Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Richmond I-95 South, VA

Property was decent, with location right off 95. HSKP staff very pleasant, Carpet in hallways & elevator were filthy looking, rooms were ok, but seemed like they could've been fresher in appearance and smell. Bfst was ok, waffle mix too thin/couldn't cook a proper waffle after two attempts - all items were full & plentiful - slices of bread (white/wheat) were dry/hard.

The carpets throughout especially the elevator were very worn and dirty. The toilet paper was like sandpaper.

This was a very dingey motel. Right from when we walked in, I was glad we only booked for one night. The lobby reeked of weed. The elevator carpet was absolutely disgusting. The toilet seat in the bathroom was chipped up. The bathroom grout was filthy. If I wouldn't have lost money, I would definitely have walked right back out. They are lucky that people book their stay online without seeing the place, or they would not stay in business. The breakfast area was small and crowded. There was one group of 8-10 people and one other couple that were able to sit in the tiny room where the continental breakfast was being served. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Common area’s need carpet replace….elevator carpet was filthy

Our stay was only one night, but everything was great. The staff was particularly helpful. I do have one complaint, but it doesn't affect my rating. The carpeting in the elevator was pretty disgusting, in the hallways, not so bad, but really not very good. Once you're in the room it's great.

Overall very good. I suggest you either clean or replace the carpet in the elevator. Breakfast was good. Staff was helpful.

The hotel had no ice.Needed ice for eye Meds. Ice machines in hotels should work 24/7.

I was traveling to New York from N. Carolina and was extremely exhausted. I needed some where to lay my head and this location was great. Now, the only thing that was a "drab", was there was no ice machine where it said ice/vending, also the one downstairs wasn't in service.

The room was very clean, temperature in the room was very comfortable and the guy at the front desk was very polite and extremely helpful. The room was spacious and I really liked that you could shut the bedroom door to separate the space.

The room smelled like mold. It was so humid in the room that the floor and sheets were sticky. We spent about 6 hours in the room to sleep and couldn’t wait to leave. We arrived late at night and the parking lot was shady.

Room was dirty upon arrival, stained sheets, trash left in dresser, stained curtains, phone in room didn't work, smoke alarm battery needed to be changed, I was given a battery to change it myself

When we walked into the hotel it smelled moldly/mildew. The room was terrible. We checked the mattresses and boxspring to find stains (unsure of what it was). We immediately checked out and the hotel attendant supposedly refunded us. I am waiting for the refund it should take a few days she said. For us this hotel was not acceptable. The area appears unsafe with woods and homeless holding signs by the hotel parking lot as we left.

We stayed 1 night on our way from Canada and Florida.Staff was nice, but hotel need refurbishment. Bathroom was clean but had mold. It looked clean but paint was chipping on walls and roof. My room smelled like humidity. Breakfat was complimentary, itf hmm

It’s an older property but the room was spacious, the bed comfortable and good for our needs.

The roo. was clean but.. .Air conditioner was very loud and noisy. We couldn't use the fan in the bathroom because it made a very loud squeaky noise the whole time. I feel we got the worse room in the hotel on June 28

Hotel could use some updates. Bed was hard. Room was musky smelling. The a/c didn’t seem to take the humidity out.

Towels, muffins, and staff were great. However, there was black mold in the bathroom, and our door handle came off (which was a fire safety concern).

Our room overlooked BP gas station which was busy all night and woke us. We didn't realize it would be so noisy until we were already in bed. Breakfast was ok, typical scrambled a little tough, white bread but no whole wheat, cereal, a sign for fruit medley but none. If we stay again we will ask for a quieter location.

Terrible. Walls paper thin. You hear people talking outside and in other rooms, road traffic and people’s alarms. I tried to sleep with a pillow over my head, but couldn’t. Bed sags so you roll into the other person all night. The shower curtain rod was broken so you couldn’t close the shower curtain. We picked this because it had good reviews but I don’t know where those people stayed. It couldn’t have been here. We travel a lot and it was the worst place we have stayed.

We stopped here as a layover driving down to Florida. We got to the hotel around 10 PM. The staff was very friendly, we had asked what time the breakfast buffet started the following morning and we were told 7 AM. We got down to the lobby around 6:30 AM and just popped our head in to the room and the person working in the front desk open the buffet for us early so we could eat before we left for our trip.

When first arrived to the hotel, the front desk associate was more interested in talking on the phone rather than helping me. When addressed, she reported she was taking a training class and continued while trying to help me.

Front desk people were extremely rude and uncooperative. Refused to honor the Expedia quoted price. Refused to tell me what our room would cost. Refused to print copy of room charges when we checked out. Upon reviewing Am Ex bill they billed us over $200.00 more than the Expedia quote.

Traveled to Virginia for a basketball tournament for my 14 year old daughter. It was 3 days of basketball! Staff was kind, hotel was clean, room was clean, check in went quickly, the hotel sent messages in text asking how our stay was going and if they could do anything to make it better. We never had to ask for new towels, they just replenished(my favorite part) hotel was quiet, breakfast was good, I don’t know what brand cranberry juice they supply, but I wish I did because it was some of the best. Overall we had a great stay. My only complaint would be the parking, parking lot is kind of odd for a hotel of that size and pretty small.

The front desk person was helpful. I had booked two nights, and tried to cancel the second night (@7:30... Didn't realize the cancellation time was by 7). I kept getting notes from hotels.com that they were trying to cancel. BECAUSE I was paying at the hotel, the desk clerk just charged me for the one night. Hotels.com said they were never able to get the hotel to drop the night, so I'm not sure where that fell through, but I am grateful they only charged me for one night. Everything about the room was fine, except it didn't seem very fresh... There was a slight odor. Perhaps folks were smoking nearby (against hotel policy). It wasn't overbearing, but not fresh. The beds were comfortable, and breakfast was very nice. Overall very nice, but the lack of fresh air will keep me from returning.

We really enjoyed our stay at Country Inn. The rates were reasonable, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was tasty with plenty of options for us. There were building materials stacked in the lobby; however, we figured they were doing some renovations as we noticed some areas could benefit from some finishing touches. Our only complaint was the staff. When we arrived, there was no one at the front desk. Eventually, a young lady arrived and appeared to be texting someone. She walked behind the counter and asked if I had a reservation. I replied, "yes," and her phone rang. She answered the call and left me standing there while she conversed with someone in a different language. She eventually ended her call and continued processing my check in. She never acknowledged me after that except to confirm my address and tell me to respond to information on the screen. She was neither personable nor welcoming. When I left to go to my room, my friend approached the counter and she told her the hotel was sold out. However, our entire party booked our rooms almost a month in advance. They worked that out and everyone was checked in. We did not see another human behind the desk until we checked out on Sunday morning. That gentleman was professional and friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Country Inn and Suites!

We wrote in our notes that we needed a crib/pack and play but upon arrival they said they didn’t have one available. We had to try and Co-sleep with our baby. This hotel advertised as family friendly, yet could not accommodate a family. The bathroom door knob also kept falling off. The front desk staff was cold toward us and our situation. Will not return or recommend to others with children.

The hotel itself was good, the area it was in, did not have much to offer, if you just wanted to walk somewhere. Great for an overnight while traveling I95.

It is convient to where we was going and very safe

The breakfast was the standard hotel free breakfast, the bed was comfortable, and it was easy acess to the interstate;however the hotel was not located in the best area.

Breakfast starts at 7am. Several people were waiting before 7am. Most hotels do 6 am. Would have loved non dairy milk and more gluten-free options! Hot water for tea luke warm at best, except for one time.
