unfortunately the elevator was not working during our 2 night, 3 day stay at this hotel. so this senior couple had to carry our luggage and climb 2 flights of steps several times each day. I have difficulty climbing steps, so I was very unhappy with our stay!

The good: The room was a good size and appeared clean. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. The room heater was quietly. The bad: There was a strong fume smell in the hall that hurt my throat and the staff said it was from the furnace room but was “safe”. My kids complained about it every time we had to come and go. The pool was either absolutely packed with kids or closed. We finally got to use it after 9pm but the water was filthy. The next night, the water looked clearer but the hot tub was broken and felt slimy. Then a large group of unsupervised kids with footballs came in so we didn’t stay long. The next day, the pool was closed during “open hours”when we had planned to use it. The bathroom in our room had mold growth under the soap ledge in the tub and around the corners and edges of the shower. The ceiling was cracked presumably from a leak above. I would choose a different hotel in the future.

In town visiting family. Hotel is very clean. Room was quiet, even with being right across from the elevator. Fitness room was clean, and they have a Peloton! It was a bit warm and muggy in there though. Only complaint is that a couple of light bulbs were burnt out in our room, which was a minor issue.

Normally Hampton Inn and suites is a very good place to stay. Unfortunately, this Hampton Inn is not like the other ones we’ve stayed at. We booked this hotel because it said there was a hot tub, pool, in hotel convenience and grocery store. Plus refrigerator and microwave in rooms. The hot tub/whirlpool was cemented over, no in room refrigerator or microwave and the in hotel grocery store was not that at all. The room we had..there was mold in the shower/tub..the head boards were peeling and the beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. Also no refrigerator or microwave in our room. Positive was the morning hot breakfast and the lady that was looking after it.

We were extremely disappointed they just recently cemented over and shut down the hot tub and the pool was so full of mildew we weren't able to use that either. We had my son with for the weekend and due to the filthy pool we were all bored and highly disappointed.

We booked a room with a jet tub but we didn't get one. They said that is a problem with orbitz. Also the water stopped working for a few hours and there was someone elses hair on the clean towels. Otherwise the room was nice enough.

It was clean and high standard, very comfortable, spacious bedroom and bathroom, clean and hot shower, good size television, very cool air-conditioning and most of all they great customer service. The staff are very nice and friendly and respectful. Great breakfast with a lot of options! I will give them 10 stars not 5.

Overall no a horrible experience... Stayed one night om my way back to Detroit from Chicago. The front desk lady was very polite. Only issue was the pillows (inserts) looked like they had never been cleaned thoroughly and were all stained yellow. Quite gross. I asked the front desk women for "New" pillows and she ran all over to find me one pillow insert without stains. I believe she was working alone and I greatly appreciated her effort. Probably won't return though as the head-boards and other furniture were quite worn too.

You can tell that they are going through a renovation right now. The lobby and gathering areas have been updated and are nice. The rooms need a lot of work. Beds were not comfortable and the headboard pleather was pealing. There was a rip in the sleeper sofa cushion that could flipped because it was ripped on the other side as well. A good amount of mold in the shower as well.

I stay at Hampton Inns frequently as I travel a lot. This was not what I expected from a Hampton. Run down and in need of repair. Curtains falling off the rail and can’t close them fully. Sofa cushions with large tears in them. No extra blanket for the hide a bed. Cheap pillows. Won’t stay here again.

I only stayed one night, but I really enjoyed my stay. My room was clean and comfortable. The halls were quiet. We were next to an elevator, but there was no noise in my room. Everyone was very hospitable. I would definitely stay here again.

I thought it was weird that I didn't have drapes that I could close. There were just sheers over the window and fake drapes that only go about 1/4 across. Second floor, tree limbs right outside, didn't think TOO much about it 'til the second night, when it seemed like people were sitting in their cars, smoking (?) I could see them...??? Also no microwave in the room. Light fixtures in hall and bathroom made a lot of crackling noise when turned on. Floor of tub was incredibly smooth and slippery feeling. Only one grab bar in center and I felt like I had to hang on to it the whole time I was in the shower. Staff all very friendly and welcoming.

I was disappointed that my room had neither a mini-fridge nor a microwave oven. While there were coffee cups and various teas in the room, there was no means provided to heat water. Now, refrigeration isn’t a huge issue in February, but I’m unable to recall a hotel in four countries without both a fridge and a microwave in over twenty years. Surely a property group as large as Hilton can provide them.

Room furniture worn. Bathtub drain block did not work. Shower options did not work. Windows covered with sheeting - could not see out - felt like being in a tunnel. Nasty bedding with plastic or nylon pillowcases. Outlets did not function. It was really horrible for the price.

We got to the hotel around 9pm, and were given a room that didn't meet our needs. We always reserve a room with 2 queen beds, for our family of 4. We were given a king with a jacuzzi tub. That didn't work, so the front desk said they'd sold out all the rooms and that was all they had. Not great, considering this was a pretty expensive hotel. Then she offered us another room with a king, so we got 2 rooms, but it meant we couldn't stay together as a family. Not a great situation. The rooms were ok, but not very well cleaned, hair in the bathroom, left over garbage in the fridge etc.

Our reservation for a 1 king size room with jacuzzi tub got mixed up with a 2 queen standard room so we didn’t get the room we paid for, we weren’t told of this mistake until I went and asked about it on our way out. We couldn’t be reimbursed, and points were useless as we don’t have Hilton honors. The other party had only stayed one night so we were locked out for a while initially. It was rather clean other than a pile of dog poo on the floor. Overall, a lot could have been understood/over looked but honestly and integrity go a long way and this hotel had none. Hope the other party enjoyed our expensive room! Will not book again.

We loved staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton in Kalamazoo! The staff was amazingly helpful and kind. Especially the General Manager Noah. The accommodations were top notch. The breakfast everyday was delicious and bountiful! The room was large and clean. The bed was comfortable. We loved our stay!

The people who I encountered on the hotel staff were all top-notch. The breakfast hostess was very helpful. The hotel property is starting to show its age. The door to my room was hard to open and looked like someone had use a crowbar on it. Some maintenance on the property is needed.

ratty furniture in the room and a torn Up hassock- I would have thrown in the garbage. 2-3 lamps in room were broken- and just leaned against the walls so lamp shade would not fall off. HOTEL WAS VERY CLEAN, STAFF VERY PROFESSIONAL. BREAKFAST WAS GOOD WITH HOT FOOD. SCRAMBLED EGGS WERE GREAT! WILL BE EXCITED TO COME BACK TO SEE REMODELING RESULTS. (THE ONLY THING I FEEL THEY NEED TO UPGRADE BED PILLOWS TO SOFT FOR ME.)
