Hampton Inn Charleston-Southridge

Desk staff was wonderful & very friendly! I cannot say enough for how simple they made check-in and answered my questions. Room was very clean & comfortable - one of the first rooms I've ever checked into that wasn't set on 74 Heat LOL So I do appreciate the staff keeping the guests in mind. Indoor pool was clean, though the hot pool could have been skimmed for some small bugs, but otherwise was very nice. The breakfast choices were great for a continental breakfast. I liked the options of different waffle batters and juices, and the eating area was kept very clean. The potatoes & sausage were tasty for a quick breakfast. This hotel is in a great location if you need to be in Charleston, but don't want to be in the middle of town and still have some breathing room. You're close to so many restaurants as well as shopping stores like Target. Will definitely be staying here the next time I need to be in Charleston!

We had zero hot water in the morning and a broken shower handle. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful, except when I tried to call the front desk for help with a toilet problem we had as well, I couldn't get anyone to answer so I had to go look for help. The breakfast was okay, but not great. Everything was very clean though.
