OCHG VIRGINIA LEE

Ok so we stayed at this property 3 years ago. It was under different management then. The new owners had the same nasty rug on the living room. It was rolling up on both ends, tripping hazard. The rug was disgusting!!! They have the same two chairs with seashells on them. They were stained 3 years ago & were even worse this time. They did have a table & chairs which was a welcomed addition. One of the two front windows didn't have a blind. People could look right in!! The microwave was extremely small & there was a giant piece of metal missing on the inside. It was all rusty where the metal was missing. I didn't feel safe using it. The biggest burner on the stove didn't work. The beds were horrible, felt like sleeping on a board. One of the beds had a broken frame and was held up by a piece of wood. The bathroom, there is no fan so it get really steamy. There is a window in the shower!! They put a blind on it but it was too small for the window. There are tall building all around someone could definitely look in. The porch awnings were covered in green moss/mold and looked like they were about to fall off. We love this location but we were very disappointed in the state of this house. Unfortunately unless some changes are made we will not be booking this place again. Its sad cause we really like this place. Our contact for the property was very good & responsive. He did come to check on us but I wasn't going to go thru all this while i was trying to enjoy my time.

Property was in a great location. But had ants all over kitchen, and was dirty ( grandkids found vape pods all over the place), the beds had dirt on sheets, washer was broken.

I feel bad having to leave a poor review overall as the owner was very accomodating and resjponsive but there are some big concerns I wish I had known before I rented. On the accurate side, the location is outstanding. I had seen the cottage on a previous trip and knew we wanted to be smack on the boardwalk. It is before season so the beach was all ours. Kitchen and bathroom are dated but clean. On the " not good but maybe not a dealbreaker given the location" was the shabbiness- inadequate lighting, shaking ceiling fan, broken blinds hanging in disarray. very sparse - not even a hairdyer. Good thing I did read the reviews beforehand or i wouldn't have known to bring our own blankets which would have been a big problem due tto- Here is the completely unacceptable part- the apt was dank, musty, pervasive smell that reached onto the porch before you even opened the door. Had to leave windows open and fans on and still all my clothes needed to be washed when we got home. Really too bad but a deal breaker for ever staying here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at the OCHG Virginia Lee! We stayed in the top unit and it was amazing! The property manager, Cindy, is top notch and super quick with communication! Highly recommended!

Love the quaintness of the property. Very clean. Needs updating however did have the old school beach vibe. Really enjoyed our stay.
