Nova Hotel Brooklyn

I did not feel safe in this hotel. There is no security to get onto the elevator to go up to our room. Our door was flimsy the door hinge had to be repaired by maintenance and I am sure to use a deadbolt at night, but what are you supposed to do about during the day when you’re gone and you’re not able to add on an extra security lock. Due to the lack of security, I did not feel comfortable in going to utilize the fitness center.

Kind staff, clean rooms, comfy beds & linens. Nice showers. Free legal street parking not hard to find. Balcony in room is a huge plus. Price is hard to beat for what you get. Nice shower too!

The bed wasn't very comfortable, and you need to request maid service, but they don't tell you that. The neighborhood is in a warehouse district, so there aren't many options. The rooftop bar was closed due to weather, which happens.

The hotel was good value for the price: - The mattress was good but the pillows weren't - Hot shower but funky sounds when the heater turns on - Cheap but sufficient bathroom amenities - Spacious for NY - Good terrace - Good gym, small but new and diverse machines - Close to L train - Will probably stay here again

This hotel is simple but nice, everything about it is simple, the decor the rooms the breakfast the towels the bed, I would say everything is fine except the towels should get a little upgrade. They have gone though as much as they can take. The pictures show a rooftop and we where not able to find it.

Nice updated room. AC worked great. Bathroom was also really nice and updated. Staff was really kind and helpful. Probably one of the best hotel gyms I've seen.

Upon first glance this hotel is super cute and modern. If just for a couple of days, this hotel is okay. The staff was kind and accommodating. The amenities are just okay. I did notice that the towels had marks on them, I do think they had been washed but maybe not bleached? The floor left some kind of residue on my feet so I had to wear my shoes at all times. The pillows were not very fluffy on the bed which made for a bad nights sleep. The environment around the hotel was pretty loud, there was beeping coming from all over. The door to our room had a huge crack between the door and the frame which made it to where we could hear everything outside pretty loudly. At one point the door to the rooftop bar was left open and the music was clear and loud in our room. We were able to drown most noise out with a fan app to sleep. Don’t expect luxury and amenities here, and if you just need a cheaper place to stay for a couple nights it’s okay.

Good location and comfort beds, however, staff lacked customer service, dirty facilities, muldew in hallway and bathroom, dirty sink counters, sticky floors, strange odor and entire facility smelt like smoke/marijuana. Ice machine did not have ice. No manager onsite.

The room was fine, but the bathroom was disgusting. There was long hair in the sink and on the floor when I checked in and there were small little flying bugs in the shower. There was exposed wiring above the shower and it was quite obvious that corners of the bathroom and shower hadn’t been cleaned in weeks.

PROs: Common area of the hotel was simple, offering water and 24hr coffee station. There was 1 front desk person who checked us in quickly CONs: On our way to NY, we called the hotel 3x to check on parking and no one picked up. That was extremely odd to us. They finally called us back and the caller id didnt list the hotel name which was odd. I figured they are a new hotel and still need to get some things in order, clearly. There were two towels in the room, one on top of the bed and one in the bathroom, that had stains on them and honestly made me question the sanitation process. But also who leaves a stained towel folded on the bed? Those decorative throw blankets on bed always disgust me because hotels never clean them, and as i was taking it off the bed, i noticed a white thumb mark. Gross i dont even want to think about what that could have been. We pulled back comforters ans sheets to make sure those were clean, and they were which is why we ended up staying. Would i go back? No

Staff were fine. It seems that every floor has construction going on so there is dust everywhere. My feet were black from 2 passes from the bed to the bathroom, floors are disgusting

The location was great & near subway but the pictures are misleading. I stayed Th-Sat and paid almost $600 for two nights. I expected nicer but it is NYC. The room didn't seem very clean, especially the bedding it had a few stains though washed. Mold in caulk of bathroom. Small room nice balcony. Breakfast was just coffee & pastries and the area not cleaned (milk on counter, etc).

Super clean, modern, well run hotel.

The hotel smelled clean, but didn't look clean. My room seemed unfinished — tiling not grouted, etc. Service was not very friendly. Would not stay again.

Staff was great and location worked for the need. The bed was the worst part - the mattress was both hard and soft at the same time while also having a broken frame. The bed dipped in the middle so both my husband and I kept rolling towards each other in the middle of the night. It was too late to try to get another room and we were only there for one night.

My room was perfect and I had a outdoor deck that was about as big as the room. Sat up there at 11:00 at night and enjoy the late dinner

There is a fair amount of noise from nearby commercial buildings that meant a constant ringing alarm that made it hard to sleep.

Overall a great stay and in a great location just off all the main strips but easy access the the L to get you into Manhattan and everywhere else. A couple of things to note. The lack of soft furnishings and carpets in the hallways means anyone talking in the corridors are super loud. Also, I assume the room choice was unlucky - but as I was in the fourth floor, directly under the bar, each night when the bar closed something super loud was switched on, be it at 9pm or Midnight - both of these things woke me up on different nights. Cleaning of the room at arrival could have been a little better, but overall would recommend for short stays when you need access to Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Spent 30 min getting tv fixed when we arrived. Finally turns on and while we're watching tv we're constantly losing connection. It happened nonstop for the 2 days. Tried 2 different wifi connections, both worked off and on. You get to a point where you dont want to continue asking for something to work

I made the mistake myself of booking a loft room which in the photos showed a view of outside through windows but when we arrived the windows were completely covered in decal stickers so there was no natural light coming in at all. I'll give them credit, half of the stickers were taken off the windows mid way through our 6 day stay and they installed curtains as well though all the lofts are on basement level and people walking by on the street see straight down into the room as the street is higher. Other then above, the room was really lacking alot. No ventilation in the bathroom at all, the door is heavy and closes itself so needed to be propped open with the bin to get any air in. The sink spout was coming off the sink, the bathroom door handle was about to fall off, there was no floor mats and only 2 very thin towels are provided plus the shower had red soap scum build up. Now the bedroom, no bedside tables, no remote for the TV and 3 pillows for 2 ppl, also VERY thin. The sheets didn't even fit the bed and came off the mattress every night. Was extremely disappointed with this place and asked to move rooms but they were booked out. Again, my mistake for booking a loft I guess.

The property is great but it’s very loud. Very clean nice room only problem is outside noise.

This place was nice and quiet, I had a beautiful view in room 603 of the city’s skyline. It was 1 block from the train station so I was able to access Manhattan easily. Rooms freshly upgraded was nice and clean. Small snacks for breakfast was included. The staff was nice and friendly. Sam was awesome, she helped me to figure out how to take the train and answered any questions I had. I’ll definitely stay again.

The location is perfect! The L- train is only a couple of minutes away! Easy access to Manhattan. The hotel is clean, modern design,we got a nice-sized room with a huge terrace! If only it wasnt raining! On the negative side: the mattress was awful! It had a divot in the middle,which made it very uncomfortable,we both woke up with our low backs hurting. Pillows are one of the thinnest I've had. Shower head is done in the weird spot: not at the head of the shower stall,but rather on the wall across from the door. Overall, it was a decent stay,thanks to location and cleanliness!

Early checkin was $80 USD, staff was nice but it was kinda loud at night. Super close to Morgan Ave station, would stay here again on our next visit to NYC.

Gurjeet who cleaned the room was extremely helpful and a delight to engage with. The receptionist was also very willing to help. She changed our room when the initial room had issues and also helped with movement around the city. Wil come back again

Front Desk Woman was especial kind, professional and helpful. I believe her name was Samantha or Sam or something like that.

We arrived 3 hours before hotel check in, and were told we could check in early for $80. We looked at each other and decided absolutely not, and were told “I can do $60.” We still declined. We left and came back still 30 minutes before check in and got in without a fee. The room was ok. The shower had pink mold in it, while the shower was running it sounded like a jackhammer was coming through the wall. They must have recently hung the towel holder in the bathroom, the dark pencil line was still visible across the entire wall, and you could see through the seam of the glass wall and where the drywall met from the bathroom. The TV worked for only 30ish minutes at a time. At the end of the day, it was ok to have somewhere to sleep, and shower. But expect the absolutely basics here.

Sam Sona and Sana were an absolute extremely caring, personable and fantastic staff. They made our stay better than any hotel I have been too and I travel a lot. They went above and beyond to make our experience better than we could have imagined. This is the place to stay in Brooklyn. Perfect location great view art everywhere . They help you figure out parking. They will make sure you are taken care of, food help etc..and this was the ultimate first class treatment, rooms were impeccable. Just ask for help and they got you all true professional and this is a 100 star place….you won’t be disappointed! It is the absolute and complete best experience of a lifetime. They made our stay incredible …thank you so much for everything. JP

Excellent stay, a stone's throw from the subway with courteous staff. I mention Sam because I had more contact with him, but everyone was ready to meet our every need. Thank you.

this experience was unacceptable from start to finish. Upon arrival, I was placed in a room that appeared to still be under construction — unfinished or exposed electrical outlets, paint splattered throughout, and a shower without fixtures. There was no phone, no safe, and no proper guest readiness whatsoever. During my stay, cash was taken from my room while I was out. When I reported it, the front desk dismissed my concern and later called to tell me that I “must be mistaken” — which was both insulting and unprofessional. I was also charged for an “early check-in” that had originally been offered as a courtesy. The entire experience felt shady and unsafe. I’ll be speaking with local police regarding the petty theft and have documented the state of the room and my interactions with staff. Guests deserve better than being placed in an unfinished room and treated as though their concerns don’t matter. I checked out early and will not be returning. I strongly recommend avoiding this property until serious changes are made in Guest Services , Maintenance, and Guest Security. I am still of course waiting to hear from any manager you can see the photos on my Google review. As a leader In hospitality I was flabbergasted.

Overall, good value and courteous staff. But I was charged $80 to check in 4 and 1/2 hours early. There was no additional cost to the hotel as the prior occupants had already left. My wife and I had flown overnight and were desperate for a shower, so I agreed to pay the extra $80 but I feel felt taken advantage of. I won’t return.

The hotel is newly renovated and clean. The staff is super responsive. Very much enjoyed our balcony and view of the city. The subway (Morgan station) is just 2 blocks away, although the neighborhood to walk through is a bit sketchy. Overall, for the price and amenities we would stay here again.

Overall, the hotel is located in a great neighborhood between Williamsburg and Bushwick. There is also a MTA subway station nearby with a direct connection straight into Manhattan. The staff is kind and courteous and receptive to questions. Additionally, the hotel offers an array of pastries each morning for their guests. If you're looking to stay in a chic and authentic neighborhood in Brooklyn, this place is it.

It's a small but cute hotel, smells nice, reception staff is friendly, comfortable bed, space to leave your clothes. It's 2 steps from a Subway Station and a 24 hours market place

A pretty new hotel in Williamsburg that is accommodating and affordable. I stumbled upon this hotel through an Expedia deal and decided to take advantage of it. So here we go: Pros: - it's a modern and sophisticated look. Not rundown like most NY hotels - customer service is good and will respond quickly per requests. - has most things you need, bed, microwave, mini fridge, shower, coffee in the lobby, office space in the lobby, wifi, etc. - the hotel is near most things, coffee shop, grocery store (more like a quick mart, but it does have produce) and most importantly-- the L line. Which takes you directly to manhattan. Cons: - there are some things about the hotel and how it was put together. Like the outlets are odd, and the doors are heavy. - the rooms are small but, it's New York. All hotel rooms are tiny-- unless you're paying a massive amount for a bigger room. - it can be loud at times, like the hallway doors or traffic. But once again, it's New York. I always recommend people to bring ear plugs because it's always loud in New York. Conclusion: it's a great hotel for staying on the cheaper end since manhattan is so expensive to stay. However, I would personally recommend this place to people who have been to New York before and know how to get around the city via train. And in my opinion, I think the best and cheapest way to experience New York is by train. It's located in a great borough and has the potential to become better if management decides to improve i

Steps away from a subway station and very convenient even though it may seem far from everything. Very helpful and friendly staff, everything looks new and in great condition. Really nice view of the skyline from the room. The facilities and the room is very clean. The only thing that could be improved in the bedding, feels a little thin and the mattress could be a bit more comfortable. But great stay overall and would do it again

The hotel was very nice and modern. The area surrounding it is little sketchy, but it's close to subway station. It was priced lower than other hotels probably due to the surrounding. I would stay again if the price stays.

Amazing little underrated hotel. Scared to even leave a review because the more I stay here the more I like it and don’t want rooms to be sold out in a night I need/want to come by haha tried their breakfast finally, everything was so delicious and high quality I didn’t expect to like it that much. Was really nice like everything else here, simple and pleasant.

The best think I can say about this property is it's proximity to the subway: the Morgan Ave L stop is a block away. Otherwise, this hotel is severely lacking in quality and seems to be run by people who just want to make a buck. The furnishings, sheets, towels, etc are very cheap and showing wear, and the room was without basic amenities, such as a luggage rack, bedside lamp, blanket. The "breakfast" was very minimal and the breakfast area was bizarre with rolling desk chairs, no tables. All in all, a place that is trying to "look" a certain way, but falls very short. The front desk staff person never even looked up when we came or went, just hunkered behind the desk wall talking on the phone. Made for a very strange, unwelcoming, unhelpful vibe. We had three nights here and it never improved.

This is a great hotel for a reasonable price. Very clean, nice rooms, and friendly staff.The L subway line is 2 minutes away. The only little downside was the breakfast which was a bit sparse and there was only flavoured coffee (those nespresso type things). Anyway, I'd highly recommend this place if you're staying in Brooklyn.

Overall good value. Convenient location near the subway station made it easy to go to Manhattan or Brooklyn. Rooms could be a little cleaner and our shower plumbing rattled. The door handle was also loose but they fixed it when we asked. The staff was very nice. The breakfast was good and we appreciated the coffee and water. I would recommend staying here for the value.

Pros: The staff are excellent. I appreciated the coffee and pastries available for breakfast. The room was good overall. Clean and I love the high ceilings. The location is ideal for travel between Brooklyn, Manhattan and the Queens border. Having the L train and M60 bus nearby worked out well for us. The microwave, bottled water and refrigerator in the room are a huge benefit. The bathroom is a very nice size. Lots of space to move around. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. The area is a bit industrial and still developing but we felt safe. There were free packaged bed slippers!! That was a pretty cool amenity that I did not expect. Cons:. The bed was extremely soft and the pillows could be softer. There was no floor mat for the shower area. The wi-fi is extremely spotty. TV was easy to connect to my streaming accounts but the connection was in and out. A full length mirror in the room would be nice but there is one in the lobby by the front desk. There was a lot of noise several times throughout out two night …I’m assuming from an upstairs guest, but that’s not the hotel’s fault. Someone other than us must have reported the occurrences and It seemed to be handled quickly. Overall the stay was pleasant and I would recommend and stay again. Maybe not on the first floor next time.

We loved this place! Everything was clean, an extremely comfortable bed, accessible to many spots to eat in the area without needing transportation. Front desk staff Sana was very attentive, the gym was small but very useful, and even though there isn't a restaurant onsite, they had everything you need to reheat food in the lobby, which worked great for us! The 2 housekeeping Spanish ladies (did not get their names) are amazing- they provided extra pillows towels when we needed them, were very quick to respond, and provided great customer service. I suggested there is no full-length mirror in the bedroom, which is a MUST, as the small bathroom mirror doesn't do justice, especially when there are 2 people in the same room. Last, a luggage rack in the room is needed as well. Other than that, our experience was 10/10.
