Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Midlothian Turnpike by IHG

Staff was ok but the property is in need of repairs. The room was not cleaned properly and furniture looked dirty. Definitely below expectations at this price point.

Curtains had holes in them, walls in disrepair, very outdated.

Breakfast menu was excellent. Staff was very helpful. Parking was plentiful and well maintained. I would love if their toilets were the taller. I loved that their toiletries were Dove products. I don’t know any other hotel that uses Dove, I usually bring my own.

The hotel was nice and the staff were friendly… It was clean and beds were comfortable… Our only complaints would be our sink in the bathroom drained very slow but we dealt with it… the biggest thing was the ice machine was always empty of ice ( there were soccer teams staying that weekend) only having one ice machine for a hotel that large isn’t a very good idea. We thought there should be an ice machine on each floor…but for sure more than one!!

The staff is wonderful but this hotel is shabby at best. Chairs in the dining area are absolutely filthy, lobby chairs are pretty good. Hallways smell very musty as did the room. Our room.was not ready when we arrived, which was an hour after check in time. Waiting over an hour for the front desk clerk to.come downstairs, as she was helping get the rooms ready for all of the guests waiting to check in. She was very nice, actually upgraded us to.a suite to make up.for the wait. Overall not impressed with this place but the staff were all really great. Friendly, nice and doung the best they could.
