Eurostar på Samaná er rett og slett en skuffelse. Jeg gir det en 2 av 5, og her er hvorfor: Rommene var rene og greie, men gammeldagse. Maten? Middelmådig til det kjedelige. Drinker? Helt anonymt og ingenting å skrive hjem om. Hotellet selv føles utdatert. De skryter på nettsiden av to bassenger, jacuzzi, badstue og treningsrom, men i virkeligheten får du ett basseng, ingen jaccuzi, ingen badstue, og et treningsrom som lukter muggene sokker. De har ikke pusset opp så mye som de gir inntrykk av, og det merkes. Så hvis du bare vil ha fine bilder av stranden, greit, kom innom. Men hvis du vil ha et hotellopphold som faktisk lever opp til løftene, styr unna. Det er ikke noe poeng i å forvente mer enn du får: en 2 av 5-opplevelse, og det er på en god dag.

The check in was unprofessional. We made reservation online, the front desk managed to misspell our last name. Gave us cards for towels, but to get the towels we had to go back to the front desk-couldn’t they just give us towels? This place is huge, lots of stairs. Very inconvenient to go from the pool area to the reception for the towels. Area around pool was not cleaned, lots of empty bottles. Shuttle that takes you between restaurants and room is not on schedule it comes and goes whenever. Had to wait for 30 minutes for the driver to show up. The only good thing was food, hot, tasty (not over salted) and fresh.

It was my first solo trip and first of all I felt safe the whole time. The resort is huge and has a lot to offer (pools, bar, beach, access to island, restaurants, quiet areas, etc). I found new things at the hotel every day! I like the fact that this hotel is in a different area than what we usually see in the Dominican Republic. The staff was amazing, they are all joyful and super friendly (specially the waitresses at the buffet). Only thing is that the staff don’t really speak English which makes it hard to communicate.

La experiencia fue muy buena, es el hotel que entiendo que tiene las mejores vistas desde todos los ángulos hacia el mar. Está muy bien ubicado, le faltan algunos detalles que podrían decir como un dejo de cuidado a la infraestructura física. El tema de la media pensión es bueno porque permite libertad de salir del hotel a explorar la provincia, aunque los precios de quedarse son muy buenos. Aunque podrían ofrecer más a quienes paguen el todo incluido.

Beautiful area. Elevator to beach and location on top of cliff gives stunning views. Service was hit or miss. Some friendly some couldn't be bothered to get off their phone to get you a drink. Most were not friendly until you initiated a conversation. Restaurant had a lot if choices in the buffet but they repeated and reused dishes too much. Gym is small and not air conditioned. Pool is nice but the swifts fly over it all day and crap in the pool. I would return because of tge stunning location. But there coukd be a lot of improvements.

Great views. Rooms are old. AC could have bern better. Food was very good. Restaurants only every other day. Francesco the waiter was amazing. Shel Liana from entertainment team was great. Beach is good with a lot of friendly dogs. No waves, no seaweed, shallow waters good for kids.

Had a great stay with my teen daughter : perfect for our needs for this trip, which was entertainment for the kid and rest for the mama. Place is clean and safe. Staff is friendly and accommodating. If you're looking for a very quiet vacation, this is not the place for you : latin music in on all day, all evening, pretty loud except at the beach. Food is very decent. Cool excusions to do nearby (Monkey Island was awesome). Only downside is we got sargassum all over the beach on the 2nd day of our stay, took them about 3 days to clean it up because there was so much. It's a reality in the Caribbeans, happens! Overall, fun and beautifully located resort: I would recommend! :)

Tres beau hôtel, placé idéalement sur la baie. La chambre que j’ai eu, avec vue sur la Baie, espáciense, confortable et propre. Faudrait tout de même, nettoyer les débris (plastiques, ampoules.. déchets) que la mer déverse dans la petite plage interne de l’hôtel. Gros problème générale dans le pays, qui est insalubre et désorganisé.

El bar estaba bien, siempre muy limpio el hotel. Por mejorar que la barra de la playa, en términos de las comidas, es supremamente demorada porque solo hay una persona y todos los días es lo mismo.

En la recepción muy mala información sobre los sitios qué hay disponibles para comer, la ubicación, el primer día haces un peregrinaje por el hotel, que no es sencillo las ubicaciones al estar tan dispersas y las escaleras por doquier. El restaurante la Casita que tienen para los almuerzos apenas hay servicio, sin orden, tardas entre 2 y 3 horas para que pueda salir algún plato, nunca había visto algo igual. No es mejor si no pueden tener esa servicio a la carta que coloquen un buffet y ya sabes lo qué hay. Un caos, tienes que estar pidiendo varias veces la misma cosa, no llega… es muy cansado, la gente se levantaba y se iba sin comer. La cena buffet estuvo correcta, tampoco te informan y aunque tengas media pensión no incluye la bebida, que nadie te ha informado en la recepción. el desayuno un acierto, variedad y la disposición de la persona que estaba a cargo de las omelettes, rápido y muy amable. La playa no invitaba mucho a compartir tenía que estar más limpia. Y el espectáculo nocturno estuvo muy bien y agradable la orquesta que tenían. El personal de la tienda de ropa muy agradable y muy servicial,

The staff are phenomenal! Management decisions are odd. The resort is old, but beautiful! The pool and scenery are lovely too. Lots of jellyfish and sometimes trash in the water. Great breakfast and dinner buffets, but lunch options in the resort are too limited, and the walk to town mid-day is hot and inconvenient, passing by garbage, stray dogs, lots of noise and honking horns. Lastly, occupancy is down since the resort is no longer all-inclusive, so rooms are left sitting without AC in between guests. My room had a strong musty smell. Air conditioner was inadequate, so I ran and emptied a dehumidifier several dimes daily.

La propiedad está en descuido, el unico servicio que funciona es la recepcion(Maria su gerente) muy dispuesta aunque tiene las manos atadas por que ALBANIA que es la gerente general del hotel es muy desconsiderada, abusiva y poco considerada, la actividad del hotel culmina a las 2am de un 1ero de enero y ella con clientes en el área mandó apagar las luces, dejarnos a obscuras y mandar un pobre seguridad que educación a decirnos "Que el tiempo es limitado y deben irse a sus habitaciones" cuando solicitamos hablar con el gerente ella aún observando la situación "Por que de su propia boca me dijo que estaba observando todo desde lejos" no fue minimamente decente y se acercó hablar con sus huespedes. No es un hotel para visitarlo con la familia, mi hijo se hirió en la piscina por el mal estado, las habitaciones muy malas, las almohadas y la cama ya gritan csmbio desde hace años y no lo hacen, las cortinas no cierran, las bañeras oxidadas, la comida es extremadamente limitada, en fin NO LO RECOMIENDO!!!
La propiedad está en descuido, el unico servicio que funciona es la recepcion(Maria su gerente) muy dispuesta aunque tiene las manos atadas por que ALBANIA que es la gerente general del hotel es muy desconsiderada, abusiva y poco considerada, la actividad del hotel culmina a las 2am de un 1ero de enero y ella con clientes en el área mandó apagar las luces, dejarnos a obscuras y mandar un pobre seguridad que educación a decirnos "Que el tiempo es limitado y deben irse a sus habitaciones" cuando solicitamos hablar con el gerente ella aún observando la situación "Por que de su propia boca me dijo que estaba observando todo desde lejos" no fue minimamente decente y se acercó hablar con sus huespedes. No es un hotel para visitarlo con la familia, mi hijo se hirió en la piscina por el mal estado, las habitaciones muy malas, las almohadas y la cama ya gritan csmbio desde hace años y no lo hacen, las cortinas no cierran, las bañeras oxidadas, la comida es extremadamente limitada, en fin NO LO RECOMIENDO!!!

todo muy bien con el servcicio del personal y las instalaciones externas, el inconveniente fue que al llegar a la habitacion supuestamente JUNIOR SUITE No estaba completamente decorada , al parecer no estaba habilitada para ocupar ya que el aire acondicionadoy ni el telefono para comunicarnos a recepcion funcionaba..

First day, Room air conditioner and fan were broken. The fixed them as they could bathroom door knob was broken. The by the third day, magnetic key stopped working. Nobody can fixed it. We were either in or out cause someone from the staff needed to open our room whenever we needed to go in.

Great views. Rooms are old. AC could have bern better. Food was very good. Restaurants only every other day. Francesco the waiter was amazing. Shel Liana from entertainment team was great. Beach is good with a lot of friendly dogs. No waves, no seaweed, shallow waters good for kids.

The check in was unprofessional. We made reservation online, the front desk managed to misspell our last name. Gave us cards for towels, but to get the towels we had to go back to the front desk-couldn’t they just give us towels? This place is huge, lots of stairs. Very inconvenient to go from the pool area to the reception for the towels. Area around pool was not cleaned, lots of empty bottles. Shuttle that takes you between restaurants and room is not on schedule it comes and goes whenever. Had to wait for 30 minutes for the driver to show up. The only good thing was food, hot, tasty (not over salted) and fresh.

Uns wird ein Bier berechnet, was wir nicht getrunken haben. Daher direkt Beschwerde an der Rezeption. Antwort, ich kann Ihnen nicht helfen bitte am nächsten Morgen wiederkommen. Am nächsten Morgen, eine neue Kollegin hat schon etwas mehr Lust und leitet die Beschwerde wenigstens weiter. Zwei Tage später beim auschecken, das Bier steht natürlich auf der Rechnung. Der arme Mann hinter der Rezeption versucht die Managerin zu erreichen, die natürlich bei einem Meeting ist und keine Zeit für nervende Gäste hat. Also warten wir noch etwas auf ihren Rückruf. Nach einigem hin und her geben wir auf und reisen ab. Es geht natürlich ums Prinzip und den mangelnden Servicegedanken. Die paar Pesos sind egal, aber das es keinen interessiert ist schon bemerkenswert. Ansonsten war das Hotel auch nicht so toll, ist natürlich sehr günstig und daher ok.

We booked this resort as an all inclusive. When we got there apparently they had changed the resort to no longer be an all inclusive. When we got there with no previous knowledge they charged us another $35 per person, per night for the resort stay to be all inclusive. Overall a scam.

Not coming back. Disappointed with Bahia Principe Grand Cayacoa. Booked for an all-inclusive stay but was surprised to find out upon arrival that they discontinued this service without prior notice. Tres beau hôtel, placé idéalement sur la baie. La chambre que j’ai eu, avec vue sur la Baie, espáciense, confortable et propre. Faudrait tout de même, nettoyer les débris (plastiques, ampoules.. déchets) que la mer déverse dans la petite plage interne de l’hôtel. Gros problème générale dans le pays, qui est insalubre et désorganisé.

The staff are phenomenal! Management decisions are odd. The resort is old, but beautiful! The pool and scenery are lovely too. Lots of jellyfish and sometimes trash in the water. Great breakfast and dinner buffets, but lunch options in the resort are too limited, and the walk to town mid-day is hot and inconvenient, passing by garbage, stray dogs, lots of noise and honking horns. Lastly, occupancy is down since the resort is no longer all-inclusive, so rooms are left sitting without AC in between guests. My room had a strong musty smell. Air conditioner was inadequate, so I ran and emptied a dehumidifier several dimes daily.

La experiencia fue muy buena, es el hotel que entiendo que tiene las mejores vistas desde todos los ángulos hacia el mar. Está muy bien ubicado, le faltan algunos detalles que podrían decir como un dejo de cuidado a la infraestructura física. El tema de la media pensión es bueno porque permite libertad de salir del hotel a explorar la provincia, aunque los precios de quedarse son muy buenos. Beautiful area. Elevator to beach and location on top of cliff gives stunning views. Service was hit or miss. Some friendly some couldn't be bothered to get off their phone to get you a drink. Most were not friendly until you initiated a conversation. Restaurant had a lot if choices in the buffet but they repeated and reused dishes too much. Gym is small and not air conditioned. Pool is nice but the swifts fly over it all day and crap in the pool. I would return because of tge stunning location. But there coukd be a lot of improvements.

En la recepción muy mala información sobre los sitios qué hay disponibles para comer, la ubicación, el primer día haces un peregrinaje por el hotel, que no es sencillo las ubicaciones al estar tan dispersas y las escaleras por doquier. El restaurante la Casita que tienen para los almuerzos apenas hay servicio, sin orden, tardas entre 2 y 3 horas para que pueda salir algún plato, nunca había visto algo igual. No es mejor si no pueden tener esa servicio a la carta que coloquen un buffet y ya sabes lo qué hay. Un caos, tienes que estar pidiendo varias veces la misma cosa, no llega… es muy cansado, la gente se levantaba y se iba sin comer. La cena buffet estuvo correcta, tampoco te informan y aunque tengas media pensión no incluye la bebida, que nadie te ha informado en la recepción. el desayuno un acierto, variedad y la disposición de la persona que estaba a cargo de las omelettes, rápido y muy amable. El hotel decia todo incluido con animacion. Una vez que reservamos nos mandaron un correo diciendo que para ser todo incluido habia que pagar 18usd. (Calculamos y bueno decidimos hacerlo) Apenas llegamos nos dijeron que eran 35 usd por dia. Nos sentimos estafados. En el hotel no habia animacion y el "todo incluido" no cubria las bebidas fuertes (ron whisky cocktails) solo cervezas. No le recomiendo a nadie que se hospede en ese hotel. El trato de los trabajadores muy bueno, son afables y estan conscientes de las quejas de los clientes. En fin una nota bemol de estas vacaciones

The staff are phenomenal! Management decisions are odd. The resort is old, but beautiful! The pool and scenery are lovely too. Lots of jellyfish and sometimes trash in the water. Great breakfast and dinner buffets, but lunch options in the resort are too limited, and the walk to town mid-day is hot and inconvenient, passing by garbage, stray dogs, lots of noise and honking horns. Lastly, occupancy is down since the resort is no longer all-inclusive, so rooms are left sitting without AC in between guests. My room had a strong musty smell. Air conditioner was inadequate, so I ran and emptied a dehumidifier several dimes daily.

Très bel hôtel. Le personnel est vraiment courtois et la qualité de la nourriture est exceptionnelle. Le détail et la variété des souper sont particulièrement impressionnants. Bravo au chef et à son équipe. Nous y étions pour la première semaine de décembre (en dehors de la haute saison) il n’y avait donc pas d’animation à la piscine et peut d’activités offertes. Cela n’a toutefois pas diminué notre plaisir.

Beautiful area. Elevator to beach and location on top of cliff gives stunning views. Service was hit or miss. Some friendly some couldn't be bothered to get off their phone to get you a drink. Most were not friendly until you initiated a conversation. Restaurant had a lot if choices in the buffet but they repeated and reused dishes too much. Gym is small and not air conditioned. Pool is nice but the swifts fly over it all day and crap in the pool. I would return because of tge stunning location. But there coukd be a lot of improvements.

Great views. Rooms are old. AC could have bern better. Food was very good. Restaurants only every other day. Francesco the waiter was amazing. Shel Liana from entertainment team was great. Beach is good with a lot of friendly dogs. No waves, no seaweed, shallow waters good for kids.

I font have right to make a la cart reservations,because i stay only one night. At the batroom the shower area wasnt clean.last night late i went to the snack to eat something, i saw many mosquito around the salad and fruit area.This morning i cant sleep,maintenance department was fixed the room up me room 206,too noise and disturb.i spoke already about that with the Front Desk manager and Front desk manager.Boths are very professionals and helpful..they apologized and promise to mee take care about the bad situation s here.The front desk manager offered to me also late check out without charge.I will like come back to this hotel the next year with my family . Great location,nice view of Samana bay, and Samana town.

This is far away from a 5 stars hotel. The food is between poor and ok range. The room was decent in space and cleaning with a view to the ocean. The location and the view of the many areas of the property are beautiful. It has potential but it needs a urgently renovation just one pool available, the beach area was great I think that was the only thing we like there. Also needs an upgrade in all food and beverages offered. They run out of many liquors and they used cheap alcohol to make the drinks. They have coffee machines is a good thing there. The staff was kind and super attentive they do a really good job but I wouldn't come back.
