Comfort Inn Columbus near Fort Benning

There were roaches in the room when we turned on the light. I asked to speak to a manager was told no three times. Never got to speak to anyone. We killed the roaches ourselves. The pool was so cold you couldn't enjoy it! the exercise room was nasty and most of the equipment didn't work!! Will not be staying here again & would NOT recommend it to anyone> the rooms were 245 dollars for 2 nights so one would expect a better stay! The front girl staff was very rude to us all!!!!!

The photos are of a well appointed hotel. The a/c leaks into the room. The wall plugs won't stay plugged in. The pool is very hazy,and stinks of chlorine. To add to this the parking lots was being sealed so we had very limited parking with no handcap spots.

Construction equipment blocking parking lot. The rooms across the hall and next to me had noisy construction going on until 7pm at night. I had to change rooms because the toilet didn't flush in the first room I had. The pool was closed for half of my stay. Not a great neighborhood. Street people loitering about. One guy was working on a badly damaged Ford Explorer in the parking lot that was jacked up on sections of wood. I will not be staying there again.

They were under construction. It was crazy, they were painting in the hallways so the rooms smelled all night of paint. There was plastic on the floors for the paint/construction, I assume, but it wasn't really clear what they were doing? Then the breakfast was a joke. There was no coffee, the waffle machine was there but not working. They also had a juice machine that was not working, because of construction. They made only a small amount of sausages, eggs, and biscuits. When I went to toast the bread (as the only real breakfast choice) the toaster wasn't working either and the guy had to keep plugging it in and unplugging it. It was honestly terrible.

No hottub , pool crappy, public areas worn. Room clean, staff very nice. Choose for huttub. False advertisement or poor search engine. Won’t be back

The property was not in the best neighborhood, definitely shady characters walking around the area but we felt safe. The hotel was under renovations but we got an unrenovated room. The carpet was dingy, stained, and torn. The toilet paper holder was hanging on by a thread but it was clean for the most part. The pool was indoors but not heated. The breakfast was decent and the staff was friendly. The lobby was updated and clean. The hotel was quiet.

Water temperature of pool perfect, nice and warm, although, no seating around pool area. Very easy to miss entrance to parking lot of property, and not so easy to just turn around

Was hoping the indoor pool was open and it was closed for my whole 2 night stay

Poor breakfast pool not properly maintained but open, one machines broken the only one working is up on the third floor.

No chairs in pool area. Breakfast was a bit of a let down (under cooked food, badly mixed waffle batter). Place seemed to be under renovation, so things should improve.

The hotel had a musty smell. We got inside the elevator, and the smell was worse. We got up to the 2nd floor, and the smell did not get any better. When we got to our room, as soon as we opened the door, it had a very strong odor, like musty but also like cigarette smoke. So, regardless of the no-smoking sign, the room smelled like smoke. The smell was overbearing. We went downstairs to request another room, and the attendant was very nice about it and thought the smell was like the "perfume" they use, but I told him it was not perfume. We got another room on a different floor, and the room was a lot better.

Had issue with staff that could not understand that my I.D. shows my full name versus the name on the reservation. The smell of marijuana was throughout the hotel. It wasn't the cleanest place I have been in.

When we arrived, the 2 rooms we had been assigned had been used and dirty, then we went to another set of 2 rooms, and the same situation occurred only this time, the air conditioner had been broken down and the bathroom had been used and the one bed closer to the bathroom had been slept in already. There were beds unmade in 2 rooms out of the 4, bars of soap open and in the tubs, shower curtains filthy and old, towels on the bathroom floors used, bed sheets have bad stains, the bed skirts and box springs badly stained, the room floors were dirty, looked like they were not swept or mopped, extremely dirty carpets in the hallways, beer caps and dental floss sticks and all kinds of garbage everywhere, the elevators are filthy inside, looks like they haven't been cleaned in months or years, the buttons on the elevator are filthy, and the entry to the rooms, I had to start the cleaning there because it was so dirty. I tried to contact management and noone responded still until today. I WANT A REFUND, I HAVE NEVER EVER HAD SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE IN A HOTEL, I didn't even go in the pool or exercise room for the fact that I was afraid I would catch something. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

The room was awful. It smelled horrible. There was mold and stains everywhere. It was filthy. The staff was no where to be found most nights or sleeping on the sofa in the reception area- do not recommend

Room dirty, smelled like urine, poor complimentary breakfast. Hotel was accessible without room key (unsafe).

Found pills on the counter in the bathroom. Green tissue stuffed in the peep hole. Disgusting. Took pictures as well

After I checked in, I went to my room. When I pulled down the covers, there was hair all over the sheets. They put me in another room, but the tub in the bathroom has mold all around the edges of it

I checked into the hotel and was given a key to the room i opened the door to the room and there was someone already in there on the bed!! She then gave me a second room and I opened the door and there was trash everywhere and the bedding and towels were all on the floor!

The third room was cleaned but not to my liking. I made the reservation for this hotel bc the pictures of the hotel showed a deep tub. We asked about a room with a deep tub the staff member blamed Expedia for false advertisement. It was the hotels we site that I seen the picture. The Continental breakfast was absolutely terrible. The coffee and hot water machine did not work. I went for orange juice. The one was clear ish and cloudy. The second one was soured. We had to eat somewhere else and spend money we didn't budget for.

The room was clean and the people were friendly and helpful-neighborhood was a little rough. We rented 2 rooms- both bathroom doors were coming apart, there was no cold water from the bathroom faucet, and there were only sheers to cover the window with side curtains for decoration.

Good for the money. The a/c unit was very loud though.

For a long weekend it was fine. The beds are comfortable, staff was friendly. The only bad thing was that the hair dryer didn’t work. But overall it was fine, we didn’t spend much time in our room anyway.

The pictures on Hotels.com will not be your room. The property is older than the pictures.

It was a really nice stay overall. We were a bit disappointed that they didn’t have a jacuzzi like it shows in the picture. The shower also doesn’t have very hot water, it was warm though. They made up for it though in service. Very nice people there & yummy breakfast. When they ran out of food because we went down late, they offered to make more. Overall a good experience:)

What i like is the place was quiet and the room was spacious and comfortable

It was a horrible night ! We didn’t sleep at all because the customers at the next room to us made such a terrible noise till 2 AM . We call the front desk and there was no response. We never again will book this hotel ! Absolutely disgusting and we are very disappointed !

THERE WAS NO HOT WATER FOR THE TUB OR THE SINK. VERY LUKE WARM, ONLY. CREDIT ME $10 TO SEE WHAT YOU MADE OF.

Staff was very friendly and Mrs Vicki was very pleasant to my sister's and I. Cleaning was great has well. Joy

The rooms were okay. The morning staff were very nice and friendly. However the evening desk clerk needs an attitude adjustment. I showed up with my reservation for one room with a king and one room with two queens. He told me the reservation he received was for two rooms with a king. I showed him my reservation that specifically showed one room with two queens. He didn’t care and told me I would have to call Expedia. I could cancel if I didn’t want the room. Lucky for me the person behind me cancelled a room, which was a room with two queens. So instead of swapping the rooms, he charged me a $15 as an upgrade. I would have walked but it was 9pm and I had just driven 15hrs

Overall I had a wonderful time I just had one problem I had to wait for a room my check in time was at 3 o’clock but I didn’t receive my room until 3:40 the front desk clerk was very nice she talked to me while I waited on my room

Shout out to Vicki at the front desk. So much respect shown by all the staff. Staff was very polite and friendly. Rooms super clean, beds where super comfortable.

Horrible. Would not recommend. No washcloths or towels at 8:30 in the morning. The front desk/manager is very rude.

Conveniently located to all necessities within a 10-15min drive, including Fort Benning.

Not in the best area, maybe it was better when the hotel was built.

Good place to stay easy freeway access

Great place to stay if you are visiting Ft. Benning. It’s a short and direct drive to the base and to downtown and other attractions.

Overall the stay was pleasant and the room comfortable. The ice machine on floors 2 and 3 didn’t work and the neighborhood wasn’t very walkable but otherwise I have no complaints.

The bed wasnt bad but the pool was disgusting there was mold on the floor, they ran out of coffee, breakfast was a joke.

I like everything, especially the breakfast and the lady who works in that área. She is so nice and respectful. When I go back to Columbus, definitely I will stay with you.

Breakfast was awful. It was empty for awhile. Tv in the room wouldn’t connect to anything. Bed was made back up but trash and wet towels remained. Overall will never come back to this hotel chain again!

We got a bag breakfast with moldy apple and expire juice.

The hotel itself was fine for a 2 day trip but the breakfast staff member just sits there eating the entire time and asking her to refill the juice machine was a chore. Actually it was not a chore as she just didnt do it when we asked her. She hung an out of order sign but the machine worked. Just lazy

The room was super quiet, like walking down the hallway you could hear people in the rooms, but nothing from inside the room. I think it was a very good value and I would stay there again.
