Best Western Woodland Hills

Traveling in the winter (Jan) and the pool was not heated. The hot tub was hot. the outdoor pool area is very inviting. The location is excellent, there are numerous places to walk for food and shop for essentials. The free breakfast was good. Overall a good deal for the price.

Friendly staff, decent brrakfast, plenty of parking, felt safe. Only bummer was thr gurst laundry facilities were both not working but otherwise, i would definitely stay there again.

The pool and jacuzzi area is very clean and cute! Room was very clean.

I didn’t like anything about this property.on their website they have free parking but if go late at night there’s no parking. It happened to my wife and a child three in morning.

The free parking was convenient and relatively secure, as the secondary access driveway was gated-off at night. The included breakfast buffet was high quality and impeccably clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was conveniently located near the 101 and Topanga Canyon Blvd.. This is a great budget-friendly hotel.

The check in experience was off because i checked in after 6 PM so i had to do that standing outside the lobby in the cold through a security window. No electric car charging. Bed abd room was clean but nothing special.

This hotel was good for the 1 night stay we needed and was fairly priced vs other hotels nearby. Breakfast was good, albeit short (7-9am). Room had been renovated fairly recently which was nice, but the hotel itself still shows its age. Area around it wasn’t great but the lot was gated at the back, which helped. Would book again if only for a short stay.

I like it for cleanness, amazing breakfast and free parking. I would go there anytime I travel LA. Amazing experience!

I would stay here again! Front desk was super friendly & accommodating. I was able to check in early for an additional $45. The room was clean & comfortable. AC wasn’t working at first but I let the front desk know on my way out & when I got back a couple hours later it was fixed. My room didn’t get serviced. They did try early in the morning but I was on vacation and was bot awake yet when they came through. I put the “service” sign in the door not long after, however, & headed to the pool. Despite housekeeping working on the rooms around mine for the next couple hours, they did not return to mine to service. Not the end of the world. The pool/patio is wonderful!

The pool area is really nice. I love all the plants and open space it has. It's a very relaxing and tranquil environment.

The floors were filthy and there was poop on the bathroom floor behind the bathroom. Otherwise it was comfortable.

The staff was very accomodating and the breakfast was very nice. Since we stayed several days we appreciated the variety of options from day to day. The restaurants in the neighborhood were very good and allowed for good dinner choices at the end of the day. We especially enjoyed the Corner Grill (Korean) and Urban Plates, both across the street. We may be coming to the area again and will likely stay with you again.

Sheets were dirty. Piss was on the bottom of the corners of the toilets. Black mold in ceiling tiles.

The room was very clean.

The hallway had a horrible smell (like old standing water) and it was coming into the room. I’m highly allergic to mold and this had me worried all night. Also, the toilet did not flush correctly and it was very hard to find the light switch when coming into the room. It was completely hidden by the towel rack. I was happy to only be using the room for a few hours.

We were given a handicap room with no wifi; a seemingly minor inconvenience. But, the refrigerator that was stored in the cabinet thumped like a loud generator and vibrated all night, destroying our sleep. At 3 am and again at 4 am, a guest kept honking a car horn outside our room and talked loudly in the parking lot. At one point they left and came back, doing it again. The air conditioner was as loud as a hairdryer. After arriving from Florida at 11:30 pm, we left Best Western at 5 am, absolutely wrecked. t was the worst experience we ever experienced in a hotel. We stayed at a Best Western in the Palm Desert and it was the opposite experience; a quiet room, a quiet refrigerator, and a whisper quiet air conditioner. At this point, we have no desire to ever stay at a Best Western again. An absolute horrible experience, a waste of $156 and a destroyed sleep!

The room was quite good for the money. The T.V. service was slow and inaccurate. The hotel had a disturbing physical "vibration" apparently coming from the roof's air conditioning mechanicals; that's a guess. Also, the hotel allowed some tenants to drive in their very noisy vehicles, which overcame the "soundproofing" of the room. They need to check whether vehicles have properly functioning vehicle mufflers or, if not, require these tenants to park off property on the street. I didn't need tenants "gunning" their noisy vehicles at night, or frankly, at all hours. How about posting a sign that says: "Noisy Vehicles Will Be Shot." Their dining hours need to be extended by, at least, one hour. By the time I shook out the morning "cobwebs" I had only 45 minutes of dining time left and felt rushed. Besides my reasons for being there in the first place, I needed to be relaxed and not "rushed." Two hours of restaurant time for a relaxing breakfast (7 a.m. to 9 a.m.) is insufficient; e.g., what if you wake and 8 a.m., do your morning "wake-up necessities" and then have to rush to beat the 9 a.m. closing time!! Oh, and then there's the noisy staff - - have you ever had to suffer loud-talking staff speaking loudly from the kitchen, and then suffer the crashing sound of kitchen implements? Between the loud foreign language and the noisy cook, I couldn't wait to finish. Staff are supposed to be like Disneyland employees - unseen and unheard!

The room was recently updated. New bathroom, wallpaper, beds, carpet. Unfortunately I paid extra for a suite and what I got was a nice room with 2 beds and a "storage room". The "suite" had no heat, old warn furniture, no access to outside. I had to cover the couch to sit on it. The refrigerator and microwave are in the bedroom area. The TV remote in the "suite"needed batteries, it didn\'t matter because you can only get 1 channel the TV. The hotel needs to work on it, BEWARE: this is not a suite.

Unfortunately I would not stay there again. Loud, smell of marjuana everywhere, beds are not comfortable at all. Rooms are small

The pillows were very uncomfortable. Therefore, sleep was minimal.

Room is clean and quiet. Only downside is the sofabed mattress was uncomfortable - however, the hotel staff gave me a couple extra blankets to layer under the sheet and it improved dramatically.

Recommend this best western. Very clean and newly renovated. The beds are fr I’m but comfortable

Wonderful service

Nothing unique about the experience, but was just pleased with the hotel room and the overall cleanliness and attention to detail with everything. The interactions I had with some of the staff was just fine. All were nice and very professional and helpful.

Quick overnight stay for an appointment in the area. Location is clean, staff is professional and the free breakfast wasn’t bad.

We were in town for a family memorial and had driven 6 hours and had a couple of hours before the event. The front desk was very accommodating and found a room ready and allowed us early check-in. We needed a quick rest and were very grateful for their help.

It is one of better Best Western lodges in the San Fernando Valley, close to the freeway and minutes from the beaches.

This Hotel was in a very nice location. Plenty of shopping and food in the immediate area. Didn't have an opportunity to use the pool, so can't rate that.

The room was clean but very basic. No “Wow factor”. The shower water pressure was weak. It had a tub instead of a walk in style shower. The staff was very friendly and polite. The main breakfast entrees were horrible. The omelettes and turkey sausage must have been frozen not freshly cooked. The other food choices were good/okay. The price was the lowest in the area, but next time I’ll try a different hotel to see if the price difference comes with a more comfortable upgrade.

Price was great. Very hospitable staff. Breakfasts were awesome, extremely good! Hot tub had dirty suds that accumulated; Yulk!

Breakfast was not as good as other Best Westerns which I have stayed in. Most recently, I spent one week in the Sycamore, IL Best Western. The Woodland Hills breakfast options were limited. In addition, on Monday, 7/22, they ran out of coffee cups. Many unhappy patrons.

Beds were comfy, water pressure was great and the staff was friendly. Felt like a safe location to stay, lots of options at the free breakfast. No high chairs was the only bummer.

It was Clean While we were eating breakfast, they removed all food right at 9 O'clock.

Cleanliness was great, Service was good. Pretty nice and awesome and safe area. Breakfast needs to be upgraded, not much to choose from, very minimal food and snacks, but overall it was very nice. By the way there's lots of restaurants around the area , walking distance. I love that as its very convenience right next to the hotel and some across the street.

I just got back from a three night stay, and my two travelers and I loved the room and the facility. The room is clean and well laid out. We slept great in the comfortable beds. The showerhead had good pressure. The air conditioner kept us cool in July. The ice machine is the press ‘n’ dispense type, not the kind with a bin of ice and who knows what else in the bin. The housekeeping staff left us a clean and neat room when we got back at night. We were able to get on and off the freeways and go wherever we want in Los Angeles. The breakfast was better than most places I’ve stayed, and the two women who monitor it deserved special commendation. I picked this location because I wanted to do some hiking and exploring the Topanga wilderness areas and this Best Western is located right at the top of Topanga Canyon Boulevard. It was easy to reach our hiking trails, and a nice drive down to the Pacific Coast Highway, where we could go left to Santa Monica or right to Malibu. There are all sorts of groceries and restaurants close to the hotel but we were off and running all day so we didn’t get a chance to take advantage of them. Also, there’s a lovely deck and relaxing area upstairs. We went up at night and stretched out on the recliners and let the pool lights and the night air unwind us from the day’s activities. We were all happy with our stay there, and I’d love to come back again. I’d rate it at 4 1/2 stars if I could.
