A bit annoyed about the function that was going on underneath our room. I wish the staff had made us aware of it, we would have gladly downgraded our suite for a quieter room if we had been made aware. It was a really hot night so we had to keep the windows shut and use the fan. I understand that hotels need to have functions but forward planning for the guests not involved in these is really important. When we mentioned it the next morning, the staff member on duty just replied ‘yeah’ Not the best response. The food was nice and the surroundings are pretty. The building is old so be prepared for some pipe noise. Wouldn’t stay again.

Weirdly designed rooms, breakfast very limited, nothing healthy, just above an average hostel. No warm food on buffet, full English made to order, looked what I cook at home, nothing special, little sachet of brown sauce. Dinner options also nothing special, very bland. Would maybe expect nice environment to walk to, but nothing from the hotel itself, would have to take the car

Very convenient for Gatwick Airport… 15 minutes drive but in the middle of the countryside. Rooms are comfortable and have everything you need Restaurant is great with a good choice of options, service in the restaurant is excellent!
