We stayed here the week before as we were passing through and the stay was just alright. The second time we came through the front desk staff gave us a premium room away from the noise. Breakfast was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. Also has a pretty decent work out room. Will stay again when passing through!

I stayed four nights, and my room was cleaned every day! The property was spotless, and the staff was friendly. The parking lot is well-lit at night, and I felt safe. Waited 45 minutes checking in because of discrepancy of $7.00 between hotel and hotels.com They did not plow or shovel snow prior to or after snowstorm. Even entrance to lobby was not shoveled and had large ice chunks to walk through. The sign in the lobby said the hotel not responsible for any slips or falls. (The handicapped parking area was not plowed and no sidewalk visible- so don’t go here if you are handicapped) Walkway in front of rooms was not even shoveled or salted. Beds were hard and not very comfortable. Toilet leaked from base when I sat on it. Overall, we were probably only one of 4 rooms occupied on a weekend in the Rockford area. I will not stay here again.

The room was clean and comfortable. The Econo Lodge is next to I 94 which made for easy overnight access. Our room was on the back side, and there was no road noise. We parked our car right outside our door. We had our dog with us, and it was easy to use the grassy area across the parking area

The rooms have been poorly renovated at some point. The tile on the floor was coming up and a poor attempt to fix it was made. It caused a tripping hazard and was uncomfortable to walk on. The toilet was wobbly, I felt like I was gonna fall over when using it. The elevator was outside which wasn’t described in the description, the mattress was hard and the pillows were the size of throw pillows for the couch. Ice machine was broken on our floor and we had to go all the way to 1sr floor outside to get ice. There was an infestation of ants outside by the exit door leading to the outside elevator.

They did not shovel any walkways. Had to walk through about 2 inches of snow up the stairs to get to our rooms. Also, the sidewalks by the doors to the rooms were covered in ice.

Second time staying here plus booked again for return trip. Hotel is very clean and designed to help it stay clean. It’s safe with lots of security cameras. Bed was comfortable. Fresh paint and digital heating and cooling controls. Black out curtains worked well. Great location. No reason to pay more. Clerks are very helpful.

The floors in my room were extremely dirty. I thought it was sticky because it was warm yesterday, but then I looked at my feet after I took a shower and they were discolored. I turned in all the lights and saw just how dirty the floors were. I told them when I checked out and they guy just said “Ok thank you”

The hotel was nice. Definitely an older hotel, but it was fully renovated. Breakfast options were typical of a hotel, rooms small, and bathroom really small but it served its purpose. My only complaint is several ppl reviewed that the beds were comfortable and they are not. They weren’t the worst hotel beds but they weren’t word either . They’re were like sleeping on cotwith a little bit of give. I woke up very sore the next day and I have a bad back and hips. For that reason alone I will not stay here again.

The floor was in terrible shape! The laminate floor was a mess! It was chipped and raised up, A tripping hazard. How could the floors be cleaned? My room was very noisy, the clerk said it would be quiet even if it was overlooking the hwy. Not true, it was very noisy. I can say was disappointed with my stay.

I enjoyed my stay at Econo Lodge. As a single female traveler I felt safe and really appreciated getting a first floor room. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean. The only complaint I had was whoever was upstairs from me were noisy with walking heavily on the floor. A bit annoying.. otherwise I plan to come back next year when I'm in town. Thank you!

Booked for one night while passing through the area. The room itself was clean and adequate. However, there were only 3 things pillows for two people. Also we had to switch rooms... The door wouldn't unlock to get into the guest room ( the front desk person did come to try to open it and couldn't get it to open either) Unfortunately, the same thing happened to us in the second room when we were trying to leave. We had a hard time collecting our luggage which was trapped in the room. The breakfast was ok... There were no proteins. Only fruit choice was apples.

Good: Staff was nice and he gave me free upgraded to double bed room when he had extra empty rooms. The price is very reasonable and friendly. Room conditions are ok. Bad and I did not like: the hotel face highway and it is so noisy. In addition, the air conditioner is close to a bed and it makes noice and directly blows toward bed. I could not sleep entire night due to highway noise and air conditioner. In addition, breakfast has not too many choices to eat. No eggs, no yogurt, no sausage and meats。 coffee was dark color but no taste of coffee. I am sorry to mention these but the previous reviews may misguide. I chose this hotel based on reviews but actually not true.

Male checking me in was rude and unprofessional. Was on phone apparently trying to resolve a refund issue for someone and never paused that call to check me in. Had me sign in, told me it was the same room as last time and gave me the key card. A/C wasn't on in room and temp was 84. I could not figure out the wall thermostat. I hadn't needed to do anything previous stay as it was on when I got there. Several calls to desk gave me busy signal so I went back down. I use a walker. He was sitting on the chair with his feet up and immediately said "I told you you could call!" No he did not give me any of the usual instructions when I checked in. Apparently, since I had stayed there once before, a few weeks prior, it wasn't worth his time since the phone call was more important, I guess. When I told him what the issue was, he responded" You were here before!" I explained I hadn't had to deal with it last time as it was already on. He then grabbed a sheet showing the wall thermostat and showed which buttons to use. Perhaps that info would be of more use in the room. As I followed along and repeated the instructions, he became disgusted and angrily said he'd come up to the room. He stormed in, hastily stabbed at the buttons, setting the temp to 61 and then said, "There now you won't be too warm!". Absolutely unacceptable behavior. I am returning to Rockford in a couple months and will definitely not be staying there again.

I always check a hotel room before bringing my luggage in, and this visit was no exception. Unfortunately, the first room I was given reeked of marijuana. I returned to the front desk and requested a different room, which they provided without issue. When I tried to access the second room, the key didn’t work. I had to go back to the office again, where the manager issued a new key and walked over to make sure it worked. However, when I asked for the new key, the manager responded with, “Do you know the difference between a red light and a green light on a door?” His tone came across as very condescending, which left a negative impression despite his effort to resolve the issue. Once inside the room, I noticed old candy wrappers in the garbage, and the interior looked like it had received the typical “landlord special” — a sloppy paint job with little attention to detail. Outside the room, there seemed to be a large amount of marijuana usage in the surrounding area, which made me feel uncomfortable for much of my stay. The breakfast was also disappointing. It consisted of only cereal, pastries, milk, and water. The juice dispenser was completely empty, and there was no batter available for the waffle maker. Overall, it felt like very little effort was put into providing a decent breakfast.

I wasn't to crazy about standing in a small hallway in line with a half dozen other people but it was after 8:00pm and I suppose there is a reason why the night check in window is in use. The manager was in very polite and professional.check in for me at least was fast. I can see why extra security is used considering some other guests. The room was nice and clean but we did not get much sleep with the noisy neighbors. Breakfast was as expected, Continental style. I might stay again but only if I can get some sleep.

Best hotel in Rockford. 5 star service at 2 star price. Felt like home (not a hotel). Hotel room clean well-stocked everything worked. Cosy small hotel. Handy location next to Hard Rock Casino buses to Downtown Rockford Chicago. Free hotel breakfast (waffles) tasted nice.

We've stayed here twice now for sports events up at Mercyhealth fields. Convenient 10 minute drive if you have early morning games. No issues with hotel. TONS of dining options as well as shopping options if you need stuff. Great location just off the highway. No complaints and would stay here again.

Solid Stay for the Price The room was in decent overall condition, and it looked like both the interior and exterior had been freshly painted, which was a nice touch. The parking was fine we had a clean room and a room with basic cable TV. Yeah everything about the hotel was just very basic nothing special at all . The free continental breakfast was just ok not a lot choices no eggs, no sausage or bagels or anything good just cereal and a toaster for toast and a waffle iron. They also had juice yogurt and coffee of course but that was it. Not much to choose from.

Older hotel, next to the highway, though noise was not an issue. Lose proximity to drive to Hard Rock Casino. Rooms on 1st and 2nd enter from outside, 3rd floor has indoor access. Check in was through a service window and lobby was closed (7pm) which was uncomfortable and made conversation with desk clerk difficult. Rooms older and could use remodel. Bed comfy. Complimentary breakfast very basic with yogurt, toast, cereal, milk, juice and 1 waffle maker.

This motel has been refreshed and is clean. The room thermostats work effectively. The rooms are small. The showers are fine. The tiny cube refrigerators are very weak. Highway & traffic noise is noticeable. Breakfast offerings are good for what’s there, but do not include any protein options. Would be nice if they offered inexpensive pre-made egg “disks” or small yogurt cups like many other competitors. Overall, a good value if the price is reasonable.
