in sight by the way. The 3 or four people in the unfriendly lobby. Watch me and another gentleman and another lady bring in like twelve bags, never offering to help just looking at us. And the next morning, when their bum rushed us out of there, did any of them offer to help carry the bags in a 105 heat, to our that would be NO I Could add more, but y'all would think that I was just making that, up but i'm not

We’ve stayed at this Super 8 several times before. Always consistent, clean, and helpful staff. Beds are comfortable, and some mentioned road noise, but we did not notice it. Breakfast is waffles, toast, yogurt, bananas, and clementine oranges. Coffee available only in the morning. No coffee maker in the room. Will stay here again as it is clean and very reasonable.

Room was as nice as any mid priced room. Updated, clean, with safe, fridge, and microwave. Desk for laptop, etc. Breakfast was typical of most motels. Motel was older. ( I stayed there 25 years ago) but was updated, and well kept. Italian restaurant next door. Also a gas station with the usual fare. Minor TV problem promptly fixed by staff.
