Bkway Hotel Brooklyn

Parking was available and convenient. The HVAC was not working properly, and the room was hot throughout the night, even though the system was set to 68°. When I checked in, I was placed in a room that was not yet cleaned. I was then moved to a smaller unit than the one I had reserved. I had to wait several hours to be placed in the reserved-size room. Once in the room, it had an overwhelming smell of smoke, which made me sick and caused my partner to break out. In the window, the middle section of the drapes was a shower curtain that let in excess light, and we could not sleep comfortably. The lights in the room were also not working properly, as there was one light in the sleeping area and one in the bathroom that could not be fully turned off.

This hotel was a horrible experience for us and the worst HOTEL we had stayed in ever. This should have not been named Hotel to begin with. The place is a non-smoking hotel but it smelled like weed and cigarettes every floor and the rooms smelled really bad. My reservation indicated a non-smoking room and had to change room multiple times. During the stay of 2 nights, we physically changed the rooms three times not including just checking 6 other rooms which were in horrible conditions. The bed sheets also had cigarette burn marks. We didn’t feel safe at times because the neighbors were yelling and screaming. Overall, this stay was more of a headache than anything.
