The restaurant food and breakfast wer excellent. Parking is a bit silly. It was difficult to find and they allow double parking without taking the keys of the double parked vehicle. Tho hotel was very nice, but the climate control was clunky, going through repeated phases of too hot/too cold for a given temperature setting.

Have their own parking lot, which is extremely rare and very helpful if you have a rental car. Very nice and helpful staff. I forgot my electric converter and they cheerfully provided one I could use. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. A great place stay, feel from the Castle, in Windsor.

Hotel is in a very good location. However, access to reception is difficult, as it is up a steep stairway. It was hard to carry luggage. The sink in my room was tiny. I should have asked for a different room.

Really amazing location minutes from windsor castle, the town centre, the riverside and the trains station. Beautiful reception, indoor and outdoor food and drinks area. Room was clean except some damage and mould in shower and sids of bath was bathroom was modern and clean.

Hotel was in excellent location right in centre of Windsor and a stones throw to the castle. Had a lovely stay room comfortable, clean and all amenities. Bathroom was quite small but all very nice although shower wasn’t very powerful but all ok. Decor in hotel was lovely and staff friendly and professional. Breakfast was nice and enough choice. Had drinks in bar in evening which was quite expensive. Hotel parking although was expensive was perfect as right at the back of hotel.Windsor lovely town and visited the castle which was amazing and well worth the visit.

I recently stayed at The Castle Hotel Windsor. Positives: The location is excellent, right in the heart of Windsor, and the bed was very comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep. Negatives: Unfortunately, the overall cleanliness of the room let the stay down. There were noticeable stains on the carpet, sofa, walls, and even the bath, which made the room feel poorly maintained. Service at the bar was also disappointing. On one occasion, despite there being four staff on shift and the bar being quiet, I waited 30 minutes for a drink I had ordered, which never arrived. Instead, two staff members spent considerable time telling two Asian customers that the kitchen had closed and they couldn’t order food, despite it being only 8:42pm (well before the stated 9pm closing). Overall: The location and bed were the only real highlights. Given the issues with cleanliness and service, I would be very unlikely to return

It has the best location in Windsor and is a perfect place to stay for one night before heading to Heathrow for a flight. The hotel is a historic building and very charming, but the rooms are not soundproof. You can hear walking and talking from nearby rooms and upstairs, but being in the center of town was worth it. We had a great view of the changing of the guards!

Nice room, good toiletries, bed wasn’t comfy- both of us said it was uncomfortable. It was extremely hot whilst we stayed & yes aircon in room but the heated towel rail was on and bathroom was very uncomfortable to be in for a shower no switch to turn off

The property is noisy. Walls are extremely thin. The comforter and sheets were yellow from bleach and need a new set. There was a hole in the wall, something with a foul smell through the hallways and no lifts to certain rooms.

I stayed in the room with a city view and it was excellent, a lot of space, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, the white robes and white slippers are always creating an luxurious feel. Amazing selection of tea, coffee, water and milk in the mini fridge in the room. Will stay again next time I am in Windsor.

The Hotel's location was ideal for us, everywhere we visited was within walking distance of the hotel. Once I'm our room we noticed that there was no bedding for the sofa bed,so had to pop back to reception to ask for some this was sent up immediately. The breakfast is self service and they offer a good variety, hot drinks order's are taken by the waiter this is a nice touch but we ended up waiting 20 minutes for ours to arrive this may have been a one off but if this is a frequent occurrence then maybe a self service hot drinks machine would be better. Hotel also looks after your luggage even when checked out so you can enjoy the sites baggage free. Overall the hotel was very good and we would definitely return.

Except for the location there was basically nothing good about this hotel. The “workers” had no personality or the basic understanding of what it means to work in hospitality industry. Examples? Here are few: wake up call came 15 minutes late; we asked for more towels - they never brought them, and my husband ended up going to the front desk to collect them; the phone in our room wasn’t working. And their restaurant and bar? Don’t expect your drink for 15 minutes after you order it. And don’t be surprised if your appetizers come AFTER your main course.

The service was excellent, our check in was smooth with professional hotel staff. We ate at the restaurant which was delicious and extremely convenient. The hotel room is clean and well kept up in maintenance, very comfortable to stay here. We will be back when we are in the area to stay again.

Andy on the check in desk was excellent when resolving an issue with our booking - the room type / picture we booked on Expedia did not match what we were allocated, but he took ownership of the situation and even showed us 3 alternative rooms we could move to - thank you Andy! The car park is bigger than I expected, which is why we came on the train (the £30 per night parking charge also put us off, which might be why the car park was mainly empty?) Would definitely stay here again - fantastic location.

Lovely hotel - clean room with a comfy bed and good location. Parking is very tight. Reception staff were great but the service in the cafe/bar at lunchtime and the restaurant for breakfast was terrible. At lunch it took nearly 40 minutes to get two beers and two sandwiches, with no apologies for delays or the fact that I had to go to the bar to ask what was happening several times. At breakfast I ordered a decaf coffee - it took nearly 20 minutes for them to tell me they had none (despite having decaf in the rooms) and then another 7 or 8 minutes to get a regular coffee. You have to order eggs separately but they took so long to arrive we had already finished breakfast by the time we got them. Would stay again but would go somewhere else to eat.

The property is in an excellent location being nearly just across the street from Windsor Castle itself. The property/rooms were very nice, we had a city view - nothing to disappoint with the Changing of the Guard going directly in front. The room was very clean, bed was comfy, bathroom spacious, modern and also very clean. We really enjoyed the location being so near to all the activity the Windsor area has to offer. Thank you Windsor Castle Hotel. We would stay here again.

Good alternative to staying at Heathrow if you have a flight the next day. Windsor has plenty of shops, restaurants and walks, making it ideal for short stays. The hotel is opposite Windsor Castle, so we got a great view of the daily parade. The hotel itself is undergoing an external refurbishment, but the rooms are done to a high standard. We also had Afternoon Tea in The Leaf, which was pleasant, but the quality of sandwiches were not great. The Coronation Chicken/Vegetarian wraps were nice, but there was very little filling and taste in the other varieties.

Our room was comfortable, clean, a bit weathered. Restaurant - food nicely presented, drinks - quite expensive but I guess it’s where we were. Booked afternoon tea at £40 per head - overly priced. Wasn’t worth the money and “piled high” description consisted of 6 ham sandwich fingers, 4 mini scones & eight little fancy bite sized creations, disappointing.

Have their own parking lot, which is extremely rare and very helpful if you have a rental car. Very nice and helpful staff. I forgot my electric converter and they cheerfully provided one I could use. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. A great place stay, feel from the Castle, in Windsor.

The property was fantastic. We loved the location and walked the streets and the Church of St. John the Baptist. So much history in the area to visit. The lunch, dinner and the breakfast food was amazingly good. The eggs Benedict were the best we’ve had in a very long time. Definitely would stay there again.

This hotel is amazing! We loved every second of our stay. Staff went above & beyond to make us feel comfortable & welcomed. Location was perfect, our room was spacious & clean. We had a drink at the bar which was terrific & a delicious dinner in the restaurant. Special mention to Danusia who made our meal in the restaurant special. Terrific service! We will be back!

This hotel is in the perfect location to walk to Windsor Castle and walk through the town. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is reasonably priced and delicious. Highly recommend!

Lovely hotel - clean room with a comfy bed and good location. Parking is very tight. Reception staff were great but the service in the cafe/bar at lunchtime and the restaurant for breakfast was terrible. At lunch it took nearly 40 minutes to get two beers and two sandwiches, with no apologies for delays or the fact that I had to go to the bar to ask what was happening several times. At breakfast I ordered a decaf coffee - it took nearly 20 minutes for them to tell me they had none (despite having decaf in the rooms) and then another 7 or 8 minutes to get a regular coffee. You have to order eggs separately but they took so long to arrive we had already finished breakfast by the time we got them. Would stay again but would go somewhere else to eat.

Excellent stay in the hotel though it’s a short stay for a night. Helpful front desk, sizeable room, pleasant and big in-room breakfast (and kids free!). Will definitely revisit after current renovation.

We have stayed in the Castle Hotel for three nights now and it has been getting better each time we stay … The refurbishment work looks nearly finished and the parts that have been opened already are a feast for the eyes … The bed is really comfortable and the feel for the room is cozy and warm with plenty of space … The only critique we have was about the breakfast considering the cost. The food was only tepid and the toaster didn’t toast (A Commercial Toaster is Required) …

Excellent hotel, excellent location, no lift in our section of the property. There was construction going on so not everything was available, but we personally did not lack anything. I am sure the hotel will be even more beautiful when finished.
