The property is in a great place near the beach within walking distance of the necessities (awesome food and foot massages). Unfortunately, there were some lapses in the service, which made our stay underwhelming. Housekeeping never wiped down counters and, for some reason, had an aversion to leaving toilet paper. On day four of our stay, I had to repeatedly call housekeeping to have a roll brought to our room. After the third call, I went to the front desk to make a request. As we reached crisis mode, I had to go to the fitness center to pinch a roll from their supply. The cleaners also failed to wipe down any of the countertops. Odd. The poolside restaurant was great, but there isn't a poolside drink service, so you'll need to roll off your lounge chair and walk to the bar. Not. huge deal, but if you're used to the Shangri La, it's a different experience. The decking around the pool is wood (what were they thinking), and it's rotting, so if you're in bare feet, getting splinters is next to guaranteed. Overall, a nice place that saw its best years a decade ago. 3 - 4 star at best.

Staff lovely on arrival but seemed short staffed in the rest of the hotel and restaurant. Ate dinner at the restaurant and food was served very late and cold (other guests complained). Sunbed situation was not normal for a 5 star hotel. There are not enough for guests and some are reserved all day without management removing any towels

I traveled solo and enjoyed it very much. Lovely staff. Great for families too. Big lap pool, very relaxing and some fun too. Very quiet at night. Shuttle service to 2 other beach front restaurants/lounges every hour was awesome. I would definitely consider going back.

A beautiful hotel with a great pool and other facilities (gym and spa). Breakfast was great with lots of options. The free shuttle bus to the beach clubs was also brilliant. Great service and really friendly staff. I’d definitely recommend.

The room was lovely, spacious and quiet . The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly . The breakfast buffet was amazing with great coffee’s . The location is perfect only a few minutes walk to the beach. The pool is huge if you enjoy doing lengths it’s perfect.

They made us pay for dental kit, provided in the restroom, with no tag price on it.The price should be obvious so you’re not surprised at the check out. They showed us a book with the prices for the minibar staff. We asked the front desk to talk to the manager about the shaving kit and dental but the front desk said he is not available and this is our policy. It wasn’t for the total amount that we had to pay but it looks ridiculous for a 5 star resort to charge guests for this elementary things. Staff weren’t friendly at all. They barely could say hi or smile.The internet connection was not good at all. The resort was modern style and the rooms were really nice. Cleaning service was great!

Great hotel. Beautiful grounds. Comfortable rooms. The pool area is inviting. Big patio with each room. They give fruit platters between 3 and 4 everyday. Great breakfast with many choices of bread. Only downside is that it is not on the beach ant there is no good restaurant within walking distance, except the hotel’s. Also, the A/C can’t be set lower than 20 Celsius.

Our honeymoon in Southeast Asia took us to 7 cities across 5 countries, all at 5-star resorts that exceeded our expectations—except for Twimpalms Phuket. This resort barely qualifies as a 3.5-star property. I was misled by the overly positive reviews on Expedia, which seem questionable upon reflection. The only good feature was the pool, however it felt cramped and overshadowed by tall trees, leaving little room for sunlight. The public beach across the street was dirty, though the hotel offers transfers to a more appealing beach club 10 minutes away. The resort's atmosphere was surprisingly dull, bordering on lifeless. Our room was outdated. There was no door for the toilet, and the weak flush required multiple attempts. The shower lacked a door, resulting in water flooding the bathroom. The bathrobes were so thin they were nearly transparent. While the room had a wide sliding door facing the pool/common area, the glass was see through providing no privacy, forcing us to keep the curtains closed. Breakfast was a letdown and unsanitary. I witnessed the chef taste food from a soup spoon and reusing it. One morning, we had to share a table with other people, and the quality of food and coffee was poor. We prepaid breakfast for four days but only used two. Rooms lack an iron and board, requiring us to request them from room service, sometimes waiting an hour. At checkout, I was unexpectedly chased down for a $12 charge for a small fruit plate ordered while waiting for an iron.

Schönes Hotel aber mehr Schein als Sein. Die 240qm Suite war in Wirklichkeit deutlich kleiner. Was gar nicht ging waren die extrem lauten Geräusche der Poolpumpe in der Nacht. Es war ein Hotelmitarbeiter vor Ort aber es wurde kaum leiser. Konnten somit kaum schlafen. Schade

Property and staff is nice. When we showed up we had rented the Penthouse. Soon arrival we discussed the penthouse has 3 step of stairs. Being disabled this was not going to work. Staff was nice and said they will call Expedia and make an adjustment since the room we had to be in with no stairs was half the price. When checking out we discovered the hotel blocked Expedia 3 times from adjusting the price. I asked the manger for help and he got into my face. He asked to fight me. I’m in a wheelchair and never been treated like this. Location is not great. It’s not on the beach. The pictures of the beach is a club you have to buy bottles for 200 each at.

Sehr schöne Anlage mit großzügigen und sauberen Zimmern. Der Beach Club hat eine tolle Lage und das Personal hier war sehr freundlich. Die Auswahl an Speisen ausreichend. It was very relaxing atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay but unfortunately due to my inability to walk much and area around was hilly I couldn’t get out much unless I used a taxi service. Also, the hotel had a few steps in the entrance which I made me quite wary I might fall when coming up and down them. Apart from that it was an awesome place to stay.

Surprised that the hotel did not provide lunch or dinner in the restaurant - it was breakfast only. Lunch you could get at the pool bar, dinner was room service or a minibus shuttle to a restaurant that the Hotel had a partnership with.

A beautiful hotel with a great pool and other facilities (gym and spa). Breakfast was great with lots of options. The free shuttle bus to the beach clubs was also brilliant. Great service and really friendly staff. I’d definitely recommend.

Our honeymoon in Southeast Asia took us to 7 cities across 5 countries, all at 5-star resorts that exceeded our expectations—except for Twimpalms Phuket. This resort barely qualifies as a 3.5-star property. I was misled by the overly positive reviews on Expedia, which seem questionable upon reflection. The only good feature was the pool, however it felt cramped and overshadowed by tall trees, leaving little room for sunlight. The public beach across the street was dirty, though the hotel offers transfers to a more appealing beach club 10 minutes away. The resort's atmosphere was surprisingly dull, bordering on lifeless. Our room was outdated. There was no door for the toilet, and the weak flush required multiple attempts. The shower lacked a door, resulting in water flooding the bathroom. The bathrobes were so thin they were nearly transparent. While the room had a wide sliding door facing the pool/common area, the glass was see through providing no privacy, forcing us to keep the curtains closed. Breakfast was a letdown and unsanitary. I witnessed the chef taste food from a soup spoon and reusing it. One morning, we had to share a table with other people, and the quality of food and coffee was poor. We prepaid breakfast for four days but only used two. Rooms lack an iron and board, requiring us to request them from room service, sometimes waiting an hour. At checkout, I was unexpectedly chased down for a $12 charge for a small fruit plate ordered while waiting for an iron.

The room was lovely, spacious and quiet . The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly . The breakfast buffet was amazing with great coffee’s . The location is perfect only a few minutes walk to the beach. The pool is huge if you enjoy doing lengths it’s perfect.
