Oasis Aurum 181 Hotel

My go to stay in Hong Kong, convenient to local eateries, mass transit, and grocery shopping. Away from the hubbub of Central but only an easy 15 mins by tram. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and free laundry facilities are always a plus.

The pics on Expedia made the hotel seem nicer/less dated but the views were amazing. Gym was better than some hotels. Appreciated the free self-laundry option.

Clean and spacious room, we booked the harbor view room and the view was spectacular; polite and helpful consiege helped us carry luggage. The hotel also has a self-service free laundry room.

I had a very pleasant stay. The staff is helpful and friendly. The room is nicely appointed and very clean. The gym and laundry a great facility since I was staying for 20 day. The surrounding area is quiet but very convenient to the metro station. I would come back for my next trip to HK.

Room is nice and staff is very friendly and attentive. The amenities include a self-laundry room, entertainment room with video games and pool table, and a gym. Our experience unfortunately was affected by other guests who took the kids to play around in the gym while we were doing our workouts. The kids (all under 10), were playing with the weights, climbing into the machines and running around, sometimes with their parents, sometimes just by themselves. This situation happened 3 days in a row, and even though the cleaning personnel saw them and we complaint, no one came to talk to the parents. Its not only disrespectful but also dangerous to have unsupervised kids in a gym with other guests working out.

I absolutely loved my experience at this hotel—it looked even better than the photos! The staff were incredibly friendly, making our stay all the more enjoyable. The spacious room with an epic panoramic sea view was a highlight, and my son loved it so much he didn’t want to leave. The hotel offers fantastic amenities, including free access to a laundry machine, entertainment area, and a well-equipped gym on the 5th floor. The neighborhood is vibrant, with a variety of food options nearby—definitely worth exploring! Thank you for an unforgettable stay. I’ll definitely be back!

Great view. Nice clean gym with view. There is a nice lounge area in the same floor as gym which was unfortunately closed for our entire stay for some reason (even though pandemic is over).

We have stayed 7 nights in total. Friendly and accommodating staff at all level. Especially the staff at the front entrance. Keeping very clean in all areas. Shuttle bus services are excellent. Whenever you need help,they will be there for you. Short distances to bus,Tram and MTR stations. The equipment at the Gym are excellent. Overall comments are excellent.

Stunning harbour view. Spacious spotless room. Courteous and helpful staff. Nice to have a clean bathroom with ventilation switch that helps prevent mildew.

Good view but messy window, my bathroom was also dirty when I check-in with things on the mirror, sink and a clogged bathroom/sink that had an odour clearly from the drain; the shower drain being so clogged, the dirty water would reach up to the top of my foot. Felt like a risk fungus or athletes foot.

If you're staying below floor 10, you'll prob hear highway noise, and the view is pretty bad. Yes, you can see plenty of water, but also a big industrial distribution center in front of it. Rooms are moderately maintained, the toilet water looked dirty/unflushed but after several flushes, it's just very murky toilet water. There was trash in the trash bin when I first came in. They have toothbrushes but no lotion or anything else. Phone doesn't work. Windows kinda dirty. Small bottled water asks for a donation of $1, cans of local beverages in the mini fridge didn't have a price or any sign that said free. Staff was somewhat rude when I asked for possibility of room change and didn't carry through promise to give me a new key. Near bus and tram, but MTR is a bit of a walk, don't be fooled by how close the entrance is, there's walking once inside the station. All in all, this is a good low cost, somewhat value/luxury stay, but def not anywhere near the mainstream stays at Marriotts, Icons, Shangri-La's when their pricing is normal (e.g., not holiday weekend for China, when all the mainlanders travel to Hong Kong). Generally, good choice if the usual good choices are overpriced or out of rooms due to holidays, but prob wouldn't stay again because maintenance, location, and staff training aren't as good as the alternatives.

Would stay here again! Great location, easy access to buses and trams, convenient restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Room was modern, spotless, and spacious. Incredible views of the harbor. Staff was very kind and helpful.

We had stayed here twice during Covid -- a total of five weeks' quarantine over two stays -- so it was nice to return during a normal time. The hotel is (still) very clean and well kept as are the rooms. The staff are pleasant and eager to please. It is convenient to public transport and they offer a free shuttle to Central. Half the price of a big brand hotel in Central. Well worth a stay!

The front office staff spoke very clear English and was very graceful when handling my issues. Housekeeping also was courteous with handling my concerns, and using a translation app we were able to converse well. I was concerned with some of the hardware. My first room the rolling blinds were stuck so the curtains did not close. My second room the air vent in the bathroom was dusty had some white fluffy something, and some odor. I was worried what could fall on my tooth brush…Another concern about housekeeping - I wasn’t too happy with how not-so-clean the cups and plates were, and the fact they refilled soap and 2 toothbrushes everyday. I collected probably 4 bars of soap and 8 toothbrushes in 6 nights… I really didn’t need that many. My taxi was always confused of where to drop me off when I arrived at the front… would be great to have some drop-off space

The view is not perfect because it’s in front of a terminal and a wholesale food market, but still is great. The light buttons could have smarter combinations. It could definitely have more storage with drawers. That was a big miss. Unforced error. If this was right I would give a solid 5 stars. Overall very happy with it.

Overall, the hotel is really nice. Rooms are spacious and well furnished and the beds are very comfy. No issues during our stay whatsoever and the location is pretty good too. Close to a lot of coffee shops and food places nearby. The only thing I wish the room had is a decent sized mirror in the room whilst getting ready.

WiFi was terrible. If you want to make any video calls, be prepared to talk to pixels. WhatsApp video call, Messenger call, etc. - “forget about it.” Despite the third-world speed of the WiFi, it was a pleasant stay. The cleaning lady was sweet and very friendly. She was super enthusiastic about making sure you still have enough supplies and making sure your room is in tip-top condition. Oh printing was such a hassle. It took three hours to get a printing job done. How hard was it for them to call up and said, “We don’t have color printing.” I called twice before finally going down to confront them about it. During those calls, they just kept insisting they’re working on it but wouldn’t tell me that they didn’t have color printing. Only when I went downstairs out of frustration did I learn that they didn’t “finish” the job because they didn’t have colors. But after I asked where could I get color printing, somehow they took pity on me and decided to print my documents….in colors?! So they did have color printing this entire time! Then why with all of this stalling?!!! Ok other than that hiccup, the stay was pleasant. Room was nice, and bathroom was well- designed. Bed was comfy, too. Overall, if your reason to come to HK is for business and you require good WiFi and printing, go to another place. But if you just need a nice bed and comfortable amenities, than this place gets the job done.

Good location close to MTR and nice view from room

cleaning lady and bellhop all very nice. all of the front desk staff needs more training. terrible attitude. would not come back solely because of the middle aged man with round glasses. it’s as if i’m begging him to check me in and check me out. do you own this hotel? check your attitude and come back to work when you are ready to put a smile on your face and service guests like your supposed to.

We had a great time staying at the hotel. Not only we got a free upgrade, the staff are very professional and we felt very welcome during the full stay in the hotel. High recommend everyone to checkout this hotel when you visit HK. Next time when we are back we will book this hotel again!

Helpful staff, very good concierge staff

This an excellent hotel and we have no issues at all with the property or staff. Everything and everyone just very, very good. We like the room, bathroom and fluffy big towels. Many dining options just a couple of minutes’ walk from the hotel. Very easy to get around on public transportation but since we are an older couple, we mainly chose taxis which are plentiful and not too expensive. It would be nice to have a full length mirror in the room. Highly recommend this hotel and we would stay again the next time /we visit Hong Kong.

Excellent service and extreme friendly staff. My wife and I spent the last 5 night in this hotel on our anniversary. The staff are very friendly. Front desk very accommodating. The bell captain Max is very passionate. He not only gave us advice on local eateries and directions to get there. When we do not have the coins for the tram fare, he pulled several coins from his own pocket to give us for the fare. It is beyond the call of duty. the kindness and generosity out of this world. It is a reflection this young man has a very kind and warm heart and made us feel very good about our staying. The young man, Bruce, is very helpful in getting us a taxi and loading our baggage on our departure. All in all, very excellent experience and a complete satisfaction on our stay. We’ll be back.

I loved my stay! The place was clean and the harbour view was beautiful. Special shout out to the staff. Particularly Bruce Lui and Genxi Fung who took such good care of me.

Reasonably placed and only a quick walk to tram for centre. Quite quiet so not too many bars/restaurants nearby.

Very spacious room with a great location to various food and transport options

Property was in pristine condition, the staff were super helpful and welcoming (particularly the cleaning staff). The rooms were much bigger than the usual HK size, and are well designed, equipped and cleaned. Location was great, close to tram stop and MTR station (HKU). The only downside is it is quite close to a harbour logistic centre / motorway, so if you pick a harbour room make sure to go for the higher floors.

I very nice property, the staff were super friendly. A little bit far from the action but you can tell this is an upcoming area. We enjoyed eating locally and downtown was only a short cab ride or a 20-30 minute walk.

가성비 좋은 숙소에요... 홍콩에서 이 가격으로.. 오션뷰에... 저만한 사이즈의 방에서 지내기는 쉽지 않죠... 트램역에서 매우 가깝고.. 지하철역도 가까워서.. 좋았어요.. 센트럴페리 터미널까지도.. 도보로 이동가능하니... 컨디션 좋은날에는 걷고 그렇지 않은날에는 대중교통 이용했습니다. 너무 복잡하지 않은 곳에 위치해서.. 저에게는 참 좋은 장소였습니다... 홍콩을 자주 다니는 편인데. 이쪽에서의 숙박은 처음이었거든요.. 매우 만족합니다.

All staff are amazing , helpful , polite , knowledgeable Location - 9 mins walk to closest mtr station Sai Ying Pun and another 9 mins walk underground to get to train , not exactly the most convenient but good for walking after much dining in HK Good location , easy to get to CWB, central admiralty and even ocean park ! Didn’t get the harbour view though , but bed was king-sized so am happy Weighing scale has no more battery , no full length mirror in room All other facilities , amenities , service are tip top !

There was nowhere to have a quick meal. The new restaurant within the hotel was awful and only served tasting menu!! We tried continental breakfast and I give them zero star. The laundry facility was the best on this six week tour .

We loved everything about our stay. Our room was exceptionally clean and very spacious. We stayed on a high floor facing the water and the view was breathtaking, especially during sunrise. This was the first of 5 hotels we stayed at during our trip and we felt that it was the only hotel/apartment that had vents providing "clean" air in Hong Kong. The restaurant at the property was also exeptional. Highly recommend their chicken claypot rice. The only downfall would be the property's location - it is obviously not as convenient as other hotels located in TST or Central for example. However, the hotel is still very close to many good restaurants, grocery stores etc. and a short walk to/from the MTR. The property's location would not deter us from staying here again. Highly recommend.

Stay at Oasis Aurum 181 Hotel was great! Quiet environment and cozy room. Staff at breakfast buffet was very kind and my 2 year old son loved them!

Such a great stay. All the staff were very polite and quick to serve. We arrived at breakfast at 8:30am and many of the dishes were empty but that was our only complaint. We would stay again.

滿意執房同事阿珊, 每次物品都很齊備, 還會記得我每個要求, 很有經驗也很用心. 前台ZOE及高個子經理(?)安排很貼心, 服務也很到位, 所以續訂了房間兩次, 住了差不多1個月也很滿意! The Praya餐點選擇不多, 3點後沒有room service, 感覺很不方便, 有待改善! 海景套房要25樓景觀才像樣, 希望下次能安排得到!

On my second night in the hotel room service managed to throw away my nintendo switch pro controller that I had resting on the night stand. It became a huge deal where the hotel helped search the entire room multiple times and eventually the police had to get involved. At the end of it all, I was short a controller and the hotel refused to recompense me. Instead, the manager at the time informed me that all guests at the hotel evidentially receive "3 meals for free," I was just never informed of this until my belongings were stolen. I was staying at the hotel with my fiancee and splurged a bit for a better room, and we thought we could have three free meals to cover the controller costs. Evidentially, three meals meant we could only have 1.5 meals per the each of us, and the hotel forced us to return my ordered dinner the next day. They also refused to let one of the complimentary meals be the 35 USD roasted duck, evidentially because it was too expensive. Still less than the controller I lost, but the hotel didn't care. Considering what I was paying for the hotel room and how cheap a nintendo controller is, they handled the situation poorly and immaturely. There were also other weird incidents like alarms going off in the middle of the night and strangers knocking on my door at 2:30 am. The view was beautiful from my room, but this is the worst service I've ever experienced at a hotel, and you should stay away too until they learn how to treat guests.

하버뷰 객실이였는데 호텔이 길을 건너 있어서 아래를 내려다보면 트램 집합소랑 창고들이 보여서 좋은 뷰는 아니였습니다. 호텔 근처에는 재활용업체들이 많아서 좀 어수선해습니다. 그리고 객실이 너무 추웠고, 샤워기 수압이 약했습니다. 조식은 룸으로 가져다줬는데 이틀을 묵는동안 메뉴가 똑같고 너무나 간단해서 실망했습니다.홍콩 물가가 비싸서 호텔도 비싸게 예매했는데 4성급이라고 표시되어있는거 치고는 3성급 보다 못한 느낌이였습니다. 직원들은 친절해서 그나마 위안이 되었습니다

Desde la reservación que era pay at propperty nos estuvieron pidiendo una tarjeta que les habíamos enviado con la reserva pero como era e-tarjeta por protección de nuestro banco en internet y no metieron a tiempo la tarjeta nos estuvieron enviando mails que no podíamos contestar por encontrarnos en Bali. Llegando a decirnos que nuestra reserva estaba comprometida. Total pudimos enviar una foto de la tarjeta por e-mail pocos días antes de llegar. Al momento de hacer el Review del Check in puse este detalle al día siguiente Bono Yu Front Office Manager quiso disculparse pero más que una disculpa fue una excusa ya que al momento de registrarnos nos pidieron otra tarjeta para cobrar la cuenta y nos dijeron que la otra que por cierto habían cobrado dos noches con ella la dejarían de depósito con devolución en 15 días. Eso con lo que respecta a la reserva. El hotel tiene manchas en la alfombra del cuarto y uno de los días de estancia no hicieron el aseo del cuarto, la cafetera no funcionaba bien y el desayuno era muy malo y siempre lo mismo. En resumen este no es un hotel de cuatro estrellas por mucho.

Great views of Victoria Harbour. Great location for local eats and transportation. Staff is excellent. Handy laundry facilities. Unfortunately one of the restaurants was closed my whole stay
