The Westin Monache Resort, Mammoth

The staff members (front desk, bellhops, etc.) were all very friendly and helpful. We had a last-minute special situation to take care of and the concierge, Olivia, took extra time and effort to explain our options and help us make arrangements. The room we had was very clean and nicely appointed. Everything was working. Distance to Village gondola is awesome. Rooms and stairs to the Village could use a little more lighting, but that's true for most places.

Great location. However the room had an odor probably because the hotel allows dogs.

There was a stain on the sheet when we checked in. There weren't enough blankets, what I would consider blankets, and the toilet paper was that thin cheap stuff. Other than that it was great.

The room and everything was amazing. The check in was not that great due to no one being at the desk to check us in for 25 minutes. This was due to us arriving at 1:30 a.m. Next time they could do better at having someone staffing the front desk or carry a cordless phone on them.

It could be much better for the price they charge per night . The smell in the room was terrible . We had to open the windows to let the fresh air in. The housekeeping wasn’t great either . They left some areas messy and forgot to leave the pool towels . The service in the restaurant and coffee shop was extremely slow . The food at their restaurant was very mediocre.
