Eglin Extended Stay Hotel, a Howard Johnson by Wyndham

Non draining shower, bed bugs, restriction of service dog to enter area around the pool ( she is a registered service animal and is 9 pounds and was harnessed and leashes) I require a service animal and was told I couldn’t bring her into the gated pool area unless she was in a crate, she doesn’t ever go into a crate on a plane, in a restaurant or in a store so why would I put her in a crate to sit her next to a chair by an outside pool while leased , she can’t do her job from inside a crate. There was bedbugs crawling across my bed , the shower wouldn’t drain so I ask for a full refund bc I’m not staying in those conditions. There was bedbugs staff was very polite and understanding and I realize they just are employed here and this isn’t their fault and they helped me in every way they could which I appreciated but they seriously need to either do renovations or plow the place down. If you don’t want to sleep with blood suckers I wouldn’t stay here.

Parking's okay breakfast was okay they could do a lot to clean up the property though

The suite we booked was dirty with smudges all over the walls. The a/c unit did not work, we had to shut it off multiple times to be able to get ANY air. I was told that I had to request housekeeping in order to get new towels, I did request it, but had to go to the front office to get them multiple times. Breakfast was sub par, you get what you pay for. There was so much trash about the property, clearly no one cleans the area. This was a very cheap option (if you are in a bind).

Room it’s okay but bad neighbors it’s crazy

The staff was so nice ! My King bedroom was very spacious and the pull out couch was comfortable! Great breakfast. ( waffles , sausage,etc). Not brand new but for the price it was right !
