There's nothing negative to say- the room was clean and comfortable! There was free laundry on site as well as a full kitchen (wonderful ways to save money while in LA). Would happily return again.

Beautiful, recently renovated, immaculately clean property. Bedroom and bathroom were just perfect. Mattress and pillows were very comfortable. Though we didn't use the kitchen and living room areas, we peeked at them before we left. They were spacious and spotless, and looked like they had everything you'd need to enjoy yourself during your stay. Good communication from the owner, including detailed instructions on entering the property, unit, and room. It all felt very secure. Street parking was tricky, but that was expected, so we just hung around and waited for a space to open up. No biggie. Took 10 minutes or less to park within 100 feet of the property. Only real complaint was that the individual room didn't have its own climate control, so by morning we were feeling pretty warm, and had a hard time staying asleep. I'd still recommend this property to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable place to spend a night.

Communication with host was excellent. It’s in the listing, but be aware that the kitchen and lounge are communal. It can be difficult to access the grounds, property and room at first (number pads), but the host provides detailed instructions. Parking as is limited (mentioned in listing) and can very challenging, especially on Monday mornings. Expect to park 5 minutes walk away from the property. Location is ok, and a good jump from point, but caution should be used at night. Room condition and cleanliness was excellent, as was the building. Think of this as a dedicated Air B and B and if that’s acceptable and you’re ok with the parking situation, this can be a great option.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I should've known it was too good to be true. Suggestions, Front gate was a challenge but doable. Maybe figure out a better way. Had to park sometimes 2 blocks away in this shady neighborhood. Parking is terrible! No paved walkway to my unit. Had to drag my suitcase across wood chips. Thermostat is for the entire floor. So if I wanted it cooler, it made the other guest unit cooler. They would make it warmer and I would wake up in a sweat. No tv, iron, fridge in-room. Will never stay there again.

I don’t often write bad reviews, but this place needed it First off the place was clean and the house manager was very communicative, but hard to understand When I got there at 12 AM, I was unable to enter the property. They did not give me the gate code to enter. Then I got in to find out there was no elevator, and I was on the third floor. I would’ve known that I would not have stayed there. I have a handicap. I then found out it was a shared air conditioning unit between multiple units. I was unable to control the air conditioner. and I wasn’t able to control it therefore was hot all night long. When I went to take a shower this morning, it was a trickle coming out of the faucet. As for parking, I needed to park two blocks away because there was no parking outside the property. Then it was street cleaning day and almost got a ticket. I am planning on disputing the charge for a misleading advertisement related to the air conditioning.

It was just like the pictures but I just wish it was more clean. There were stains on sheets and furniture that were questionable to us. Communication was great though. Just bring your own cleaning supplies if you like cleanliness.

The room was clean and comfortable enough for the price. However, the property is not easy to park at and it's in a location where it's a little sketchy. I knew it was street parking only but I had to park 4 blocks away. That wasn't great when I left and came back after 9pm. Lastly, it was especially loud. Someone was doing laundry until 1am. Laundry continued at 7am and the people upstairs sounded like they were doing a rodeo. Lots of noise and not great for sleeping.

Every picture is true and correct. But, just to be aware. Parking is on the street, this property is surrounded by apartments, so street parking is challenging. Additional I did not have a tv in my room, it was located in a common area. I didn't notice until I left the property but the control for the air-conditioning control was located outside of my room. It was electronic and the dial read locked. Luckly my room was on the third floor, and I was able to open the window to get some breeze.

Property itself was very clean and nice, however parking is an absolute nightmare. As a person with a physical disability it would have been nice to know beforehand that the parking situation is so bad that you most likely will have to park minimum 1-2 blocks away. Other issue is that we stayed in room 2 on the first floor of building 14835, and there was a constant crackling/clicking sound that would last for 5-10 minutes and happen every 10 minutes or so. It would wake me up allcthe time and made ir almost impossible to sleep, as this building has quiet hours from 10-8 and paper thin walls so I couldnt even have a TV show playing in the background to mask the sound.

Excellent location for us. Great communication and instructions Prefer fitted sheet on the bed and regular pillows. We dud not like that the lights and fan went on when you enter the bathroom—an annoyance in the middle of the night. No hangers to put clothes on, but a large closet.

Gilmore One was located conveniently to the LA activities I was involved. The property is clean and the condition of the property was good. Parking not being on site, was a concern, but I was able to find parking relatively easy within reasonable walking distance. I stayed at the property for 2 weeks. I was disappointed that I did not have housekeeping at least one time during my stay and the sheets were not refreshed during my stay. The property manager was responsive to any questions on a timely basis. I would stay at Gilmore One again.

I stayed here while moving my daughter to start her junior year at CSUN. (It is not close to the campus fyi). I had issues with the main door code and the door code to my room. As frustrating as that was, the staff were responsive, apologetic and it was fixed right away. There are not TVs in your room but one in the common area. I’m not sure how many people would actually use that sort of arrangement. I would have preferred even a small TV in my room. Unfortunately the water pressure in the shower was barely above a trickle. Other than some minor things, overall Gilmore was a nice stay.

No refund of cancellation are available. Hope you get better roommates. The comunal aspect doesn’t go well. Bad parking situation just awful. They moved my room with out warning then took forever to reap or give excuses would not recommend a stay here just inconvenience in the area the service

We loved that this place, had everything we needed. The pillows and comforter so soft. Wasn't expecting an extra bathroom in the living room, which was great! Beautiful place. So cozy. Owner answered right away for any question or help we needed. Neighbors were so friendly. For sure we will come back when we return to Van Nuys.

I don’t often write bad reviews, but this place needed it First off the place was clean and the house manager was very communicative, but hard to understand When I got there at 12 AM, I was unable to enter the property. They did not give me the gate code to enter. Then I got in to find out there was no elevator, and I was on the third floor. I would’ve known that I would not have stayed there. I have a handicap. I then found out it was a shared air conditioning unit between multiple units. I was unable to control the air conditioner. and I wasn’t able to control it therefore was hot all night long. When I went to take a shower this morning, it was a trickle coming out of the faucet. As for parking, I needed to park two blocks away because there was no parking outside the property. Then it was street cleaning day and almost got a ticket. I am planning on disputing the charge for a misleading advertisement related to the air conditioning.

Gilmore One was located conveniently to the LA activities I was involved. The property is clean and the condition of the property was good. Parking not being on site, was a concern, but I was able to find parking relatively easy within reasonable walking distance. I stayed at the property for 2 weeks. I was disappointed that I did not have housekeeping at least one time during my stay and the sheets were not refreshed during my stay. The property manager was responsive to any questions on a timely basis. I would stay at Gilmore One again.

An apartment turned into a hotel. Not in a great neighborhood. Parking is a pain. Very limited street parking as everyone who lives in this area parks on the street. The room is nice and clean. The common area is nice.

Parking was slightly problematic, although the staff did all possible to assist. I most certainly did not want to park on the street, as the neighborhood struck me as slightly shady. The accommodation itself was lovely once safely inside the gate(s).... I needed four codes to get into my room!

I stayed here while moving my daughter to start her junior year at CSUN. (It is not close to the campus fyi). I had issues with the main door code and the door code to my room. As frustrating as that was, the staff were responsive, apologetic and it was fixed right away. There are not TVs in your room but one in the common area. I’m not sure how many people would actually use that sort of arrangement. I would have preferred even a small TV in my room. Unfortunately the water pressure in the shower was barely above a trickle. Very clean and spacious common area, large TV with subscription. Room and private toilet is also very clean and bed is comfortable with large full length mirror. The building is a bit hard to find with limited street parking. The place is walking distance to McDonald’s and 711, with around 10-15 minutes drive to Universal Hollywood. The neighborhood is not that peaceful, we’ve been there two days and can hear police siren on a lot during the night and someone bamming aggressively on the apartment door at 6AM. But overall its value for price and an awesome place for short term stay.

The property itself is really nice, modern, no real complaints. Parking sucks. There was never parking on the same street. Had to park a couple blocks down and thats an uneasy feeling. Communication with the host is really good and fast if needed.

The room was clean and comfortable enough for the price. However, the property is not easy to park at and it's in a location where it's a little sketchy. I knew it was street parking only but I had to park 4 blocks away. That wasn't great when I left and came back after 9pm. Lastly, it was especially loud. Someone was doing laundry until 1am. Laundry continued at 7am and the people upstairs sounded like they were doing a rodeo. Lots of noise and not great for sleeping.

Very nice and quiet, needed a very nice rest for few days and this was just the perfect spot, all amenities were accommodating to my needs and if there was an issue the owner will always be attentive and work with me to resolve it, parking is an issue as there is just street parking but that’s about the only complaint I had other than than the house, space clean, peaceful, exactly what I needed.

Was a good place for the weekend. Virtual check in was nice. Parking was a bit of a bummer, only street parking and that was pretty hard to come by. There was garbage along the street here and there, but our room was nice and clean.

The Stay at Gilmore One was great and the organization with sending over all access codes beforehand made the check in super easy. Same story to use the wireless lan. Bed- and Bathroom was clean only the Walls were thin and I could hear each step of the neighbors. All in all I was satisfied with my stay at this property.

The property is nice inside & I don’t like to leave a bad review but it’s more the fact that the people staying there don’t follow the rules of not smoking, being quiet after 10pm, through the night, or cleaning up after their dogs. It’s not in a great area to begin with & the walls are paper thin. You hear everything from within the units. Maybe if you rent the whole unit as a family but as an individual on a business trip it’s less than ideal. I won’t stay there again.

Shower water has no pressure, barely comes out . Not even warm/hot. Also the place has no individual AC unit. It’s central air with locked control panel. Kitchen has no proper stove venting. Smells food at night. No parking what so ever. You have to park one or two streets away.
