There was a mouse in my room, tv was broke and way to many chemicals in hot tub. The food was poor.

There is no elevator and my wife couldn’t do the stairs. We were offered a room on the first floor but was two queen beds instead of a king. The first room had an issue with the door that couldn’t be opened, so then had to get our third room. The room was quiet but we passed on breakfast. The coffee we threw out as well.

Clean property, friendly, professional staff. The only negative, they don’t have an elevator to get to second floor.

Lovely pool and hot tub area, comfortable room, average breakfast.

The staff was excellent very friendly and helpful! The breakfast was the best I have had in a really long time. hot and fresh and a wonderful variety very clean . The hot tub was clean and so was the pool . I would go back again

We traveled with some friends this last weekend to Rochester, MN via the AmericInn Stillwater. After some shopping downtown we decided to relax in the hot tub. I had a brand new swimsuit that I had just taken the tags off of in the room prior to going to the pool area. After being in the hot tub I noticed that there was some discoloration on my swim top but since it was a new suit I thought maybe it was just darker in some spots bc it was damp/wet. The next morning it was still a little damp and still a little discolored. Monday when we arrived home from Rochester and unpacked I noticed that the swimsuit top and bottom was discolored. I sent my friend a pic of my suit and told her to check hers. Same thing happened to hers. I called the AmericInn on Tuesday morning and spoke with Rose who identified herself as the manager. I asked her if there was an email address I could send photos of the swimsuits over to. She gave me the address but told me that unless we had health or safety complaints there was nothing she could do to make it right. I explained that while not expensive swimsuits I did have the tags as it had never been worn and my friend has her Amazon screenshot as she had just bought hers for a trip to Mexico. She had no interest in trying to make this right with either couple. I emailed her the pics on Tuesday morning and have yet to hear anything back.

Hot tub was out of order, if we had known at check in we would have upgraded our room .

There was mold in our mini fridge. Breakfast was the same each morning. Staff was friendly.

Musty smell throughout the hotel…floors were dirty and covered in dog hair…there was a dog barking in one of the rooms…and hotel just has an overall dirty, outdated look. Will never stay there again! On a positive note…staff was friendly and helpful.

Room and bathroom wasn't clean. Garbage behind a chair and the bath tub was gross.

Staff was helpful and pleasant. It was very clean, through and through.

The place was dirtier than a normal hotel stay. The room had a cigarette smell and musty odor.

The location of the property is good. The staff was excellent. The cleanliness in general was pretty good. The shower had very little water pressure and within five hours of checking in I took my shoes off and realized the floor was really wet and soggy and had a really bad odor

Everything was just as it should be, which isnt always the case these days. I would have liked an alarm clock in the room, but that is so minor. Clean, well maintained, and friendly hotel.

The place was very clean. Beds, linens, towels, pool, and hot tub area all very clean. Lobby area also very clean.

Room heater didn’t work.

We had issues with the toilet. There was something wrong with the float and it ran continuously until we rigged it with a piece of cardboard. We did that because the noise was bothering us. You guys are wasting a lot of water in room 210! Also, very poor internet, could only get a signal intermittently. I enjoyed the pool and hot tub and other the the two issues mentioned above, we enjoyed our stay.

The beds were a bit hard and the linens a bit rough and scratchy.

All in all, Our 3 night stay was fine. Quiet, easy access, clean, friendly staff, good parking. I’d estimate hotel was 1/2 to 2/3rds occupied. My only gripe is that the Wifi was terrible/useless all 3 days. The hardwired PC in the lobby worked just fine, so the problem was the facilities wifi infrastructure. I had a network access point in the hallway outside our door. None of our devices (iPhone, iPad, or android) could maintain a workable connection after logging in. We had to use our cell phones as hot spots. I got better service using the Menard’s guest wifi, (1/4 mile away), than the hotels. I brought this to the front desks attention. Kind of shrugged her shoulders & blamed it on the rain storms.

The microwave in our room didn’t work.

The staff and overall the hotel was very nice and we had a great stay. The only problem is the very poor wifi connection. If you are dependent on wifi during your stay I would consider other hotels in the area. If not this is a great place to stay.

In room refrigerator was noisy and had to be unplugged at night. The fitted sheet on the bed was inside out.

Ac sounded like a jet engine when it kicked on. Very noisy doors slamming g throughout the night not great for light sleepers

I would rate this whole experience as excellent if it wasn't for an experience we had with our room. We had been checked in for about an hour and a half, resting before we got ready to attend an event, when someone opened our door & started to come in. About 10 min. later, the desk clerk came to our door and said that someone else had requested this room (online?), as it was larger, and they asked us to move to a different room. We really weren't given an option and were consequently moved to a smaller room. No compensation or options were given to us. As it was our anniversary celebration that I had booked 4 months in advance, it was very disappointing. I felt they could have done better!

Great comfy hotel. The lady at the front desk when we checked in was amazing. Bed were comfortable too. My son and my nephew had a great time swimming and relaxing.

The staff was AMAZING!!! They were super friendly and helpful. Also, it was nice that the pool was open until midnight

Only thing I didn't like about the hotel is the $100 deposit I would like to know ahead of time then when you check in you have to pay that amount other than that everything was pretty good

It was exactly what I needed in the area I wanted. Easy check in, good hot breakfast and nice hot tub for a reasonable price.

Our room was spacious and clean, and we really enjoyed the in-room jacuzzi. The staff was courteous. Breakfast was standard, and the food was readily replenished by the staff when needed. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The hotel was quiet and a good place to stay when visiting the Stillwater area.

Great experience! Very clean. Well maintained. Breakfast was well stocked and the tables were cleaned as soon as people left.

Clean, breakfast wonderful, very comfortable beds. The bad part went through Expedia and was charged double the price for the room. Listed for $98 a night, charged me $200. Will never use Expedia again, will call hotel directly. I am surprised the hotel actually charged me this amount with a straight face. Talked to another guest they were charged the $98 for the same type of room
