Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Gainesville by IHG

Customer service was wonderful, and the place was clean. Only issue was that the 2nd elevator was not working so it took longer than usual to wait for the one elevator.

The pool was cold and could use some cleaning.

The lock on pool was broken & couldn’t access pool. Kids were disappointed they couldn’t swim. Front desk wouldn’t open the door for us. Carpets were dirty. Couldn’t walk bare footed on carpet without having to wash feet before getting in bed.

Room was clean an comfortable. The pool needed cleaned it had a terrible smell.

Jets in jetted tub did not work. No cold water. Low water pressure. Dirty pool. Air Conditioner did not work. Had to purchase a fan.

Nice area right off the freeway. Clean room with comfortable bed and pillows. Enjoyed the indoor pool but would have been better if was heated in the jacuzzi part. Overall was a good experience and will stay there again.

Looks like it was recently econo lodge or something similar. Not quite at Holiday Inn standards. Smells musty and just not the average Holiday Inn. It wasn’t super bad but not super good. Noisy place. I would not stay at this Holiday Inn again Pool wasn’t available but hotels.com didn’t advise me when I booked. The coffee was great.

We booked this hotel just for the pool, which ended up being dirty, not heated, low water, and had bugs in it and everywhere else in the room. The rest of the hotel looked as if it had not been maintained very well. The TV didn’t work, the elevator was dirty, and on top of it it was noisy at night. Not a pleasant stay. Have always had great experiences with Holiday Inn Express, but not this time. Will not stay here again.

Water damage in hallway. We could hear water dripping behind one of the walls all night long in our room. And either a water bug or roach scurried through a crack in the wall.

Hotel overall is dirty. Room was dirty and to top It off our ac was making alot of noise and not working at all.

This hotel is Holiday Inn by name and price, but more like a run down low quality dirty place to stay.

This place was filthy. Absolutely disgusting. The shower had mold there were bugs in the room. The tv did not work. The room in the photos are not at all what you will receive. This place is a health hazard. I will be reporting it to the health department and disputing with my credit card company.

It was an amazing stay! The room was huge and very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and I slept very well. The area was quiet, breakfast was good and there were no issues at all. The price and value was very reasonable. I just wish I had a reason to stay longer.

Disappointing stay. Had a confirmation for a room with a King bed, but got two Queen beds. Power shade on the window was broken so no daylight in room. Being near the casino allows them to charge a high rate for a mediocre room that needs updating. The lady at the front desk was nice.

Hotel was rough around the edges. Needs minor maintenance/painting. The window blinds in our room was broken and did not work. Could not open the blinds.

Beds were comfortable. Did have problem at first with the TV. All staff were very nice and helpful. Only emptied our trash once during the stay. But I would stay there again.

We rented the suite and it was perfect. The 6 of us had plenty of space, it was nice.

Service was amazing. Super friendly but our room was very hot, like a furnace. We asked them to check the AC and they quickly did. They then advised we would need to switch rooms, which was no problem, but the 2nd room was just as bad. It’s almost as if the AC units have some sort of dampener to make them only run 1-2 minutes.

My stay was terrible. I paid for two rooms. Checked in at 330. Went to the casino until 11. When we got back and tried to go to our room there was a man and dog in my room. He was so sketchy. He didn’t have any luggage but said he was given that room. I went down stairs freaked out and all they wanted to say is they could give me another room. I felt so unsafe!! They did not care. I still have not recieved a refund.

It was horrible. We were put in a room who someone had already been checked into. I noticed, as I started to use the restroom and I see a shaving kit and a woman’s makeup bag. No one was in the room thankfully because we could’ve got shot. However, they showed up very shortly. The front desk worker was laughing it off. He then tried to put my party of five in a room of four when we paid for a room of six when we let him know that that was unacceptable. He then kicked the other party out of their room so that we could have the room that slept six. Thankfully, they had just sat down their stuff and went to WinStar and the room hadn’t been used to much however, this is the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. We felt very unsafe, considering that perhaps he would give access to anyone to get into the room when the rest of my party arrived. He said oh, are you with the bridal party and gave them keys not even checking with us. We ended up not even going to winstar because someone was asleep and we were afraid to leave them alone. It ruined our entire trip. We have gotten no refund and no call from the manager. This is absolutely unacceptable. I took pictures of all of their stuff as well so I will leave the photos for “photos of my stay.”

Handy to the Interstate highway.

Be aware of all the road construction, if you miss your turn you may have to travel 10 miles down the road to be able to turn around.

Convenient to restaurants and highway.

The Hotel is pretty run down nice location but needs a lot of work! Very close to WinStar to celebrate my BFF,s 60th BD

No fault of the hotel, but the interstate nearest the property was undergoing major road work and the exit from the north was not well marked at all. Miss it and you get to travel an extra 7 miles because there aren't any open exits to turn around.

Room was nice and beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly. I know it’s nothing to do with the hotel but the road construction made it a little tricky to get to the parking lot.

Good location, except for the highway construction currently going on!

I loved have a mini fridge, microwave, and a Keurig in our room! The beds are kinda hard but I didn’t wake up hurting so I guess not as hard as I thought. The free breakfast made it all worth it!

Could had been better running water from shower for 2 nights breakfast was a joke better be there when it opens will not last long they did not restock.

Employees working breakfast, all three of them, pretended not to know a lick of english they were serving raw bacon and the oatmeal had 5 inches of water on top of it. Scares me bcs if you can speak you prob cant read english and they are cooking food

Everything was great except the humidity smell in the building, my sofa didn’t leave no blanket or sheets for it Breakfast was good, love oatmeal but pancakes machine was not working,we had omelette and biscuits and gravy as hot items and cinnamon roll. Staff at check in was great. They provided water when asked, it was nice. I would be back
