If you have your own cr the parking is inadequate if you are out for the day and arrive back after 6 o'clock you will be unable to find a parking space. We had to get a park at 10 am and then leave our car there and use Uber cars for the 3 days of our stay. If you are taking your own car don't even think about staying at The Pavilion.

Great central location, with good parking. Quiet, clean and comfortable rooms. 24 hour reception with lovely staff. Restaurant on site along with gym and outside pool. Lift and stairs to upper floors. Great family property

Very comfortable, quiet room. Great restaurant and bar on site. Decor in room was old style. Hopefully they plan to eventually refurb the wood to a lighter colour and add some art work or interest to the dark walls. Everything clean except one teaspoon which must have been missed by the cleaners. Will definitely stay again.

I travelled with my 5yr old granddaughter. We loved the facilities, pool, child friendly restaurant and easy parking. a 15 min drive to many of Canberra's activities. At a reasonable price.

Easy access to all Canberra Tourist sites. Although located in a prominent position, the Room was very quiet and spacious. The Hotel is conveniently located and the Parking at rear is easy and safe. All the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The Atrium is a lovely place to relax and enjoy your food...

Onsite restaurant is handy and good. Wifi is speed limited to 7mbps which is quite slow. (I did speed test from room 224 & 306 & got same result). Quick enough for YouTube but too slow for other Apps so I ended up using mobile data instead.

Nice and clean hotel, spacious room with comfortable beds. The interior had a slightly dated feel, but was well maintained (and - more importantly - clean and functional). There's a light rail stop just outside, making it easy to get to the city centre in just a few minutes.

Old building but well maintained, openable window is good to have some fresh air in the room but central aircon which is hard to set room temperature as u want. Close to tram station and walkable to Dickson where tons of shops and restaurants are there.

Room was ok. the microwave is that old and noisy it should be in a museum. The shower is unpleasant, you have to shower in the spa tub with uneven base, the water pools up and you end up ankle deep in dirty water and then it is a struggle trying to get out due to how high the spa tub edge is. It needs to have a step so people a little older like me can exit the shower safely. The bed was too soft and uncomfortable and the fact that you can not turn off the climate control in the whole room was annoying.

the inside of the hotel was very nice, the room was fine, but the air conditioning did not work and we had a very cold night, not even the extra blanket helped. could not sleep so woke up at 3.00am, had some coffee showered and checked out (warmer in car) and headed home

Room size is ok, but too many furniture - 3 chairs plus sofa, and 2 tables. The bed is too soft. The floor is uneven, especially at the bathroom entrance. If unaware, it is easy to trip over. The shower is in the bathtub, hard for old people to get in and out. Free parking is good and convenient; many hotels charge $20 to $30 per stay.

The hotel staff are excellent and the rooms were very clean. The facilities fall short specifically the air ventilation (Room 217). The air conditioned is centralized in the hotel but that didn't seem to apply to our room. Very poor airflow made the room hot and stuffy. We had to crack the window at night and get a pedestal fan to get by 2 nights. Minor feedback in terms of controlling water temperature in the bathroom - the settings are boiling or ice cold. Getting the right temperature requires surgical skills which is truly unexpected.

Had a quick overnight trip to Canberra for work and thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Pavillion on Northbourne hotel. Really made to feel like a welcomed and valued guest upon check in. The room was so comfortable and spacious. Had a fantastic meal in the restaurant and a few cheeky beers at the bar. The staff were all friendly - honestly couldn't have asked for a better stay.

I did not like being told at 1.45pm that room is not yet ready (which it was) and I had to wait till 2pm to check-in. It was a silly and anti-service attitude, when I could have easily been checked in straight away. I was told to come back in 15 minutes and when I did, other people were checking in, meaning a further wait. While not a big deal it was unnecessarily poor attitude of the staff, all other places I have ever been to are more than happy to check in early, if room is available (which it was). Totally understand if it isn't...also it wasn't as if the check in clerk was doing anything else, he just stood there till 2pm when he started to let people check in...my first but definitely last time I am staying at the Pavilion

The room was great and very clean. However, I was a bit disappointed that while we were still inside preparing to check out, around a little past 9 a.m., someone tried to open the door. I opened it and found it was the room cleaner. Although he apologized and seemed surprised we were still inside, it would be appreciated if staff could confirm that a room is vacant before attempting to enter.

Loved the internal garden with seating and bar. We ate at the restaurant and although the staff were lovely,the meals unfortunately did not live up to expectations: the ribs and middle eastern salad were bland, the chicken dry and chewy. The eton mess desert however was delicious.Breakfast was fine.I would stay here again.

Overall, my experience at the motel was dampened by the poor bar service and food poisoning. While I have always enjoyed the beautiful atrium and the abundance of live plants, the recent incidents at the bar have left a negative impression. I ordered a drink using the QR code and it never arrived. Later I ordered a beer, I discovered a lemon seed with a small piece of lemon in the glass that hadn't been washed from a previous drink. When I brought this to the staff's attention, it was dismissively waved off as a common occurrence. No replacement drink was offered, and I had to request one myself. Later that evening, when I ordered a couple of desserts through the QR code, they were delivered to the wrong table.Only after I questioned the situation at the bar did a staff member walk over, grab the desserts from the the other table, and hand them to me. This was a clear lack of proper hygiene and handling of orders. A better approach would have been for the desserts to be given to the table they were initially delivered to, as they had ordered the same.Our desserts should have been freshly prepared and served to us. Later my daughter ordered a pizza, I shared half, appart from breakfast at the hotel, it was all I consumed that day , so we both ended up very ill, food poisoning as stated by the doctor, the only common denominator was the pizza.
