We canceled. The dog fees were not stated in making the reservation and we were told at check--in that the fee was $60. We have a 22-lb. non-allergenic quiet dog. On this cross-country vacation, NO hotel has charged that much! The place was under construction, which was tolerable; however, the hallway lights did not work on our floor. It was dark. There was no maintenance staff on duty and no manager. Upon our insistence, the desk clerk called the manager. He said the dog fees were stated on their website. We didn't look at that, because we booked on Hotels.com. Finally, our reservation was canceled and our money refunded. We directly made a reservation at another hotel for the night. And, last night. I am hesitant to make Hotels.com for the remaining week of our vacation.

The room smelled like there was an animal living in there before we arrived like manure or there was a litter box in there for a long time. The ice machine on our floor was out of order and the snack machine was empty

It's Richfield, what can I say about that? No hotel in Richfield is ever going to be GREAT. The Hampton Inn was predictably "okay" just like usual. The outer security door was not closed and could not be closed (so not secure). The vending machine only takes CASH (NO credit cards) and does not give change, and the front desk would not make change for us.

Not very accommodating. I had emailed and called before arrival asking if there’s anyway for early check in (expressed we were willing to pay extra). They said there is no way to have early check in because their maids do not get done until about 2, but offered me to pay for another night before our arrival so they would be available the morning we came to town. Which makes no sense? If you have the two rooms ready the night before why wouldn’t you the day of, especially if I am willing to pay an extra fee to check in early? They also weren’t able to get the two rooms we purchased next to each other. We were willing to change from king to queens but it wasn’t offered or other options weren’t made available, just told “no, no way we are able to do that”. Our rooms were dirty. The tile in the room looked like it had dried dirt all over it. The shower had black curly hairs all over and orange stuff all around the edges. Looked like there was water damage next to the shower door. Our sheets had black hairs all in them. I woke up with two new bug bites. Breakfast had standing water in the eggs. Disappointed in this place.

Very nice hotel, well-kept and clean. The staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area and restaurants. Our room was very clean, nicely decorated and had a good size bathroom with ample space on the countertop for toiletries, etc. They have good breakfast available in the morning. We will definitely stay here the next time we're in Richfield!

Our bathroom had a bunch of dark hair all over the floor and in the tub which was gross. Cleanliness wasn't there. Beds were fine but not super comfortable. Breakfast was meh gonna be real - eggs were rubber, sausage was decent, pancakes were meh. Overall, won't be staying here again. Should've stayed at the Holiday Inn 5 min. away!

The property is very dated. Not worth the extra money. There was hair on the shower wall. The shower glass was dirty and stained. The hall carpets are very old and dirty. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food was hot and good as well. Too expensive for the look of the hotel.

Bang for my buck! Comfy beds, soft towels, everything was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was surprisingly delicious ( and bonus points for valentines sprinkles!) We will be back the next time the kid wrestles at State!

This property was so dirty I even took pictures. Cereal mashed in the carpet and even in the air conditioner. Hair in the bathroom on the floor, toilet and tub. If it wouldn't have been so late I would have immediately asked for a different room. I will not be back.

First problem was the remote to the tv didn't work. Manager had to come to the room and wiggle a sensor behind the TV, then you had to hold the remote control up high to get it to work. Windows do not open. No fan in the bathroom so after a shower the room is muggy, had to open the door. Cheap built wood hotel, floors creak will people walking around. No curtains only pull down shade. When the sun comes up it is so bright you wouldn't even think the shade was pulled down. Should be Motel 6 prices. Continental breakfast was great though, lol.

The room was clean. The shower was not good. Poor water pressure and the shower head wasn’t working well. The AC unit was making clicking noises all night. Wasn’t terrible but a bit inconvenient. The WiFi was bad and kept dropping. This wouldn’t be a major issue except that the cell phone data and connection is also not great at this location.

The electric window shade did not function, there was a droning sound in the bathroom that would not stop, the soap, shampoo & conditioner bottles in the bathtub were empty. We could hear heavy footsteps throughout the night & morning coming from upstairs. This room was NOT worth the price. Will not stay at a Hampton Inn again.

The hotel was very convenient to the interstate and there was a great steakhouse right across from it. Breakfast was wonderful, shower was great. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it was truly the tiniest room I've ever stayed in. You almost had to turn sideways to walk between the bed and the TV. Really tiny.

Checking in was a nightmare. The woman at the front desk didn't know how to complete the pet fee for the guest in front of us. That took a long while. Then, she gave us a second floor room. We lugged our stuff up there (they do have an elevator) only to discover housekeeping hadn't even started our room (it was a half hour past check in time). I went downstairs to let her know. She informed me that she couldn't change the room number, so we would just need to wait for it to be done. I went back upstairs to help my spouse lug our stuff down to the lobby. As soon as we got down to the lobby she laughed about how she figured out to change the room number. We lugged all of our stuff back upstairs. The room was clean, the housekeepers were very noisy, the breakfast was blah.

I booked this hotel through orbitz about a month in advance. I arrived at the hotel 1 hour before check in and was told to come back because the room wasn’t clean yet. I asked the clerk to check my reservation to make sure everything looked fine. She said it looked great and to come back in an hour or 2. I came back 2 hours later and a different clerk with green hair was very rude and told me that he cancelled my reservation because they couldn’t run my card. They said there was no phone number to contact me. This all happened at 4:00pm. Never have I heard of a hotel giving away your room at 4:00pm because you haven’t checked in. Absolutely horrible customer service. He was completely rude had an obnoxious attitude towards me. He said we are sold out for the night and it is so obvious that they gave away my room at a higher price than what I booked it for a month before. Completely sketchy and unethical.

Cleaning staff was rude. Front desk check in was ok, understaffed but she was nice. Check out person (blonde, large woman, likely the manager), told ME what MY experience was with the internet. Yep. She told me when sign in failed it didnt happen. I tried to sign up for Hilton Honors as it appeared you needed to to get the internet. I was unable to access without it downloadingthe app was the pop up messa. She told me, "No!" 3 times as I tried to explain what happened, loudly, and over me. I thought she was obviously not interested in if their technology with the app or wifi was working. She obviously didn't care about my experience. She was dimissive and nonreceptive to what my concerns were. I wil not be staying at this location and sevice is far sub-standard than other locations that I have stayed at previously. Thankfully because of my experience, I have since deleted the Hilton App as the staff doesn't care if it works with the internet or not. Also, do note they DO NOT count your Hilton "points" if you book through Expedia or any other 3rd party. Yay for Expedia members, tuly.

Excellent front desk staff. I was greeted by a very friendly woman who was very accommodating. This hotel is clean, comfortable, nice indoor pool and I cannot say enough about the staff. The area was safe with easy parking and access to the hwy. Definitely recommend this property.

The property is very conveniently located off the freeway and walkable to a few restaurants. The bed was comfortable. I was happy to have a microwave and gym available. The property accepts pets so you might want to ask if your next-door neighbor has a pet. I will stay here again

The breakfast was awesome, best we had on a 2 week road trip staying in several hotels during that time. It was interrupted by the sprinkler system going off at the check in desk. Not sure what happened but felt sorry for the gal at the desk who got soaked. We were able to get back to our room and leave without a problem.
