The house was beautiful and very clean. We all enjoyed it. The fenced back yard was great for our dogs. The location was convenient as well. The Internet was very spotty and didn’t work consistently enough to watch TV. The cost for dogs is 50 per dog per night. The listing says a fee will be assessed, but we didn’t find out how much it was until a few days before we were arriving.

Subject: Formal Complaint – Severe Ladybug Infestation During Stay (Simple Life Hospitality) Dear Expedia/VRBO Customer Service I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding a property I reserved through Expedia/VRBO for our Memorial Day weekend stay (May 24–26, 2025). Upon arrival, one of the bedrooms—intended for our three children—was found to be heavily infested with over 150 ladybugs. They were on the walls, ceilings, beds, towels, and even in the bathroom. It was impossible for our children to sleep in the room due to the overwhelming presence of insects. We spent the evening removing ladybugs and trying to calm our children, which completely disrupted our vacation. I’ve attached a photo as evidence. This is far beyond what can be considered a seasonal issue, and the condition of the room was not acceptable for any guest. Additionally, this raises serious concerns about whether the room was properly cleaned before our arrival. If cleaning had been done on the day of check-in, it would have been impossible to miss such a heavy infestation. This only adds to our disappointment and frustration. I already contacted the property manager, Simple Life Hospitality, but I have not received a satisfactory resolution or offer of compensation.
