Adjacent to Phillips Morris. The hotel shares a parking lot with another hotel - all are on a service road. Many trucks in/out. The road is in awful shape (potholes, etc.). There is a Starbucks and Subway. The hotel restaurant does not have enough employees, to keep up with a busy weekend night (neither does the McDonalds next door). Floors are noisy with foot traffic. Kids liked the pool!

Worst hotel experience I’ve had . The rooms were dirty and smelly. I had to switch rooms cause there was stains on the sheets. I got a new room that was worse . It had a bug smashed to the wall , we paid for two nights an only slept there one. The pool is dangerous , There is an electric junction box wide open with wires exposed , one foot from the pools water so they just put an orange cone on top of it . One splash away from death

The hotel restaurant and pool was not operational. It was a big reason why I selected this hotel. I had a one day visit and I needed a swim to help my medical condition and a place to eat without having to drive somewhere. The hotel didn’t achieve my expectations due to lack of convenience.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The only complaint I have is the pool. It was green like swamp water in the middle of August- totally unusable. Since I chose this hotel primarily because its one of the few in Richmond with an outdoor pool it was very disappointing. The management closed the pool and treated it with chemicals so hopefully the next guests to check in can use it.

The bed was the only nice thing about the stay but after seeing the disgusting towels, I now wonder if my sheets were actually clean. Both towels had giant brown stains and I had to dry off with a wash cloth. There were numerous live and dead roaches. I do not recommend this hotel and I will never patron another best western.

This was the worst hotel we’ve ever booked on Expedia. The reviews were not accurate by any means. The hotel smelled like pot throughout and the cleaning staff had sprayed massive amounts of air freshener to cover it up. There were roaches in the bathroom, and the AC sounded like a truck engine all night and left all our belongings wet. Additionally, the bathroom had mold and the bedding appeared yellow. We couldn’t leave faster. Will never stay at another Best Western and will reconsider booking through Expedia from now on.

Unpleasant. There was no heat in my room, sheets had stains, floors were dirty, and there was a red stain in the bathroom shower that I had to clean. When guests open and close their doors, it’s very loud and unsettling. I wouldn’t stay here again.

I had to get moved out of a connecting room because I could hear every single word, movement, ANYTHING in the connecting room. Once moved, I noticed was a centimeter gap in every door - even in my new room’s main door. This meant if anyone ever walked past I could easily hear it. I want to clarify - this isn’t the usual muffled noise you may hear in the next room, this sound is as if you are in a 2 room house with no door and someone is in the other room. Bed was comfortable, room was fairly clean and nice - one of my towels had some a red lipstick-like mark on it. Had to get moved rooms due to noise

We had a problem with the toilet in the bathroom. We called Sat morning at 830 to let the front desk know. The toilet would take at least 30 mins to fill back up once you flushed it. They stated somone would be up in 20 mins; an hour later still hadn't seen anyone. We called again and they claimed they had told maintenance about the issue. By this time it's 930, breakfast ends at 1000, and we hadn't been able to start our day waiting on maintenance, so we left and went and ate. We came back and they had obvioulsy been there to look at it becuase there was a wrench on the sink counter. We left, enjoyed our day and came back that evening Guess what; still not fixed. Doing the same thing. So we gave up on that. Also for it to be a non-smoking hotel, the wrench of burnt marijuana would about knock you out everytime we left our rooms and went into the hallway. It got so bad that it started permeating our room, and we had to spray air freshener to try and mask the smell.

We arrived arund 8 pm. There was a restaurant on site. the service was terrible and it took nearly an hour to get the pizza we ordered. When we went to shower in the morning the shower instantly flooded the bathroom and floor outside the bathroom. We had a handicapped accessible room (not requested) so the shower was not enclosed and the curtain did not touch the floor. Flooded in less than 5 seconds. Needless to say, were not able to shower. The overhead lights in my adult daughter's room did not work. Expedia was impossible to contact for a refund.

Thank you for accommodating my family by giving us rooms with an adjoining door. Our room was very damp and had an odd odour. The air conditioner was very noisy. Our second day we asked to have our room cleaned as we left the hotel after the cleaning staff was finished. The woman at the front desk wrote our room number down and we also explained about the air conditioner and the smell. She said she would send the maintenance guy to check it out. We returned to our room after midnight and found that nothing had been touched. We went to the front desk and explained to the gentleman that was on duty. There was nothing he could do at that point to have the room cleaned. He brought us clean towels. We explained to him about the dampness and that the sheets felt wet. He also noticed the smell from the air conditioner. He came back with bedding and a spray to help get rid of the smell. He was very kind and understanding. I’m hoping that when we are booking these hotels through Expedia that we are not given the worst room in the hotel because we didn’t book direct. This trip we booked 4 different hotels through Expedia let’s just say they weren’t the best I’ve ever stayed in. The staff in the hotel were very friendly, the ladies in the breakfast area work very hard and are very helpful.

The water would not go down when we took a shower and literally had to ask for cleaning supplies to clean the tub out after each person took a shower. Which was a lot for a family of 4 attempting to get ready and out the door to start our days.

Decent affordable option for the Iron Blossom festival. Regular check in is at 3pm. Arrived Saturday at 12:30 to a virtually empty parking lot. Let's start with the good: dinner in the attached restaurant is actually quite good and night staff were always friendly. Now for the awful: the day general manager was horrifically rude. I had to call the front desk because the room light was blinking like a strobe light, the bath tub wouldn't drain, the light sockets in bathroom didn't work and there was a foul odor...all very reasonable issues to inform the management of....she called the room and told me that I was "complaining too much" and that if I didn't stop she would call the cops on me. She the stated, she would "kick me out if I complained again about anything to anyone" I have never been treated so rudely in my life. I also witnessed her actually call the cops on a black man who was only walking through the parking lot. She watched him walk and then chased him out on the street and called the cops. She made the entire visit horrific and I would not recommend anyone stay here until she is gone or receives training. Horrible experience.

Overall this hotel was fine. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Check-in and custodial staff were friendly. The breakfast was really poor, the woman setting up food was rude and the area was a complete mess. I only tried to eat there once. The area outside the hotel was also really sketchy, something I was unaware of when booking this. There were multiple creepy men leaning out the windows of the hotel nextdoor who would yell at you while you were in the parking lot. If you’re on a tight budget I think this hotel would be fine for a night, but if you’re staying longer I would spend the extra money and opt for a nicer location with better food.

Clean property and amenities. The staff were professional and friendly. The area was quiet and right off 95 south. It’s about 10 minutes south of downtown Richmond. Theres a restaurant at the hotel but I didn’t try out the menu because it was closed because we got there but there is a Starbucks across the street. I would stay there again.

Specifically called this hotel to make sure the restaurant would be open before booking. They insured me it opens at 5, and closes 9/10. When we got there at 5 the restaurant never opened. We just drove 7 hours there and we’re left with no food. A dirty room and dirty towels. Extremely disgusting, do not stop here on your commute.

The hotel itself was great but the breakfast situation was a joke. I paid $20 for breakfast and was referred to a restaurant on the premises. One server, buffet food but was going to be served by a waiter. 1 waiter. He was very polite but extremely slow. Coffee was terrible, served everything in paper containers like you'd get mac & cheese in. Milk, no creamer. No sweeteners on the tables. He would disappear for extended periods of time in the back and return with a tray full of paper cups and leave again One gentleman stood at the counter with debit card in hand for more than 20 minutes, I assumed waiting to pay or order. He was never acknowledged. We got up and left, abandoning the vouchers we had paid for. No music so it was dead silent.

It was a good stay. I truly enjoyed it. Breakfast was included. The only thing I did not like was that you could not take the breakfast out of the serving area. You had to eat it there like a toddler. I was shocked about that. I wanted to go downstairs, grab food and take it back to my room but it was not allowed
